More food, more clothes, better phone, nicer car, bigger house, whatever it is. After you have these things, you can feel sense of comfort, sense of happiness. Even you're happy because you were able to accomplish your role as provider for your family. You're able to uphold the duty given to you by Allah to work and not beg. You're able to act upon the hadith of the prophet that the upper hand is better than the lower hand. That person who gives and supports is better than the one who asks for things to be given to him. Notice how took something so simple as getting paid into worship. Because everything you did to get paid in reality accomplishes goals highlighted by Allah and his messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam. So this Ramadan, put that into perspective that with every day and every hour that passes at work while you're fasting is to accomplish the goal and fulfill your Islamic duties. Now your hours spent at work become worship. And because you attain your paycheck with this pure intention in mind, your income is blessed as well. There's balaka in your wealth. The wealth has whole different meaning to it. It'll last much longer. It'll bless everything you spend on it. This is what mean by purifying your intention. But give so every charity operating in every corner of the world serving orphans, the needy, building wealth, massagid, whatever the cause is, your name is written beside it. You're investing in your diversifying your portfolio of good deeds. You don't know which one of these causes helps who and what they do with this help. Believe me that $1 can change your life. And along with doing that, you're taking the rewards of charity such as increasing your wealth. Because the prophet made it very clear, charity does not decrease wealth. So if it isn't decreasing, what else could it be doing? Allah gives more wealth to so many people around the world but not all of them are close to him or even believe in him. So why would you even look up to such people and compare yourselves to them? You're better than that. But if you ask Allah to become rich in Ramadan with the condition that it keeps you close to him. You still have his pleasure man that dua is going to do number. The prophet says that during the month of Ramadan Allah's doors of mercy are open. Allah's mercy is out there no matter the month. But in Ramadan it's easier to get. You can do little to attain it. Less work is required to get Allah to accept your duas and seek his pleasure. That's Ramadan for you. You'll be making tons of duas at different time during the day during afterawi.
