plant of the day today is blue flax and it's right behind me and love this plant for its true blue flowers mean look at that gorgeous blue color very very dainty fern-like foliage so it's nice Airy filler for your perennial garden it likes Rocky dry areas with good drainage and you can see we have it growing here in between some lead plant and some babesia only reaches about 2 to 2 and 1 half ft tall so it's nice Airy filler for your perennial garden love blue flax it's favorite of mine but it can be very sensitive to overwatering so be careful if you are especially while it's small be very sensitive to not under or overwatering for those first few months normally would say it can be little bit difficult to grow but actually my cooworker here Janelle she put it in her rock garden and she says it's spreading everywhere so in the right situation it will seed out and spread beautifully and become really beautiful ferny sort of filler amongst your other native perennials
