we are instructed to maintain ties with our relatives and next of kin but if we do not get on with them or we don't like them what is the minimum level that we have to maintain in order to fulfill the rights of maintaining those ties of kinship the minimum level actually is if they they say Salam to you you return Salam to them you and you should do Salam to them if you meet them if they become ill actually that you should actually go and visit them if someone dies you should go and pay condolences if they invite you toward somewhere like wedding or anything one should go and so these are the minimum things which person or eates and interaction one should always keep no matter one can get on with them normally like other friends sitting there for hours and things if they don't want that's fine but this is minimum human rights for every Muslim and relative obviously has even more right actually for that as well
