In today's lesson, we'll explore group of particles known as in English. You can call them and its sisters are the family of is family of six particles which are And these are also known as meaning abrogating particles. That is because they enter on the nominal sentence and abrogate it by making the subject accusative and make the predicate nominative. For example, if we have sentence, in the sentence we have Muhammad as al-mada and as so this makes up nominal sentence in Arabic it is. Now if we use in the beginning of the same sentence it becomes now it is not because in has abrogated it. The analysis of this sentence goes as follows. Is and is this rule will apply on all of these particles that is alt will be its and al will be its. Now let's learn the usage of each of these particles. and have various meanings and most common of which is that it is used as for emphasis that is to emphasize the attribution of the predicate to its subject. For example, this means indeed is generous. The difference between and is that in appears in the beginning of statement. For example, meaning indeed Allah is all forgiving most compassionate and cannot appear in the beginning. For example, meaning and know that Allah is all forgiving, most compassionate. Here you can say that provides the meaning of that as in the translation. The analysis of these sentences goes as follows. Or it is said that it is that is the particle of emphasis and accusition. And the name of Allah is the noble name is ism of isi. the first predicate of and is the second predicate of. And now for the second example. Is Allah is and is you may find in the middle of sentence and for that there are certain conditions. One of them is if the statement begins with any of the words belonging to the family of that is etc. As Allah says in the Quran here you see that after meaning they said we see and following it is what is being said and it translation is Allah has certainly heard the statement of those who said indeed Allah is poor while we are rich. Another example again after meaning say the statement begins with the translation of this verse is say Muhammad indeed Allah leaves astray whom he wills and guides to himself whoever turns back. Now next particle is which is used for two purposes. Number one, resemblance known as for example is and it is it and is the meaning of this sentence is it is as if the angry person's face is fire. And purpose number two is assumption in Arabic. For example, meaning it is as if is playing. It should be noted that the intending meaning depends on the context. Next particle is which means but it's used for rectification in Arabic. That is following up speech by negating what is imagined to be affirmed or affirming what is imagined to be negated. Let's understand this with the following examples. Meaning is strong. While saying this, the listener might assume that is also brave. So to negate this assumption, we say but he is coward. So means is strong but he is coward and the analysis goes as follows. attached to it is it is of and it's built on and meaning in the accusative place and jaban is so this is to negate what is imagined to be affirmed. Next example meaning is poor. The listener might assume that is poor so he is not generous. So to affirm what is imagined to be negate we say but he is generous. Okay. Next particle is which is used for wishing in Arabic that is expressing desire for something that is difficult or impossible. For example, is so it is and is its translation is if only youth would return which is impossible. And an example for something that is difficult is of poor person who cannot afford the expenses of Hajj. And he says is attached to it is and it is built on and it is in the accusative place. So the translation of this sentence is if only could perform Hajj to the sacred house. And the final one is it is used for two purposes. Number one, hope in Arabic that is for something desired or loved. For example, perhaps Allah will have mercy on me. And number two is fear or concern. In Arabic, that is to show concern or fear. For example, meaning perhaps the wounded person will die. Now there are some rules for the usage of these abrogating particles which are as follows. Number one, it is permissible to have its noun indefinite. For example, meaning it is as if nothing happened. Number two, its predicate is like the predicate of the nominal sentence. That is it could be mu. For example, meaning indeed Allah is swift in account and it could be jumla that is sentence. For example, meaning verily Allah forgives all sins which is and an example of is meaning verily it is Allah who is all forgiving most compassionate and it could be for example meaning it is as if you or from Yemen. Perhaps the teacher is with the principal. Point number three, it is permissible to have the predicate between the particle and its noun. For example, meaning indeed to us is their return. meaning then indeed upon us is their account and it is mandatory if the noun is indefinite. For example, verily with hardship is ease. Point four, it is permissible to use on and so we say ini or ini or and with lea it is not omitted most of the times. So we say not and with it is not used most of the times. So we say instead of okay one more point regarding the usage of the pronouns with in that is if the noun of these particles is pronoun then the pronoun used will be detached pronoun and these pronouns are considered accusative when appearing as noun of one of these particles. For example, and becomes For example, verily he is rich. And here becomes, for example, verily she is rich. and becomes verily you are rich. I've explained all of the detached pronouns in another lesson. The link is in the description. That should be it for this lesson.
