The next Hashemite Caliphate

النص الكامل للفيديو

They are descendants of Muhammad sal Allah alaihi wasallam. As said before, if we were to elect Khalifa today based on the original principles, the five pillars of Khilafah, we would have to select from this family here, Abdullah's family, or from the Alawiya. They are the two people right now, two families right now in the Muslim world who fulfill all five categories. So, if we had to select Khalifa based on the principles of Sharia or what the fuqaha have decided are the five pillars, these are the the two families we have to select from. Often times you hear, "Why doesn't Al Saud just declare Khilafah so we can all give bay'ah?" Because they can't. That's the reason. They don't have the fist. They're not from from Banu Hashim. They said we wouldn't last, but here we stand. Well, this is the Hashemite kingdom, which technically didn't last very long, but it was established in 1918. And then it has its own branches in Jordan, in Iraq, in the Hijaz for short time. Where do we position Hussein ibn Ali? Under which category would Hussein ibn Ali come under? The builder, yeah, of kind of exactly. By default. Founder builder, yeah. So, then of course his sons, we know the three sons, and the king the British gave them certain parts of the Middle East. They are under which category? Are they founders? Inheritors. Yes. Inheritors. Because they're under their father. They were actually leading campaigns for him. They got to meet him, of course. He was training them. He prepared them for lead. So, they are they are inheritors. Within their own right though, Abdullah is the only one who maintains long-term dynasty. You could say within his own right, he's kind of like builder. Jordan, the chance Jordan, is like his own project. So, he's kind of like an he establishes his own house elsewhere. So, he's transitionary between builder and inheritor. And in between those two categories. The successors then will be people such as Hussein. Yeah. So, the Hussein who we know with the PLO and the war against the Israeli state, he's the successor. And now we are at the level where don't know whether we have destroyers yet or not. Does anyone think we have destroyers in the family tree so far? Have we reached the destroyer status yet? Or we still in the successor stage for the Okay. Only have few young guys. He ruled in the Hijaz for short period of time. And then he ran away. When Ibn Saud came in town, he ran away. He didn't last long. So, for him it was overly it was over very quickly. Faisal goes to Iraq. First he goes to Syria. He claims Syria, but then the French come in. He's chased out. He goes to Iraq. And when he gets to Iraq, Gertrude Bell Lawrence of Arabia and Sati al-Husri help him forge new Arab state, known as Iraq. he has dynasty there. He has three generations. Faisal the second is gunned down. And we know the revolution in Iraq, right? The entire family is gunned down, cut up into pieces, dragged through the streets. So, it lasts certain amount of time, but it comes to an end eventually. It comes to an end eventually. the only ones standing are the the inheritors of Abdullah. Yeah, they're still around. And would tend to agree they're still in the successor stage. don't think they're yet at the destroyer level. So now let's look at another family. This is the Moroccan Alaoui family. Who quite interestingly we don't talk lot about actually within the Muslim world. There's not much mention about this family. They are also sayyids or ashraf. So in the same way these were Hassani ashraf. So too were are the Alaouia in Morocco. And they take lot of pride in preserving and and displaying their ancestry back to Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. So here's very brief depiction of this some of their ancestry. There is very elaborate one if you look at online. Very elaborate and the king himself takes pictures in front of it. Very elaborate tree, beautiful. They are descendants of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. As said before if we were to elect khalifa for today based on the original principles, the five pillars of khilafah, we would have to select from this family here, Abdullah's family, or from the Alaouia. They're the two people right now, two families right now in the Muslim world who fulfill all five categories. So if we had to select khalifa based on the principles of sharia or what the fuqaha have decided are the five pillars, these are the the two families we have to select from. Mhm. These two families here. Oftentimes you hear why doesn't Al Saud just declare khilafah so we can all give baya? Because they can't. That's the reason. They don't have the fifth. They're not from from Banu Hashim. These are the two here. Yeah, it's not binding condition. I'm saying if we were to apply it literally, cuz the fifth category was abrogated when it came to be known that it's not something that's feasible anymore. It was abrogated by certain scholars, certain faqaha. Yeah. Is it Muhammad al-Khamis? We've covered his story in the Shadow History. so, these people have very long history. Now, they actually bucked the trend because Ibn Khaldun said within one family, four generations, they've been around from since the 17th century. So, they certainly outlived that prediction. the founding fathers, Moulay Ali Sharif, who established the dynasty in the 16 1600s. So, they've actually lived long time. They're still around. Mou- Moulay Ali Sharif, I'm talking Moulay Ali Sharif. His father came from Hijaz. Yanbu, that's it. Thank you. Thank you. Barak Allahu feekum. His father came from the Hijaz. They invited him to North Africa as an honorable thing cuz he was Sharif. So, they established the family there. His son establishes the first dynastic seats, and from there it continues. Yeah. So, these were Arabs from the Hijaz, first generation. But, they've outlived, you know, and like the Moroccan family. like the Moroccan royal family. don't dislike any royal family, to be honest. Technically speaking, they've done their thing. They've also got their history. But, like them lot more cuz they've had longer time in power. And you don't often times hear lot negative coming from them. Although, there are certain issues of mon- normalizing with Israel and ties with Israel. We know about all of that, but technically speaking, they're all doing it, if we're being honest. but, like their family. they stand out. So, now we have another family which actually ties in almost perfectly to Ibn Khaldun's theory. Welcome to History You, the world's leading online learning platform specializing in Islamic history.
