foreign scientists are driven by the Quest for beauty as much as artists are there's this interface between Science and Technology with art and most people have this preconceived idea that art is somehow very separate from science and technology and that they are maybe incompatible but they've always talked to each other for me it's very much great way to open conversation with people who may not otherwise be thinking want to learn about chemistry they will see an image and it gives them reason to want to learn more sell into this as scientist who just happens to have experiments that are quite aesthetically pleasing I've been doing this now for approximately 30 years over time I've used this as scientific method and within the last 10 years really start to use it as tool for also trying to reach out to broader audiences and and maybe try to can convince people that scientists are really creative and we really value creativity and we value Aesthetics both in our daily lives but also in our science and so showing different side of Science and scientists to general audience think is something that's really important and and really enjoy talking about that
