should wear my prescription glasses less so my vision doesn't get worse I've been asked that question many times the quick answer is no it doesn't matter but it does deserve an explanation the idea of wearing glasses is that when they are on your vision is supposed to be better once you've experienced wonderful Vision it's more difficult to accept the blurry vision you have without the glasses glasses don't do anything other than make you aware of how good your vision could be and seeing well is kind of nice it's no surprise people find themselves wanting to wear their glasses more it's like wearing hearing aid hearing aid ought to make your hearing better so say asked would wearing hearing aid somehow cause your ears to become worse we would agree that hearing aid does nothing more than help you hear and obviously it wouldn't make your ears worse it's exactly the same for glasses if you put them on your vision should be better and if you remove them presumably your vision would be less the glasses aren't going to cause any damage to your eyes if you truly feel like your vision is changing changes in Vision should always be reported to your doctor of Optometry otherwise if you enjoy the great vision you have with your glasses would advise that you wear them with no concern that there's anything wrong with that
