The one have had on my desk for the longest time is the extra large one in linoleum not only the texture feels premium and smooth but it also gives my setup defined workspace and it's easier to keeping cables neatly organized reduces clutter and increases the functionality of the desk my system for maintaining clean setup is very simple use this cheap nylon cable ties from AliExpress to neatly arrange wires together then store them inside tray that are bought on Amazon which can be screwed at the bottom now can easily identify cables when need them and keep my workspace tidy when natural daylight fades in the afternoon having smart lamps in the space can be very convenient in total have three light sources to evenly illuminate the office while working the first and most functional one is the ScreenBar Halo from BQ what like most about it is its beautiful Touch remote which wirelessly controls the lamp my preferred configuration is the back lighting as it creates cozy glow of light behind the monitor that relieves eye strain the second light is actually combination of an LED strip light attached behind my desk and light bulb from Wiz with this alone the office receives enough light to avoid being too harsh on the eyes you can adjust the color and intensity of the light within the app however preferred to buy the remote controller Which is far more reliable lastly for additional lighting there's another lamp on the taller shelf to fill the rest of the space the Philips Hue Go this has been more of an aesthetic upgrade than functional one but have to say that I'm very impressed with its quality unlike Wiz the Philips Hue application is much more reliable to the point where it makes me want to buy more of their products typically basic office items lack Aesthetics and are often hidden away however that's not the case with these scissors which seamlessly combine good design with functionality they stand on their own for quick access and can be transformed into box cutter with simple flip another stylish and functional item on my desk is the Black Wing sharpener which acquired through pencil kit collaboration with Grovemade if you're working long hours at your desk every day standing desk will definitely improve the overall functionality of your space to be completely honest haven't really use it to work while standing up however having the capacity to change the height position of the desk allows me to do two main things that couldn't do without it the first one is being able to easily access hidden spots behind the desk while cleaning and the second is crossing my legs more comfortably if you want to cross your legs you usually have to lower the chair height and when you want to go back to the original position you have to do quick jump or stand up which can be quite frustrating with standing desk you only need to set the height of your liking making it very convenient moving on to the drawers bought desk organizers from IKEA specifically the RAGGISAR collection without them the drawers would be total mess and wouldn't look as good as they do now for the longest time I've been looking to buy good foot rest to improve my posture while sitting at the desk however the shipping fee is often more expensive than the product itself so I'm temporarily using this laptop Riser from NOOE which actually does pretty good job with it and to be honest it looks very good with the setup on the other hand for better typing experience and to protect my wrist from uncomfortable positions use wrist rest from Grovemade this elevates the wrist to comfortable position while typing and help prevent condition like carpal tunnel syndrome and repetitive strain injuries which actually have if this is too expensive for you is my external webcam of choice it's Compact and offers multitude of incredible features including 4K image quality AI tracking hand gestures and excellent software for adjusting camera settings among others even though the webcam has built-in microphone prefer to use the Shure SM7B which is already connected to my audio interface and allows me to achieve professional sound the microphone is mounted on the gator framework's boom arm for easy position adjustments and the built-in XLR cable is connected to cloud lifter to illustrate the difference between the buil-in microphone and the
