peace be upon his soul the greatest of prophets Islam was his only go muham from among all the prophets muhamad was the last as his was mission of the greatest task there was only moral degeneration people cl to Idol adoration welcome to new episode of the Prophet teaches what is lawful is clear and what is unlawful is clear and between the two there are some doubtful matters stay with us in this episode we are explaining the Hadith of the Prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam which is one of the top five Hadith upon which the whole religion of Islam is built let us listen to the Hadith and then have some discussions inshallah on the authority of Al numb bash may Allah be pleased with him who said heard the messenger of Allah peace be upon him say that which is lawful is plain and that which is unlawful is plain and between the two of them are doubtful matters about which not many people know thus he who avoids doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his religion and his honor but he who falls into doubtful matters falls into that which is unlawful like the shepherd who pastures around sanctuary all but grazing therein truly every King has sanctuary and truly Allah's Sanctuary is his prohibitions truly in the body there is morsel of Flesh which if it be whole all the body is whole and which if it be diseased all of it is diseased truly it is the heart collected by bukari and Muslim confusion chaos the pain man emerged and muhamad was his name greatest of prophets is this Hadith of the Prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam is one of the five Hadith as we mentioned upon which the whole Shar Islam is built we talked about the Hadith of intentions the Hadith which talks about Innovations and now what is lawful is clear and what is unlawful is clear and between the two there are doubtful matters this Hadith at the beginning was related by Imam bukari and Imam Muslim andn ma Andi and lot of compilers of Hadith it was so famous and why spread amongst them it is authentic which means that the narrators are reliable and it does not contradict any other authentic Hadith of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and is one of the recognized companions he narrated lot of Hadith on the authority of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam amounting over Hadith and and his father are companions so they may Allah subhana be pleased with them both and Bash was young when the prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam died he was almost 10 years old that's why his most of his are termed anith is prophetic tradition which misses the link between the companion and the prophet or between follower and prophet so here we may have missing link between an and the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam but according to this Hadith he mentioned that he heard it with his own ears and he witness the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam reading and reciting it to the people which mean that it is top authentic the Hadith under discussion explains three major topics number when it talks about Halal and Haram the lawful and unlawful and between the two things there are an area which is ambiguous which most of the people don't understand these are the doubtful matters there are differences among the scholars on the doubtful matters and we will explain that and thirdly the Hadith talks about the heart how it motivates the person and how it plays major rule in understanding Halal and Haram this is one of the greatest points when Allah subhah wa tala refers us to our Consciousness to the Shar as point of explaining what's lawful and unlawful and also to our Consciousness and this is the greatest Observer upon the self upon the person himself our respected brothers and sisters Allah subhah wa ta'ala made lot of things lawful and permissible for us including eating and drinking Allah mentioned that in the Quran the basic rule in Islam is that everything is permissible unless there is clear decisive proof which provide otherwise the lawful is something that Allah subhanahu wa taala established as permissible for the umah to practice or to enjoy or to take and the unper permissible or the unlawful is something that Allah has paid threatening or punishment on its perpetration it is one of the greatest favors and bounties of Allah that he took the responsibility of making things lawful and unlawful it is not out of the Mind of person or even prophet it is revelation from Allah subhah wa ta'ala he said in the Quran and do not say to the things this is lawful and this is unlawful out of just putting lies and attributing things falsely to Allah those who ascribe things falsely to Allah they do not succeed there is no precedent in Islam everybody exerts his effort to understand the text still the basic dominion and Authority lies in the hands of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and the prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam after him every leading Imam commits errors and he also speaks things which are right and everybody we receive and we reject from his statements except except Muhammad S.I wasam the infallable some of the people we need actually at the beginning to understand what is the doubtful matters these are between the Halal and the Haram the scholars explain them in different categories the doubtful matters are things upon which the scholars differed and we do not have decisive clearcut proof regarding them for some deeply rooted schols they are clear either permissible or impermissible because the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said in his Hadith lot of people don't know the legal rulings of those doubtful matters which means there is still existence in the of Muhammad somebody who knows the decisive rule regarding the doubtful matters because the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said my nation can never ever agree on an error so there must must be somebody who knows the critical and the the clear cut proof of those doubtful matters the scholars differ regarding some specific issues because there are conflict of the Hadi the prophetic traditions for example some of the Hadi of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam prohibits people to drink while standing other Hadi make it permissible because the prophet wasallam was watch it while drinking drinking while he was standing there are some delicate issues where the people don't know the decisive rule regarding like for example slaughtering an animal the people don't know whether it is lawful or unlawful whether it is slaughtered according to the Shar or not some of the people they acquire the livelihood from illegal or unlawful means of livelihood whether to engage with them in transaction whether to eat because or out of the unlawful livelihood or not to pray in land which is stalen by people or resered by others to drink specific drink which is well I'm not sure whether it is halal or Haram all of those fall within the doubtful matters the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam told us that the people who follow their desires and whims in taking those doubtful matters on which the scholars differ without having clear and decisive proof about their permissibility or impermissibility they are exposing themselves to what is Haram they are falling into the Haram sometimes because the shatan will drag them the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said in his Hadith whoever avoids the doubtful matters and stops committing them Allah will clear his religion and honor he will have his religion and honor cleared out of criticism Muslim is required in fact not to expose himself to criticism the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam was seen by sfia one day standing in front of the Masjid of his mosque and the sahaba the companions were passing by so the prophet sallam called upon them and said this is safia my wife the sahabi said messenger of Allah we don't think ill or evil have even evil thought about you messenger of Allah he said just to clarify the issue for you so Muslim is not required to expose themselves to the criticism of people or even to fall within the doubtful matters there are lot of things the people need to know the legal rulings regarding them and they fall within that area which is gray we need actually to clarify our honor and our religion by avoiding those doubtful matters this is one of the critical views and one of the message that this Hadith tries to conveys to us we will have further explanation of the doubtful matters how to avoid them in the next segment inshallah stay with usus chaos pain man emerged and mamad was his name the greatest of prophets Islam was regarding to the that we living but in fact according to this it is totally different so the states that what is lawful is clear all the time yeah regardless that's why the scholars prefer not using or Islamic jurist Prudence for minorities because there is no school for minorities and the other for the majorities here it is the law is the same but they call it or the Islam legal rulings regarding the Contemporary issues that arise and they were not existing at the time of the Prophet sallallahu alaih wasallam here we are talking about caring about the necessity the law of necessity because the people living in the west they are living in an environment which is different from the East so they fall under law of necessity and that necessity some of the people they understand that that's so spacious yeah so for example when in in talking about the mortgage and buying houses as you know taking loan from the bank it is an interest and this is Haram Allah didn't allow it so some the people they say we are under pressure we cannot have rental we cannot rent home and it is so difficult for us we go back and tell them that this is under the low of under are under necessity or not how to understand the necessity let us compare how Allah subh explained the word necessity in the Quran Allah we talking about how if person under pressure he can actually if he's afraid that he can die he will die he can eat from dead animal so I'm asking this brother and if you if you are actually desert and desert and you cannot find food or drink and you have to eat dead animal or pork for example because it is under necessity do you take that pork and you put and make kebab and you make and you put put it in the grill and you make or even barbecue no you eat you eat it while you upour you dislike it and you are fully convinced this is Haram this something that you don't like and when Allah makes way for you and you find the lawful means you will avoid it completely some of the people they just buy house the second house and they make business and even they take it throughout the whole and the car and it comes so for so here we are not talking about low which is different from the low because some of the people they misunderstand this point it is Holy for everybody but it's here we are dealing with the Necessities removing harms the benefits and the objectives and realizing the objectives of the Sharia all within the well established principles of Islam and this is very important to understand and to apply in our daily life then what about the doubtful matters the prophet May Allah's peace and the blessings be upon him he stated that they are in Place between the lawful and the unlawful then what about the legality of such actions are they lawful or unlawful or abominable or what yes because some people for this question some people they they understand the doubtful matters as those questions or issues upon which these colors differ this is not only the definition of doubtful matters doubtful matters also include some of the permissible things that may lead you to commit Haram like for example person is permissible to kiss his wife during fasting yeah so but if he's afraid that it will lead to make an intercourse sexual intercourse so he'll not control his desire in this case he needs to quit that permissible act that's why the prophet didn't do that because he controlled himself well yes that's why some of the SC said that also some of the Abominable or disliked acts in Shar they fall within the doubtful matters the necessity or the necessary procedure that the person must take regarding the doubtful matters some of the those doubtful matters are known for the deeply rooted discolors so if you know if you know the basic rule whether it is permissible or it's not permissible you act accordingly because the confusion was removed in your heart or from your mind but if the doubt is still existing in your mind you hear it is bitter and preferable and even according to the text of this Hadith that you avoid the doubtful matters because they are part of Haram or they are more close to theam to the unlawful that's why the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said whoever falls in the doubtful mothers definitely he will fall in the Haram either because the doubtful mothers are things which are close to the unlawful or they will drag the person to commit what is unlawful this is this is the reason here some people say that it says that so that's you say that if anything is in the Quran or in Sunnah so so we have to follow it but if it's not in it so it's like it's okay to do it like like smoking some people smoke and say it's not in the Quran or in the Sunnah and when the make or it's Haram they like it doesn't matter the Quran doesn't say it so some some of the people they think that it is doubtful yeah yeah but it it is actually unlawful because here we are talking imaf explained that very clearly he said everything that falls in our world there is way in the book of Allah subhah waala of sitting guidance how to solve it if there is problem on the face of the Earth so here with regarding smoking it is something which is sh condemned because it is something harmful and the messenger of Allah Sall Ali wasallam said there is no harm to be inflicted or reciprocated because of the harm that's why it is the all the scholars all the scientists established that smoking is something which is harmful to the body harmful to the wealth of the person harmful to the surrounding so it is something which is Al it it doesn't fall within the area of doubt the that the scholar we talking about yeah mean like the and Haram like they don't have to be in in the Quran or Sunnah like clear or like it's like it's in the Quran or the Sunnah yes and there is yeah and there is also still room for some of the people they call it sometimes you know things are little bit permissible but you need to clear your yourself it is you don't like to and will give you an example it has big effect in our lives you one day there was man his name Al Mubarak he was slave Al Mubarak was working in in in vineard for his master he was just slave and serving his master so was guarding that vineard for long time yeah immediately his master actually visited him and he asked him to bring bunch of grapes to taste so he brought the first bunch and he found that it's sour he can't taste it so he said bring me another one and he broke the second and the third and then his master was amazed yeah you are guarding that Vineyard for long years and you did not even taste it and he said no because you just sent me as guard you did not send me as tester for that and Subhan Allah the master took Al muak as slave and he freed him and he gave him his daughter in marriage is the fruit it is son called abdah he is the greatest color this is Subhan Allah the fruit of Halal the fruit of good livelihood how the person when he is caring about his means of livelihood and his risk Allah subhana especially when he is out of the doubtful matters that's why even in the Hadith itself the prophet says yeah and whoever falls in the and the doubtful matters is like person going around pasture of king because in the old days the Kings they had LS pieces of Ls dedicated for the Patcher of their animals they grow the animals and raise them on those areas so the people to be afraid of approaching those areas and pieces of lands they had barrier and they have distance which is hot areas hot hot lands where they cannot approach that's why Allah the prophet gave us an example in this so whoever the area of Haram here so the people go around yeah so it is once you leave and you yes you make barrier between the Haram there must that's why the scholar said there must be some of the people they live part of the Halal out of fear that it may fall but this is with regard to the unfortunately
