in this picture there is pen two pants and many pens how to say this in Arabic let's see in this video assalamu alaikum this is lesson six in our Arabic grammar course that teaches you Arabic grammar from scratch words in Arabic have three versions concerning to their number so when want to say have car say have two cars say rindi sayara ten have many cars three or more say indica as you see here the word sayara is singular it's just one and when you learn the word in Arabic you learn its singular version that is we call mufrad while the words means two cars it's dual form we call it when you have two things in English you consider it to be plural because no do will form in English it's just singular or plural but in Arabic when we have two we don't call this plural we call itanya and as for the word sayarat many cars it's plural or what we call in Arabic Gemma this is when you have three or more so now we can say that is words in Arabic concerning their number have three versions the mufrat the singular the Dual the musana when you have two things and algema or the plural mufraid but how could we change the mufrad into musana or Jama in English when you want to change word that is singular into plural form you simply add the suffix at the end of the word this is in most cases in Arabic we also have suffixes that we put at the end of the words to show the Dual or al-mutana and to show al-jema let's start by the muthana suffixes any word in Arabic that you need to make it you add alif noon at the end any suffix so for example becomes pen and two pens kit book and two books adore and two doors house and two houses what about if the word is feminine or if it has the marbuto at the end like the word sayara you change the time into usual normal ta to be able to join it with the elephant two cars Library maktabatan two libraries kurosa notebook two notebooks this rule makes no difference between the human and the non-human words both are the same in changing them into dual form or musena so if have word like tobib doctor two doctors are Toby Ben female doctor two female doctors are Toby Betton another thing you have to be careful about here is that you can sometimes change the any suffix into any suffix noon why do we do so we learn it in the previous lesson that we have cases grammatical cases for the ism in Arabic and the jar case we change the elephant case so you can find that kitabeni can come like kite bayini and the meaning it is still the same two books or two notebooks or two pens now let's speak about the plural or algema to show the plural form in Arabic or algema we have three main types the sound masculine plural and the sound feminine plural organ or the broken plural General Ataxia let's see each one with details the first type Islam or the sound masculine plural this type of Gemma is shown by adding either wall noon at the end of the noun use this suffix if you want to speak about the people if you want to say teachers Muslims Engineers many but for people not for objects people here have to be males or mixed group males and females but not only females only females is coming in the second type of Gemma let's change these words into Gemma mudarris teacher teachers someone is coming and the adjective in Arabic can be plural if you change the noun into plural you have to change the adjective into plural too Adam is one for one person one is coming coming also but for many people why do we call this Gemma sound masculine plural someone means we don't break the original word you have to keep the original word as it is Muslim Muslim Moon Moon soon you just had an una at the end with no change for the original word just when you want to make boy like boys teacher teachers you keep the same word but you just put an at the end you also can find change on the suffix at the end to be in at the end in the jar and cases you may ask it's confusing them has the same yeah noon at the end while the sound the plural for masculine can have yeah noon at the end too how could you know if this is muthanna or this is Gemma they are known for the duel or foreign the second type of Gemma is the feminine sound the plural to show this Gemma you just add an alif at the end alif Med and at the end when do you use this Gemma you use this when you have word if it speaks about human or non-human things female teacher becomes female teachers akar ending can change if it's in the jar or not case into tin so you will find it the third type of the Gemma is General taxir or the broken plural why do we call it broken because we break the original word and we make changes on it look at this example the word the column when want to make Gemma say books in these examples we changed the word totally not just adding some letters at the end of it so the word we added alif Hamza at the beginning after the lamb and for the word kutub we changed the marks we changed the vowels and we remove the alifmed you can call it irregular plural just like some words in English when you want to make child as children you put r-e-n at the end mouse mice there is no rule for such words you just learn them by memorization and the word is that follow this kind of Gemma in Arabic are so many including human or non-human words so make sure when you learn new word to learn it's plural form now let's summarize what we have learned for today we learned that listen concerning number has three versions the singular and musana the Dual algema the plural al-mufrad or the singular is the original word that you learn like we use it when we say two things we simply add alif noon at the end two teachers two female teachers say Yara ten two cars two pens no exception in this rule all the human and the non-human words follow the same one and for Gemma you have three types of Gemma you have the masculine sound the plural in which we add wow noon at the end like soon use it only with human with people and the second type is the feminine sound the plural when you add alif at the end and you use it for words that have ta marbuto at the end for human and non-human words like mudarris for the third type it's broken plural it's irregular and you have to learn it by memorization like Alem becomes and now it's exercise time or and send it to our telegram channel the link for the channel is in the first comment below change is singular following words into dual and the plural teacher column pin mohandisa female engineer notebook book fossil classroom Muslim Muslim and that's it for today hope you get benefit of
