today its pages 48 350 and it's about what you've been doing and learning about volcanoes and earthquakes and floods and all and now it comes time for you to do some writing in your book as you have been and you guys have been really good about it on the question and I'm gonna hold it up even if you don't have it you're doing 48 through 50 today and 48 the question says what happened to the land well don't think you could see the picture will real well so I'm going to explain it if you went down road and all the road is just all cracked up and broken and in fact it can split all many different ways what do you think costs that to happen and it's going to be an earthquake alright and this is what we need to figure out what to write and I'm going to show you that the question says explain what happened to the land that's where you have to look at the picture in your book so wrote and this is what you can - or you can write it little bit different than mrs. - mangas that's for sure and if you aren't sure just think about it and it also gives you that you can go back and look in your book by far this is just to be of help to you and what wrote is an earthquake made the land landslides sometimes it gets too wet and it can't hold together anymore so there it goes all right so and volcanoes know they're little different within themselves as well all right so we're going to put and as our answers okay now down at the bottom it says explain how rain can cause the event you circled in question two and we circled and so flood happens when there is when there is too much rain all right and it can happen easily more so than we know and it can be very quick so when there is too much rain in short time can really cause trouble you it's quite amazing that it doesn't take much and if it's been raining even up to just 15 minutes but it's very heavy things can happen I'll read that again for you flood is when there is too much rain in short time and some people really depending on where they are it really is trouble because of it raining so much the ground and I'll go back through this again don't worry the ground cannot soak the water in it's too much for it to do it all at once cannot soak the water in you know soak the water in it just it just can't be done it's too much it's just too much for it so because it's too much because it's too much the soil begins to move and then slide down the hill because it's too much the soil starts to move break apart and there goes the heel and there's nothing that we can do to stop it so I'm going to go through that with you again to be of help okay and want you to know that in what you're doing and learning about how the earth changes sometimes it's very quickly sometimes it's in minutes sometimes like you know with the erosion part it may take thousands so if you so whether is in this case big factor so let me go through this again real quick for you this is your lesson for today 48 through 50 alright we know that because of the way this picture looks and most of you have it the roads all cracked and everything that's caused by pretty strong earthquake ok pretty strong there and then with that happening for the earthquake the earthquake what did it do it made the land shake very strongly and then that's why the ground cracked okay and then on the next page we circled which item below events that caused are caused by too much rain are the flood and the landscapes okay flood when there is too much rain in short time it really changes everything the ground cannot soak all the water
