hi welcome back to Tiny teaching tube are you ready to learn today yay woohoo what is all this excitement well today we're going to dive into our punctuation friend exclamation mark an exclamation mark is punctuation that goes at the end of exclamatory sentences so what's an exclamatory sentence an exclamatory sentence is sentence that expresses strong emotion or feeling or to show emphasis shock anger Joy excitement surprise all of these strong feelings and more let's look at some examples our team just won the football championship how would you express this joy and excitement would you say yes we won or yes we won exactly we want to use exclamation mark to show that we are super happy and excited here's another one Philip wants to show that he's really Amazed by the ride that he just went on at the amusement park that was the best roller coaster ride ever that almost sounds sarcastic let's try that again that was the best roller coaster ride ever yay the exclamation mark is used to show how excited Philip is it sounds like he wants to go on it again let's use an exclamation mark to show anger and frustration Timothy is blamed for something he didn't do and he's angry about it Timothy you took everyone's apples didn't you no didn't do it really didn't by adding the exclamation mark you're showing more emotion than using just period you can also use an exclamation mark at the end of strong command maybe you want to tell someone to do something but with more Force be careful go away don't touch that if someone keeps bothering you even after you told them to stop say it with more Force stop that and exclamation mark lastly you can use an exclamation mark at the end of an interjection an interjection is word or phrase that shows short and sudden burst of emotion here are few examples hooray ouch wow boo yuck fantastic no way hey can you think of any more good job you did amazing staying tuned and learning all about when you can use an exclamation mark just remember to use it when you want to show strong emotions or to show emphasis just little warning don't use it too much or else it'll just look like you're yelling if you enjoy the video please do me favor and like And subscribe so can continue to make more of these videos if you want more practice check out the links in the description thanks and see you next time bye
