Welcome Wonders to Toldja World Colors. My name is Jennifer and today I'm going to be sharing with you guys quick flip through of baby animals. this is Smithsonian coloring book. It's illustrated by Rachel Curtis and we're just going to go through it really quick. It is the same size book as Circle of Life by Mel Manny and your Johanna Basford books, your Mythographic books. So, it's that same square format book as other well-known books that you might already have. the front cover itself is little bit glossy and thicker material. It's got this inner flap. And then it starts with an illustration on the title page itself. This is all baby animals. So, it's super adorable and think the illustrations are so nice. These are very realistic depictions of these animals and we don't really get that very often. So, it's one of the reasons why absolutely love this book as well as the information that you get alongside of it. So, not only do you get exactly what it is so you can look it up, see what it looks like and color it accordingly, but you get some random tidbit facts on the side as well. The illustrations on the fact page repeats itself throughout the book and these illustrations on the side here, some of them are framed in, some of them are illustrated like mandala and some of them are just full page of what that animal is. And really enjoy like this one here is just it is what it is and really like that. but also like the borders that some of them have and do enjoy mandala every once in while. like this frame here is really it looks like it's just so fun to color and then this cute little the orangutan in there so adorable the baby elephant just so super sweet and do plan on coloring this page here as my first page really wanted to color it last month for one of the hashtags that was hosted for what was it forget but really wanted to color that page and still have plans to color it but just wanted to come in here and do really quick flip if you don't want to hear any words you can mute me you'll see me pointing at random things throughout the flip through but it's always an option if you don't want to hear chattering while you're just trying to get feel for what's inside of this book and that's exactly why decided to do quick flip for this book because don't see very many people color in these Misodian books in general haven't colored on this paper yet it does feel very smooth so I'm curious to see how colored pencil would work on it but would imagine that if you use intense first and then pencil to add extra details and shading it shouldn't be too bad but it is extremely smooth paper so just so that you're aware of that there's not much tooth to it at all but just love these pages these animals the animals that they chose to include in this book as well they're different some of them are in other coloring books but yeah this porcupine how many times do you get to color porcupine? So, it's just it's so fun and so sweet, especially the fact that they are little babies, too. That always makes it so fun and cute, as well. So, yeah, just really like this book. And Smithsonian has couple different books out there. know there's dinosaur one, there's predator one. they have couple different ones, but not all of them are readily available. So, know some of them are hard to get. They do have birds book, as well, that really do want to get. just haven't gotten it yet. And we'll see, cuz I'm on my no buy for 2026. Look at this guy. He's so cute. so, hopefully that bird book sticks around, because really do want to get that. But, if don't, it just wasn't meant to be. So, we're coming to the end of the book here. And all these pages are just so magnificent. love the realistic approach to these animals. They're not Zendoodly at all. They're exactly what they are. And although you have the patterns and the frames going around them on some of the pages, they're still the animal for what it is. So, really do love this book, and cannot wait to put color on the page. And as soon as do get color on page in my completed pages video, will let you guys know what my experience was like coloring in this book with this paper type.
