Here is some important information you must know before entering the Holy month of Ramadan (Ramadan Mubarak to you all) 1. While you are fasting, do not swish water in your mouth hoping for some water to slip down your throat (sarcastic tone). 2. An injection in your intravenous or intramuscular won’t break your fast. 3. It is disliked that you swallow phlegm, but if you had to, it’s fine. 4. Intercourse with the wife/husband during the day in Ramadan breaks the fast. 5. If it happened; then you will have to make it up and fast for two consecutive months or feed 60 needy people. 6. The secret habit (masturbation) during the day in Ramadan breaks the fast, and you will have to make this day up. But wet dreams won’t break your fast, just shower and continue with your fast. 7. If you throw up unintentionally, continue with your fast. 8. But if you throw up intentionally, your fasting is invalid. 9. It is disliked that you taste your mom’s cooking even if you don’t swallow it. 10. Don’t worry, your mom knows what she is doing ;) 11. The Sunnah is that if someone served you Iftar, you should pray for them. 12. The most important Hadith you can hear about Ramadan: The saying of our Prophet Muhammad - peace and blessings be upon him: “Whoever does not let go of false sayings and persists in this behavior, there is no need for him to leave his food and drink”, or as he said, peace and blessings be upon him. False saying is like backbiting and gossip So take care. 13. The Hadith which says that “the beginning of Ramadan is mercy, the middle is forgiveness, and the end is release from the hell fire” is weak Hadith so don't share it. 14. and the hadith of “Fast to be healthy” is also weak. So, don’t repeat or share them. 15. If man or woman has reached old age and is unable to fast; he or she will have to feed needy person for each day he or she couldn’t fast. 16. The ill person who has chronic disease that prevents him or her from fasting; the same will apply, he or she will need to feed needy person for each day they couldn’t fast. 17. As for the one who is required to make up for the missing days, this is the traveler 18. and the ill person when they have recovered. 19. As for the one who is forbidden to fast in the first place, the menstruating woman, should make up the missed days. 20. Of course, chewing gum will break your fast. 21. If you see someone eating or drinking in the day of Ramadan (the person forgot he or she was fasting), you must remind that person. 22. Blood work won’t break your fast. 23. It is good to brush your teeth for good breath, but be careful and don’t swallow any of it. 24. Nose drops, that goes into your throat will break your fast. 25. Eye drops won’t break your fast. 26. If you are to pray Taraweeh at the masjid, and reading along from you Qur’an, and if the Imam made mistake or forgot verse, please don’t yell to him trying to correct him from far away. There is always Hafez right next to him to help, and the Imam won’t be able to hear the correction because of your yelling. 27. While you are praying Taraweeh or Tahajjud at the masjid, please be quiet while you are going back and forth because some are sleeping and some are not feeling well, and be considerate of others, while you worship you should not disturb others. 28. Fasting is to guide you and break the arrogance in you 29. and not to lose your patience and make it hard for the people around you with the excuse of ‘fasting’. 30. It’s ok to perfume yourself and smell good while fasting. 31. And start practicing fasting few days in the month of Shaban, so your body will get used to it. 32. Because the Sunnah is to appear in your best shape while fasting and not to sleep all day long; And whoever sees you will think you are zombie. 33. Don’t focus only on the eve of the 27th (Laylatul Qadr) rather you should do your best in each night of Ramadan and even worship harder in the last ten days. 34. From the Sunnah is be happy and bring happiness to your family on the day of Eid. 35. There were people with us last Ramadan and now they are gone; remember to pray for them. 36. There are three moments when Dua’s are accepted, among them is the fasting person at the time of breaking their fast. 37. No one knows who will live to witness next Ramadan, so don’t delay the good deeds. 38. There are some people, whom their lives change completely in Ramadan, and for them it’s turning point. This Ramadan, you should make it your goal to be one of those people. 39. Make your intention starting now to fast and perform extra prayers. 40.
