Create individual schedule from group schedule without code in Excel

in this video i'm going to show you how you can create individual schedules from group schedule without any code in excel so have my big my big schedule here so have two shifts morning and evening shifts and have employees one through ten on the on on the list now have already linked employee one here and so you can see that you can see that they have worked half days and then six to nine now let's look at the the schedule here and then we'll stay full evening we'll say for saturday don't know what the hours would be for that but if you put it in there it's going to appear on the next one and so there you have full evening in in this one so let me show you how did it so let's we have employee two i've got the morning already linked so let's show you how you link the the evening okay so what i'm going to do is i'm going to select the cells for monday tuesday or sunday monday all the way through saturday for the evening shift here for employee 2 and then i'm going to go equals in the menu bar and i'm going to go equals transpose okay and then i'm gonna have an opening bracket and now i'm gonna go back to my large sheet and then so it's employee two so i'm gonna go select from this cell all the way to that cell and i'm going to close my bracket now this is big and important this is an array you need to press these three keys at the same time control shift enter and what that's going to do is it's going to put curly brackets around your it's going to put curly brackets around your your formula now you cannot key in the formula with the curly brackets it's going to not allow you so now for tuesday or for monday they're working they're not working days so let's may have them work in the evenings and so i'll go you can put anything you want in here it's all going to be carried over full day or full evening guess okay and so now let's go over to employee 2 and there you have the full evening so let me demonstrate it one more time so with employee 3 don't have employee 3 linked at all so now let's link the morning so i'm going to select the first cell all the way down to the end and i'm going to go up to the formula bar and i'm going to go equals transpose and then i'm going to go back to my large sheet i'm going to select the morning for employee three and i'm going to close my bracket and i'm going to put i'm going to press ctrl shift and enter all at the same time so there we go so now let's go back to my large sheet let's put in some days let's have have this person working on saturday or sunday and wednesday and friday so now let's go to our employee three and there you have the three things three yeses in there okay this this file will be available if you email me and will happily send this to you so that's how you link individual schedules to group schedules please subscribe
