hello everyone this is great for cattle history we'll continue with unit 2 islam in the arabian gulf region so this is part 2 of lesson 1 the rise of islam in the arabian peninsula let's go to our objectives first recall important events during the appearance of islam in the arabian peninsula including tracing the family tree and lineage of prophet muhammad second is discuss the key points of the first and second pledge of loyalty and last describe the events during the muslim migration to yatri in the previous video we have discussed about the appearance of islam in the arabian peninsula so we have noted down that during the pre-islamic period the arabs and also other people they lacked knowledge in terms of political economic social and religious aspects and that there was need to be saved from this ignorance invited towards enlightenment and this was when prophet muhammad ibn abdullah peace be upon him gave the message that was islam also in the previous video we have discussed bit about the childhood of prophet muhammad that he was fostered by bedouin mother by the name of halima al-sa'adeyah who belonged to the tribe of panisad also we have discussed the family tree of prophet muhammad his father was abdullah and his mother was amina his paternal grandfather was abdul muttalib and also we have in here all of his other ancestors and in schoolwork tab we have an activity wherein you have to complete the family tree of prophet muhammad peace be upon him so please make sure to check that out also we have discussed about the stages of call to islam in mecca so we had the stage of secret call to islam wherein he started inviting people to islam for three years beginning with his closest relatives and friends and also others that he expected to help in the mission of spreading the message there was also the stage of the open call to islam but then this was when he faced difficulties because of the quraish leaders who did not want to reject idolatry so they wanted to keep their position with the other arab tribes and despite this prophet muhammad can continue to invite them to islam openly for 10 years also we have discussed the migration to habasha or the english means departure or migration so because of the threats that they face from the quraysh leaders they decided to leave to habasha so they were accepted there during the first migration they started off with 12 men and four women and during the second migration there were 84 men and 19 women led by bin abi talib so this was the map of how they moved from mecca to habashalan now let's proceed to the pledge of loyalty so we have the first ahaba and the second ahaba so the messenger peace be upon him benefited from the hajj season by calling people to believe in allah and abandon worshiping idols so after 11 years of history to call for islam there were delegations or representatives from al-awas and al-qasraj two of the biggest tribes in place called yatrim who arrived and listened to him so they returned to their hometown or their homeland and informed people of what they had heard and seen so they were also instrumental in terms of spreading the message of islam to people in their homeland so now in year 12 of the islamic message the first pledge of loyalty happened so when you say pledge of loyalty you mean like promise to be loyal or faithful to certain person or to let's say faith in this case it's islam so the small groups returned and told their people what they have seen and heard and they swore allegiance to the messenger for the first time so allegiance meaning faithfulness okay or devotion now twelve men asked the prophet's follower musa to teach them the holy quran so this was when they began learning more about islam by reading the holy book contributed in spreading islam and was known as the first ambassador or representative for islam so like the prophet muhammad he also went to different places so that he can spread the message to other people so islam started to prevail quickly in al madinah now let's go to second ahaba or second pledge of loyalty so it was during the 13th year of the mission so there were 73 men and two women who belonged to the tribes of al-aws and al-qazash they arrived in almadina and what happened then they met the messenger and promised to support his noble cause so they all pledged loyalty they all promised to defend and protect him as they defend their children and siblings so it's remarkable pledge because they promised that they would protect the messenger the way that they protect the members of their family so they invited the messenger to visit their city and he also agreed because he was seeking safe place to spread the message of allah now we go to the prophet and muslim migration to yatrib or the hijrah so as mentioned earlier means migration or departure so when quraish disbelievers knew about the pledge that al ahab they were very troubled by the results so the there was the bad treatment and abuse towards the american muslims and it only grew worse because they were threatened by the increase of followers of islam now the prophet muhammad peace be upon him allowed his followers to migrate or to move to yatrim okay because it was safe place for them so muslims went to yatrib secretly so that they could avoid the bloods or the threats of the non-believers so this was what happened the series of events that happened during the now the quran ish decided to kill the prophet before he could catch muslims in yatrif okay and succeed in establishing powerful state but allah diffused their plans or stopped their plans and blinded their sight okay and the part of history is ali bin abi talib he took the risk and slept in the prophet spent so the prophet moved for the sake of allah and accompanied by his friend abu bakr al-siddiq hid in cave of mountain called thor where they spent three nights okay so this is picture of that mountain cave mountain where they hid to protect themselves from the threats of the quraish so let's continue the grace of allah was surrounding and protecting the messenger and his fellow followers so the attempts okay of the quran ish to find and tried him failed so both the prophet and his companion abu bakr al-siddiq arrived to ba'a he spent four days and laid the foundation of the first mosque in islam called the hubba mosque okay this is picture of the first mosque in islam the mosque of so the prophet arrived on monday the 12th of rabia which is as you know one of the months in the islamic calendar so he then left the yatrib and changed its name to al-madina al-munawara which means the luminous city or the city of light meaning they have found the light of the message of islam so al-madinah was given the honor of hosting the best of the best prophet muhammad and he was welcomed warmly by the immigrants and al-ansa so this is map showing the migration of the muslims from mecca to escape the threats of the quraish tribe going to yatrib which was changed the name was changed to al-madin so remember that the prophet muhammad and also his followers had to face lot of challenges in spreading the message but that did not stop them and because of that they were able to establish the first islamic mosque so please do check your qatar history and citizenship grade book for more information about
