As the great poet said despite the great ability of those who describe his beauty time would be extinguished and there remains in him much that is undescribed. And as the great 20th century poet Rahimahullah Ta'ala, he said "Ma madha aqulu fi wasfika al-bahi faqad ajazal lisan wa zala an fikril quwa." That how what can describe of your dazzling beauty because the tongue proves in incapable and the mind proves feeble. so, there is tremendous amount that has been written about the prophet alayhi wasallam. The one of the starting ground of any anything regarding the prophet is the Quran itself. Right? The the the first person addressed by the Quran is the prophet alayhi wasallam. Many of the things of the Quran, if you believe that Allah is literally talking to you it's kufur. Cuz it's directly to the prophet alayhi wasallam. Right? And if you took it completely literally you'd be considered mad, right? It applies to us by implication. Ya ayyuha nabi, if you really think that Allah is talking to you, then you'd have to believe that you're the prophet. That would be kufur. Right? So So, the Quran contains amazing praise of the prophet alaihi wasallam. Every every aspect of his life, every circumstance and state of the prophet alaihi wasallam. Actually, every part of the physical body of the prophet alaihi wasallam is mentioned in the Quran. Every single one with praise. Right? So, pay attention to that when you recite the Quran. Right? And every virtue and virtuous act praised in the Quran, it the prophet alaihi wasallam embodies it perfectly. So, that's that's something as part of our reflective reading of the Quran is don't disconnect the Quran from the one who embodied it embodies it sallallahu alaihi wasallam. So, that's something one should one needs to remember. And where do you find those perfections? You find them in the person of the prophet alaihi wasallam. The it especially in time when there's been significant disconnect from the prophet alaihi wasallam, it is it is very important to prioritize reading about the character of the prophet alaihi wasallam, how he was, which is his shamail, the description of the person, conduct, and character of the prophet alaihi wasallam, because the life story of the prophet alaihi wasallam is what happened to him. But who is he? That's what the shamail teaches us. And one is expected to know both. Right? But, for lot of people, they they will not have read that much about the actual character of the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, his conduct, his habits. And the the habits themselves, even the physical description of the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, makes you appreciate the divine concern, the inaya of Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala for the the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. and to marvel at him. So, we would recommend to to make the most of the month of Rabi' al-Awwal, the month of the birth of the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, to read about his conduct and character. It has transformative impact. and there are, alhamdulillah, now many very good books in English on, you know, on this. One that we would particularly recommend cuz our teachers always recommend is Our Master Muhammad by Sheikh Abdullah Sirajuddin, which is translated and and published in two volumes by and it and it's available. Our Master Muhammad by Sheikh Abdullah Sirajuddin. You can find it at Firdous Books or other good online re- retailers. and that's highly recommended. And it's written by 20th-century great 20th-century scholar, and it's beautiful work. That that work is in in Arabic. And he wrote he writes with depth and nuance, but with great clarity. Sayyiduna Muhammad Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, shamailuhu, by Sheikh Abdullah Sirajuddin, is highly is highly highly recommended. There's other there's many other great works on the on the subject as well. And that has practical aspect as well, cuz we're to look at where are you with respect to the prophetic character with respect to the prophet prophetic character. So, those are That's That's one one work that we'd recommend. There's other There's many other good works on on the Shamail that that can that can be that that can be recommended. You'll find number of such works at the Firdous Books books dot com. They have number of good books, and that's website that we'd unhesitatingly recommend because they only carry reliable mainstream books. they don't So, that's that's that's good website.
