hello and welcome back to the channel my name is Adrian Rogers from the teacher trainers if you're teaching teenagers and you're looking for some fun activities today I'm Bringing you five that you can try in your next lesson to ensure that your students are practicing different skills in English while having fun in your lesson let's get started so before we start with these activities would like to mention that they all follow the same criteria number one they are all suitable for teenagers number two they can can be adapted to any level lowlevel teenagers high level teenagers number three they require very little to no preparation at all and number four when your students do these activities they will be practicing more than one skill in English if it sounds good let's get started so starting at numer Uno we have the activity Pictionary and this activity is used for practicing speaking listening vocabulary and why not drawing skills so for this activity you will have to prepare some abstract pictures any topic or theme that you want you can either print them from the Internet or if you're good at drawing feel free to draw them yourself then come into the class and hand one picture to each student ask them not to look at it and to hide it so that no one else can see it after that they all stand up and they stick that picture on another person's back then you give each student blank paper and pen or pencil the activity works as follows you will give the class 2 minutes to go up to someone and describe the picture they have on their back so that they can draw it after 2 minutes you ring bell or you say change and the student has to find another person and continue describing the picture the aim of the activity is that at the end when everyone is done they compare the picture picture they drew with the original one and see who drew it the closest to the original one this is lot of fun and students will be practicing different skills in English without even noticing try it they'll love it and num those we have super fun activity called clay for this activity you will have to prepare some modeling clay or Play-Doh come into your class and divide your class into two teams ask them to choose team name and WR it on the board then bring one student from each team to the front give them piece of modeling clay and show them word when you say action they will have to run back to their team and actually use the modeling clay to model the vocabulary word that you just gave them the first team to guess the right answer will get point remember to remind your students that only the other team members can speak the person who is modeling cannot speak until someone says the actual correct word this is lot of fun and it is very useful for students to practice vocabulary listening and speaking number three we have classic called Chinese Whispers ask the students to stand up and divide into two lines go up to the person at the back and give them or whisper one word when you say action that student will have to whisper the word to the person in front of them that person will have to whisper it to the person in front of them and when it gets to the front of the line the student at the front will have to run to the board and write down the word that you have given the person at the back the first team to finish writing the word and write it correctly will get point you will have so much fun seeing what one person hears and what the other person writes try it the students who are teenagers love it and it is also very good for practicing spelling and vocabulary number four four we have backto back this one is great for practicing speaking listening vocabulary and pronunciation start by creating worksheet with 10 boxes the ones that go from top to bottom number them from one to 10 from left to right write to inside the boxes write down some phrases while you leave other boxes blank on another paper do the same thing but fill in the the boxes that were blank on the other paper and leave blank the ones that were filled in on the other paper name them and go into your class and ask your students to stand up divide into two lines and stand back to back with someone one line will have worksheet one line will have worksheet their job is to find out what information is missing on their payer by asking the person behind them how will they ask they will say hey what is 1D what is 3j and making sure that they fill in the boxes that are blank while providing the information that the person behinds them don't have it's super cool activity you can customize it with any phrases that you feel are suitable for your class and students will be practicing pronunciation listening and speaking and of course vocabulary number five and last we have mystery story this one works every single time ask your students to sit in circle and give them blank piece of paper ask them to write down from top to bottom on the left of the paper the following who what when where and why and then asked them to think of someone that they all know famous singer politician or any celebrity and write it down next to who when the finished asked them to fold it so that no one can see the name that they have written and asked them to pass the paper to the person on the right then when they get to what ask them to write down something that they think that person was doing of course they don't know who they're writing the action for for example was walking the dog in the park was swimming in the beach after that they fold the paper so that no one can see it and they continue passing it to the right then when they get to when you ask them to write down time in the past for example yesterday 2 years ago last night and when they're finished they folded and continue passing it to the right when they get to where you ask them to write down place in the classroom at home on the moon wherever they want they fold it so that no one can see it and they pass it to the right when they get to why they have to write down reason why they think that person did what they did for example because he was very stressed and wanted to have fun because he was very hungry and didn't know what to eat after that they all open their stories and they take turns reading the full story written by different people in the class everyone will have blast reading the stories this activ it is great for practicing spelling reading listening and little bit of speaking try it it's hit and that is the end
