IELTS Listening Practice Numbers 2

hello and welcome to this IELTS listening practice lesson today we are going to listen to and practice writing down numbers okay so welcome to this listening practice activity and as have done in previous activities for listening will say ten different numbers so on piece of paper please write down one to ten and then as say each of these numbers write down what you hear and as you know numbers are important because in the listening exam you are bound to get some kind of number usually two or three or maybe more different numbers it could be percentage it could be phone number it could be price that listening for numbers is important that's why we have practiced it few times so if you are ready hopefully you have one to ten written on piece of paper let's begin number one one thousand six hundred number two triple five three four two nine three double six number three two million three hundred and fifty thousand number four eighty seven percent number five nine hundred and forty-seven number six twenty five point five percent number seven zero nine zero double eight three double three six number eight eight thousand five hundred and twenty four number nine 520,000 number 10 1997 okay so there are ten numbers didn't have anything else around the number didn't put them into sentences didn't give any context so it was just number that you have to listen for and write correctly so in minute will put the correct answers on the screen if you need to go back and listen again you're aiming for ten out of ten if you do make mistake think about why you are making mistakes what numbers are difficult for you is it difficult when you hear double number or triple number is it difficult when you have something extra with the number like percentage or point so think about what is difficult and practice those things to improve the problem areas so now here are the correct answers make sure everything is correct one number wrong would make the answer wrong so make sure it is all correct and that you do have percentage for questions four and six so hope you did well with that if you need to please watch some more videos on my other on the You Tube channel have lot of spelling and listening practice videos for you so please go and watch those and don't forget to subscribe so you can get updated with my latest videos as add them to YouTube so thank you for watching and good bye
