Al dear brothers and sisters assalamu allum welcome all of you to my channel the Arabic classroom as we all know that reading is foundational skill that compliments and enhances language learning with that in mind have created small series of videos covering the essentials of the Arabic language focusing on reading proficiency if you're new to Arabic it is crucial to understand these terms and rules for reading and writing the Arabic language and if you already have some knowledge of reading the Arabic language recommend going through each topic to ensure you are familiar with all the terms covered in these lessons so with the name of Allah asael and with with his help let's begin let's start with checking out the letters Arabic has 29 letters of alphabet which are alif ra sin Shen CF lamb me noon ha Al which is the first letter it serves two purposes one it prolongs consonant as in where we have alif after prolonging its sound number two it acts as bearer of ham as in abun you can notice that on Al if there is small Hamza indicating that this Al if is bearing Hamza on it if we have word insan you can notice that there is Hamza below Al if in the beginning and it gives sound of and another alif prolonging the consonant scene which was sound originally but after attaching Al if it became so the whole word sounds like insan we will learn this in more detail in future lessons inshallah
