Why I Bought this Analog Travel Alarm Clock in 2026 Casio TQ 140 Review

Hey, how's it going everybody? Hope you doing well and today want to talk about this little clock right here. So, bought this on Amazon. saw it and just really really wanted to get it. this is small travel alarm clock made by Casio. this is called the Casio TQ-140. And you can see if zoom in really far, you can kind of see it right there. It says TQ140. Now, this is meant to be small little travel alarm clock. Very small, compact, lightweight, meant to kind of take with you wherever. You can throw in bag and guess the reason bought this is because obviously in time where you know, phones are just taking over everything. you know, obviously wear just standard analog watch every day or or or or digital watch, but I'm not really into the whole smart watch game. And I'm trying to move away from my phone as much as possibly can and saw this. it was only like 17 bucks on Amazon and just thought it was really cool. love the design. So, bought it and want to talk about it. So, we zoom in here on the face of the clock. So, going around here, you have these glow-in-the-dark numerals. As you can see, they're like this kind of light green color and all of them are marked with dot going all the way around. You have the second hand there. You have the hour and you have the minute. Now, you notice this tiny little hand right here. So, this is actually your alarm. So, right now obviously it's just showing the time. It is almost 9:25 and the handles are also glow-in-the-dark as well. You see those little green hash marks in the hands. so right now the alarm is set at 6:00. So, every morning get up for work at 6:00 a.m. So, basically what you do is you set it at 6:00 and then there's this little tiny push tab right here and you basically push up on it and as soon as you see that little glow-in-the-dark tab, then you know that your alarm is set for 6:00. Now, this this little alarm clock obviously doesn't know the difference between a.m. and p.m. So, before you go to bed, you know, just basically reach over, push this up and now know that it's 6:00 a.m. or the next time it's 6:00, this alarm is going to go off. same thing if you want to wake up at 6:00 p.m., you would just set this before you go to bed and then it would go off. But, I'm going to do example of how this works right here so you guys can see. So, how you set the alarm is you basically just rotate it when it's in the closed position. So, right now it's all the way pressed in this little wheel right here and you basically just turn it. So, I'm going to turn it to 9:00 because right now it's obviously past 9:00, so it's going to go off. So, you just set it to 9:00, pull up, and that's it. Push it back down and it turns off. And then you can turn it to whatever time you want and it'll go off. So, I'm going to set it back at 6:00 there. And then how you change the time is you just pull this all the way out like this. Let me zoom back in so you guys can see. So, pushed all the way in, it's ready to go. Pull it all the way out like this and now you can adjust the time however you want. So, I'm going to set it back to 9:25, push it back down, and now it's ready to go. It's that simple and it runs off of one AA battery, which really like as well. Has very very simple little door here for the battery. Snaps on just like that. Zoom in here. So, right here you have the speaker, obviously made in China, and then you have your little you know, diagrams of how everything works. Your on and off, obviously. Up is on, down is off. And that's basically that. The whole thing is made out of plastic, and just really, really like how tiny it is. like the novelty of it. let me go grab UV light and show you guys the glow-in-the-dark feature on this thing. don't know if you guys can see that. But, you see how they glow in the dark. Yeah, you see it's you can see it for like second cuz my camera keeps trying to not focus. But, you can barely see it. But, it does work really well. obviously, it doesn't you know, the camera does not do it justice. but this thing has really, really nice glow at night. So, just keep this thing right by my bed and just like that it requires, you know, no plug-in, just one battery, and you're pretty much good to go. So, you can throw this in any travel bag, take it with you wherever, and it will work every single time. So, I'm I'm I'm not totally sure why bought this and why I'm doing review. just thought it was really cool. just in super, you know, digital age, it's nice that, you know, Casio is still making these little, you know, quartz, movement travel alarm clocks.
