Hello friends welcome back to my channel my name is Anna if you're new here today we are going to talk all about Behavior charts so if you are struggling with behavior issues in your house really think that this is going to help you so stick around hey friends am so excited to share with you guys this like very very excited because it is working amazing in our home we are going on like almost three weeks of doing this behavior chart right here I'm gonna flip it around and show you everything in just second but want to explain kind of our reasoning behind it how it started all of that so we have children who sometimes have an attitude when they have to do their chores even though they get paid for their chores used to have like little Mark system on their chore charts where they would get money deducted if they didn't do it with happy heart and all that but the tour charts are all the way downstairs which is kind of hard for me to go down there and Mark all the time and this is right here on our fridge which am around like most of the day so this is working out much better and this visual of seeing these coins has been everything for my kids also have boys and boys can be real gross and real crew food lot of the times especially when they hang around certain people and my boys needed some help remembering Their Manners and this has been game changer we started implementing this few weeks ago and y'all have seen an incredible change in their attitude literally anything that need done I've just asked them to do I'm like you're gonna get coin for it and they will instantly like jump up and like fight over who gets to do it they're coming to me daily multiple times day saying mommy is there anything can do to help you and help you actually means is there anything that can do to earn coin especially by the end of the day when it's time to start getting their coins cashed in then they're like really motivated to do extra work and that is actually the time of day where mommy is not motivated to do any extra work so it's been working out perfectly and so now I'm going to kind of share with you guys how I've done it all but to make this behavioral chart all you need need is some washi tape all you need is some pennies and then these little magnets that you they're little circular magnets they fit perfectly around penny and you can get these at Walmart or I'm sure Michael's Hobby Lobby and then you just need some printer paper and way to print some of this out did laminate these ones so you might want to also have laminator but you really don't have to have that basically they earn coins anytime want them to basically but it's more about their behavior so like what's their heart posture as they're doing their chore as they're unloading the dishwasher as they're vacuuming the floors are they doing it with really mopey attitude are they doing it with good attitude if see them do something really kind for someone like maybe one of them will go fix another child drink and didn't ask them to do that I'll give them coin for that and really try to reward kindness and people going out of their way to do kind things for other people so am very very generous with these coins too like will give them coin for just about anything because have found that is like how this system keeps going if you're really stingy with your coins they're less likely to want to do this whole thing so just like give them we give them coin if they eat lunch really good we give them coin for saying please and thank you like it's anything you want to do you can do with these we also take them away really easily so if they take toy from their sibling if they're bickering we will deduct toys if they don't go to bed when we tell them to go to bed we deduct coins so let me turn it around and kind of show you what's going on over here to make this these lines just use some washi tape because that will remove really easily from my fridge if want to take it off and the kids as they slide it down it has been kind of coming off right there but mean it just pushes right back on one and it has really held up great for the amount of time that we have had it up here for so think it's going to work out great another idea had is you could take this whole thing and put it on like some kind of magnetic board like dry erase board and you could hang on wall somewhere the thing is with our houses we just don't have lot of wall space because there's so much brick and so many doors so just thought this is great place for us because we are also always in the kitchen and the kids can see it while they're eating and it's just great place for us but you could put this on the back of door somewhere or you could even put it on wall somewhere okay so you can see have three of my kids names up here at the top just attached these names with some painters tape and printed the names off and the earned lost in bank printed these off of my computer and then cut them printed them on cardstock cut them and then laminated them just so they would be little more durable and this is also where we keep our coffee and knew that might get splattered up there and can easily wash these off if they get dirty so we have their names there have an earned category lost category and bank category so the earned categories is all of the coins that they have earned throughout the day now if they take toy from someone if they say something rude if they say something crude then they lose coin and it goes into the Lost category and this is the bank so this is where the coins are that are not being used in the lost or the earned category and did want to mention tried hot gluing the coins on there and they are coming off really easily so have found that super glue works lot better to hold these on so if they get coin put into the Lost category they do have chance to earn that coin back throughout the day but they're not gonna get one out of the bank they'll just have to earn it back from here and then they can also redeem name their tickets and just printed this out too and this is just on card stock didn't laminate it because know I'm gonna change this up lot but this is just things that they can get with their coins so they can cash them in at the end of the day if they have five if they have five coins or five tickets we'll talk about the tickets in minute they can get iPad time 10 tickets they can stay up 30 minutes past their bedtime 30 tickets they can have no chores for one day 15 tickets is 30 minutes of TV time 50 tickets is they get to choose what we do on family night 75 tickets they get to go to the movies 75 tickets they get to go bowling 75 tickets they get to go play putt-putt 20 tickets they can get into the prize box and I'll show you all that in minute but it's basically bunch of Dollar Tree toys that grabbed and that put little prices on them if they have enough tickets they can cash them in for something out of the prize box but they can't in Access the prize box until they have at least 20 tickets and did that mainly so that don't have to pull that prize box out all the time it just is gets crazy and also they can't redeem any of their coins or tickets until the end of the night or towards like dinner time like if they want to have TV time or iPad time I'll let them cash that in towards dinner time but the rest of the stuff has to be done like after dinner that way I'm not having to deal with this like all day long so at the end of the day however many tickets they have up here in their earned category is how many tickets they can get so Amy Grace has earned five tickets so let's say it's the end of the day she's earned five tickets she's ready to get her tickets so just went to Walmart got these little raffle tickets that you that are preparated and you can just pull them apart and just pulled whole bunch of them apart and put them in this jar to just make it easy and then gave each child tiny little mason jar and put their initial on the Mason jar with some washi tape this is where their tickets go that they have earned every single day so like Amy Grace this is her jar so at the end of the night would just pull five tickets out of my big jar and put them in her little jar and so if she had enough like if she had at least 20 tickets then that right then she could go to the prize box and pick herself something out of the prize box or get something off of this list the cool thing about the tickets is they can save these so if they really really want to go to the movies they can save up until they get 75 tickets and we'll take them to the movies also told told them if they want something really big like say they're saving for bike or watch or something like that then we can figure out how many coins that they need to be able to earn that bike so was thinking each each ticket would be worth maybe like 10 cents so would figure out about how many tickets they needed to earn enough tickets to be able to afford to buy that bike or that watch and we would help them Buy and Save for something larger that they've been wanting nobody has been into that yet because they are real into this prize box right now but feel like this will be great way to save for bigger things later down the road so we do this at the end of the night don't pull the tickets out all throughout the day that's just too much but at the end of the night they'll usually go in and do it themselves it's kind of like on an honor System and so far no one has abused that yet but I'll let them go keep this like in drawer in our living room and they'll go in and they'll grab themselves having me tickets they earn that day and put them in the jar and then they'll either stay in their jar and they'll save it up or they'll cash it in for something they want right then like the prize box or watching TV or something like that now this is my prize box got all of this stuff at Dollar Tree except for the baseball cards because my kids are really into trading cards right now so did get them few of those to put in here there's like this little foamy football just put little sticker on there that says 25 tickets Silly String wrote 20 tickets on there this big old lollipop 25 tickets some cute little hair ties 20 tickets colorful goldfish the more something costs me the more tickets it's worth so these baseball cards y'all know they're not really that cheap these are 50 tickets and then have like random things in here like chocolate pudding because my kids love this it's 10 tickets these cute little sunglasses are 20 tickets DIY wind chime is 25 tickets so just bunch of little fun things like this think this cost me this whole bin and they've already gotten probably five or six things out of here it's cost me like twenty dollars to fill this little prize been up and I'll probably just add few things to it every time run to Dollar Tree but yeah that is kind of our behavior chart system and how that works hope that this was helpful for you if y'all have any questions about this because feel like it can be little bit confusing you can drop them in the comments below and I'll try to answer that if you have another system maybe that it's similar to this or whatever works for you drop it in the comments below because would love to hear kind of what your system is and how that works this has been working really great for us and the kids have been having so much fun with it so hopefully this video was helpful thanks for watching be sure you give it thumbs up before you leave and subscribe to my channel if you haven't already and will see you guys later bye guys thank you
