hey kids it's time to learn about another 3d shape what shape do you think we're learning about today we're learning about cylinders first we'll learn about the attributes of cylinder then you can practice finding them amongst other shapes finally you'll get to learn to draw your very own in order to identify cylinders you must be able to describe their attributes let's start by talking about faces remember face is another word for flat surface like these two all cylinders have two faces that both look like circles cylinders also have one other curved surface this is not face because it is curved now let's talk about edges remember an edge is where two faces meet cylinders have two faces but they never meet so that means cylinders have no edges finally let's talk about vertices vertice is fancy word for corners do cylinders have any corners nope that also means they have no vertices now that you know what cylinder looks like can you find all four in this picture the toilet paper can of soda can of soup and drum are all cylinders to draw cylinder you'll start by drawing two straight lines next to each other kind of like the number 11. then you'll draw the top and bottom face by making ovals when you draw the bottom face you can use dotted lines to show that that part is actually hidden and just like that you've got cylinder well friends that's all for today time to crack this can open and get me some lunch bye friend if you liked this video and want to see more don't forget to like and subscribe
