imid and that will be taking place on the 21st of December inshallah so that that will be about sort of the the stages of the the afterlife the process that the soul goes through the different stages and of course as you know as someone who who has lost loved one how do you deal with that grief and how do you deal with the the you know the funeral process and everything that comes after as well so in that'll be very informative in terms of what else we have going on so we have pre-marriage workshop coming up in January inshallah we have Toria Workshop coming up in February hopefully inshallah The Retreat 2025 summer period inshallah prear Workshop will be January 1 of January inshah chid so without further Ado I'll give give over to our beloved uhad ran Salim just to introduce the aad before we sort of you know he continues inshallah so alhamdulillah we're we're blessed to be joined by him of course thead is joining us from Egypt so we thank him for his time and we say for for for delivering this course and of course he brings with him mallah sort of Relentless Pursuit of of knowledge aad still calls himself student which disagree with but he began his academic journey alhamdulillah in the UK he studied in open School before continuing on studying in Egypt and then he study further in Saudi Arabia with Scholars such as umaran rayan sorry tar rayan in Egypt and then in IM Muhammad University in Riyad and then he went on to of course go back to Egypt as he's currently in Egypt right now to do that further study inshah and to continue his like said Timeless Pursuit and continue pursuit of of so without further Ado I'll will let thead continue and I'll stop sharing my screen so come everyone can you hear me yeah think we can we're okay alhamdulillah it's clear inshallah so so to brother didn't know he was gonna do all of that masallah but as you know is very key cog and key pillar of Al marif so alhamdulillah he did good intro to the organization so inshah let's get started as you know do like to try to keep to time so don't want to overdo it in terms of the time we want to keep it quite concise so forgive me know that the the setting and hopefully the internet is okay as well it's first time we're trying it from here so bear with us if there's any issues please do put it in the chat but think for now inshallah we'll we'll start so so know there's varied kind of group of people and so wanted to mention few things before we actually get into the itself do want to make it relatively relaxed beneficial know haven't taught for while but think part of this kind of especially the secondary Journey I'm on with the children as well do feel it's something which it's important to kind of keep it relatively open for people to discuss of course there's not really much of discussion in this one but inshah in future course which may do we may open it up bit more I'm also cognizant of the fact that there's different levels so some of you are my students you've been studying me for many years some of you maybe have not actually come to adults with myself before so I'm going to try and keep it balanced as possible I'm hoping that there's something here for for everyone in the sense there will be some Advanced elements to do with kind of Arabic language and the itself but at the same time looking at the Quran from reflective perspective and you know pondering on the meanings and how it can actually be relevant to us think that's important and part of my kind of one of my things that have come up now recently is that when we do classes I'm trying to work towards from my perspective to help people build certain principles when they're dealing with the with the sacred text think it's good Instagram Tik Tok all of these have very important part in terms of providing us that Iman boost but think one of the things especially for students and and particularly calling people who have lifelong Endeavor to learn learn is that to learn key principles within the Shar which will help you that when you read the Quran yourself that you can spot and you can actually start to do your own think there's one thing someone telling you that this is what it means there's something very different telling you how do you try to understand it and so that's something which we want to try and go through inshallah the final thing is and before get into it is that maybe am going to share hopefully if this works let me just give me one second so think you've got this so we do have there is split screen option on Zoom don't know where it is maybe Brother you could potentially point to it but there is split screen where you can potentially put the video as well as the text together but I'll leave it to yourselves inshallah but we will try to go through this and and I'll go through in some in some kind of detail insh so before we start to get into was want to talk few minutes about the importance of the Quran you know when we when we come to like this first and foremost it's very important that you have not come to like this by your own by your own kind of from your own perspective this is something which Allah subhana waala has allowed us he's allowed me to be in situation where I'm able to kind of Converse about the verses of Allah subhana tala but at the same time it is by his permission and mercy that you have actually attended this to learn about the Quran and you know Subhan Allah it reminds me of theith that the prophet Sall wasallam he says that the best of you are those who you know teach the Quran and learn it that is from the best malalis from the best sittings where someone sits to learn about the book of Allah tala and that's why some of the scholars said that actually the greatest that you can learn is actually itself because you learning about the book of Allah and think that's something which is something we should be very thankful for that that Allah has given us number one the ability to be Muslims that he actually guides whom he wills and he misguides whom he Wills but at the same time it's an opportunity for us to kind of rekindle our relationship with the Quran and so when we think about how do we approach not just this class but going forward is very important to be cognizant and be aware that the more that you give to the Quran in this life the happier your Hereafter will be that's this that's this basic Foundation that whatever you can do in terms of reciting from reflecting from pondering from attending class from listening to adults whatever you can whereby you can take some form of the essence of the calam of Allah which essentially it is it is the speech of Allah subhana tala which he is revealed from the seven Heavens through the heart of the Prophet Salli wasallam via Jam upon ourselves the greatest they call it Golden Chain you know direct from Allah through jel who's the best Angel and the Heart of the who is the best of the prophets when you recite the Quran or you learn the Quran you essentially are being part of that golden chain and so it's something that just want you to be thankful for to and we say alhamdulillah and you know our teacher used to say that if we have the ability to say alhamdulillah then you should say alhamdulillah again because Allah gave you the to say it so you are in Perpetual form of and praise to Allah subhana tala so let's get into it inshallah we'll do questions probably at the end if there is time but am planning to finish inshallah by 8 p.m. actually yeah 8:00 p.m. so it's 9:30 p.m. my time nearly okay so this is the we're going to recite the aat and then thereafter insh we'll go into the for so this particular surra brothers and sisters we will go through the English as we go through insh so this Surah is an important Surah it's known as Maki Surah Maki Surah brothers and sisters is they say there's different opinions about what is maki what isini and I'm not going to go into too much detail but want you to again when mention some of these things it's for you to learn so that when you come across the Quran later and you read the at least you've picked something from this Maki many of the scholars say that those ayat or those verses which have or suras in in some cases which have been revealed before the Hijra of the Prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam so we know that the prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam was in Mecca for approximately 13 years and then he went to Madina for 10 and the Hijra is what separates between the two and so makan suras are those which were before the hij of course there's lot of difference of opinion so bear that in mind but primarily that's what many scholars said and these are 11 verses now there are particular specialities about mecan verses number one is that they're very focused oned because they came at time where Islam was quite weak it was very small the people were not believing at that time we know where the people used to gather to learn about the Quran to learn with theas alhi wasallam and so you find that Mak suras have an element of they have an element of this shorter suras they towards the end of the Quran not many rulings but more on spiritual attachment more on maybe comfort from Allah more on providing them what's happening in the these are the kind of messages which come out but one of the key messages which you also find in the Mak Surah sometimes and especially in Surah is that Allah subh sometimes gives form of and also in which is form of comfort when theam would sometimes go through difficult times and they said that the one of the reasons why this particular verse was revealed or these verses was because the mush at the time or the disbelievers at the time of Theo Sall Ali wasallam they found that actually the prophet Sall Ali wasallam was receiving Revelation but as he was receiving Revelation there was pause for certain amount time some narrations mention that the prophet sallallah Ali wasallam it's just mentioned in the narration that he actually hurt his finger and it started to bleed and he said to the finger that you have got you're bleeding and for the sake of Allah and for some reason the Revelation stopped for few days and so when that happened what the mush of course at every point they wanted to ridicule the prophet sallallah alhi wasallam so what they did essentially is they said to theas wasallam one of them called who is the wife of Abu and she came to the prophet Sall alhi wasallam and she said that youran has he is bidden farewell to you saying about the sallam because they wanted any reason to ridicule him at that particular time and you know that grieved the prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam you know number one he was not receiving Revelation so he was upset imagine you are receiving Revelation from the Lords of the world and you are getting direct messages and all of sudden it stops so he felt sad but at the same time he also felt sad because the people were doubting him and if they doubted him then they doubt the message which came from Allah subhana tala and so there was that element there that he felt sad because of that and so this was why was revealed so what does it mean essentially is the first part by the morning brightness and by the night when it becomes still so have pen so I'm using pen now thought I'd try to be bit more techsavvy so hopefully this will work and it doesn't turn into complete disaster so anyway we have here which is the concept of the morning brightness now what they said is that we know some of you will be aware that when Allah he's swearing this is when Allah swears in the Quran and normally you'll know when when Allah swears because he has wow at the beginning all of these are essentially swearing and it's an oath by Allah subh upon something and in many cases it's something which is from the creation of Allah is actually also creation the time the time is creation of Allah subhana tala things which have particular importance and this is used by Allah in order to bring the reader to say I'm about something important is about to be said at the moment and so it's means of reflection at the in for the reader now what you see here is that the imagery that the people or the scholars say about this particular word is that why is it by the for noon and by The Night They said that the for noon is to indicate the imagery here is that Allah subhana is referring to the Revelation the Revelation which comes some of the scholars they said that Allah subhana waala is swearing by which is when Allah was speaking to mam this is by IM and so the scholars took from this and from other narrations and from other elements that what refers to when the Revelation would come down and then refers to the night when it's still means very still and this word is also used when you know when you have when you look at the ocean in the night and the waves start to Cal this is it becomes extremely still as if to say that the Revelation has come down but it's also stopped other Scholars took it further they said actually what it indicates as well is that this is where or the light means the beliefs and the Iman of people and it refers the night refers to the disbelief of the disbelievers and others took it further and they said that this is actually just cyclic element that sometimes you go through good times and sometimes you go through bad times of course there are many and one thing you'll find in there's many interpretations but Allah uses this imagery for you to reflect on his signs in order to to kind of try to put imagery with something something in your own life so once he's kind of established that then Allah subhana tala then moves and there are then the next three ayat which I've clumped together in one Allah Allah says that your Lord Prophet has not abandoned you nor has he become hateful of you and this is such an important part of the Surah and this is the crooks of the Surah you notice that the word has been used this is what said to the prophet wasam she said he said that your lord is means to Bid Farewell and in another narration it's also it said Muhammad that the prophet Sall wasallam had been bidden Farewell by his Lord Allah subhana tala as form of comfort has revealed this particular verse in order to explain to the to theol wasallam that your lord has never left you and it's such an interesting narration because they said that think there were 15 days AB said that the Revelation didn't come down but what's interesting about this particular word is in the Arabic word it comes from the word da and da in its root word it means to be gentle and affectionate what this means when you look at this and you don't really see this in the English but I'm just explaining you to give you taste of the language is that we know that when you say which is is the last of the Prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam the concept of bidding farewell but it's someone who is affectionate to you to or this word means that you're bidding farewell to someone who you have love and affection for and so Allah subh is using this word he says your lord is not is not abandoning you he not leaving you again to give the to the prophet Sall Ali wasallam that I'm not going to leave you and you know this is something which is is lesson for all of us you know many of us will face difficult issues and sometimes you think why is this happening to me but Allah for the believer he never leaves them this is something which you will be rewarded in this and you'll be rewarded in the which goes on to the next point and so what does Allah subhana do here he says that your is going to be better than your current life giving us an indication that actually whatever you feel you're going through that you're you're feeling sad and you're feeling depressed and you're feel feeling anxiety and you're feeling difficulty because of what the people are saying and that you feel that you may be abandoned by your lord don't worry Allah subhana taala will be there for you your is better whatever you go through is better for you in the Hereafter and so this is something which you know is form of again and this is big thing which is comfort that Allah subhana tala gives so now the final Ayah in this particular section and this is going to be question for you all because again want you to reflect on some of these points is that Allah subhana tala is essentially he says that in the in the English your lord is going to give you and you will be satisfied so in the Arabic two quick things this is for those who kind of are studying Arabic from my students and others who are interested this lamb is form of emphasis when you sometimes you see this in before verb or you might see it before like for example Scene It can indicate form of emphasis Allah says about the prophet Sall wasallam that you upon the greatest of character this SAA which you also see sofa means something which is going to happen in the future but it's far away right in comparison to seen when you see seen before verb this means something that's going to happen in the future but it's close so Allah says in particular verse that the Su that you know the the degenerates or the people who are lonely are going to say something that means they're going to say it immediately but means that I'm going to give you something far away in the future which strengthens the fact that this is something potentially in the but have question for you all now based on this English and based on the Arabic what do you notice about this particular verse is there something there that you feel that you know don't want to say that might might not make sense but do you see something there which seems maybe out of the ordinary so I'm going to open it up because as I've learned from these educationalists you have to kind of break it up bit what's happening here so yeah so can you Allah so anyone have any idea looking at this particular verse don't know what's happening is it going here right people writing can't see okay sorry yes I'll try to yeah the I'm trying to finish in time but in yes it'll be recorded okay so anyone see anything about this verse the implies will give immediately Subhan Allah good okay that's good one this is known as in the Arabic language which means again something which will happen soon anything else and you can even look at the English version let me try and use this eraser hold on second want and why am asking this want you to think when you're reading the Quran even in the English that you can't see people's comments don't know can see them so hold on minute let me check we'll have to get into this one second just so sorry just in just yes near the chat setting just above where you type you should be able to select everyone and if you're selected to that insh everyone everyone else can see your messages so yeah any particular whatever Allah has gives us is enough to give us satisfaction yeah good that's good point that's something I'll mention okay so I'll tell you something what you'll notice is in this particular section which is here and your lord is going to give you if say to you and this happens in the Quran in different places and you have to look for it if say to you let's say in English say I'm going to give you this pen me I'm going to give you my pen there's me that as an individual the act of the ver is giving you are the one who's been given to and the pen is the thing that I'm giving Which is the object itself what you'll notice in here is is there something missing based on that definition there is what's missing is that Allah said he's going to give you the but what is he going to give you he's not actually said what I'm going to give you and your lord is going to give you what but Allah doesn't mention this the scholars say here that Allah has not mentioned it specifically so that in the mind of the reader and specifically for the prophet Sall alaihi wasallam by keeping it by not specifying it it goes to the imagination of the individual and the imagination of the individual that he has they call it which is form of wanting that subh what is Allah going to give me but when Allah is the one that promised is going to give you something then Subhan Allah you that could be the greatest thing that you can actually ever imagine and so this is what they said it's like you know say to say to my kids by the way say it to friends as well is that you know on the opposite side whatever you whenever you think of of problem you always imagine the worst possible thing that can happen don't know if you used to be like that you think okay let's say for example you lost your job and you think my gosh if lose my job I'm not to be able to pay my rent and if don't pay my rent Subhan Allah I'm going to lose the house and then you know my kids are going to be eating on the street you know you go into some people go into overdrive why is because the imagination is taking them when in reality it's not big issue they can manage they just work bit harder they'll find another job but it's the same way is that if you imagine that if Allah subhana tala what is it that he's going to give me when he gives me something in the you can't imagine it it's something that is something which you think that you could think of many different things and actually some of the scholars said IB Abbas said about this particular Ayah that he says that you'll be satisfied is that he said that it's mentioned in the rewi that he'll be given thousand palaces all the wasallam will be given thousand palaces in the Hereafter and some of them said 100,000 palaces Etc meaning that you will be satisfied with what Allah gives you you know this this dya is like the it's not even worth the wing of mosquito right this whole and everything in it they say the Hadith of the prophet am that if this if this world had even the the the kind of value of the wing of mosquito then he wouldn't give the the the disbeliever water what does that mean it means that if Allah valued this particular Dy if he really valued it and it had such value to him then he wouldn't share it with just anyone he wouldn't share it with disbelievers but the fact that disbelievers can drink they Millionaires and they might curse allaha but they're still benefiting from his Bounty shows that this has no has no value to him because he has he controls the heavens and the Earth and so the point being here is that what Allah will give you in the you cannot imagine and that's what Allah is trying to say to the prophet let's just move on inshallah so let me go to this so then thereafter if we just okay my touch screen here it is minute so then Allah then talks the next part here is now the refers to how Allah subhana taala is showing to the prophet sallallahu alhi wasallam that you are that to show him optimism and to show that why you should not be upset and this is kind of learning for all of us as well when we read this is that he says did he not find you an orphan and give you refuge and he found you lost and guided you and he found you poor and made you self-sufficient and you'll see here when we go through very briefly we're not going to go into detail on these ayat but you see here Subhan Allah that there are three things that Allah is proving to the prophet Sall wasallam to show him that have not left you the first thing is that it is the concept of sanctuary as of Oran he's looked after him he's given him Refuge the second thing is that he has guided him so he's given him hi and the third is that he's given himself sufficiency I.E that he's given him the ability to not rely on people and this is really important you know like when we when we look at our own lives and when you read these verses you realize that we have got so much to be grateful for you know remember when was was looking at something on kind of income levels generally throughout the world for something to do with work and there's website called how rich am wouldn't go on it now but maybe later and you in Google if you put it in you put in your income and you put in the number of depend dependent or your family family members and your children and it basically pitches you against the rest of the world in terms of your rank and level percentage wise and most people guaranteed who are on this call will most likely be on the top 20 or 15% percentile just even just on the fact if you're on average wage or national wage which is what 25k think now 26k and you'll be in the top 20% and many of you who are kind of doing relatively well you'll be in the top 10 maybe top 8% in the world which really shows you that we don't have like many issues like I'm in Egypt and you'll see people like literally for three four pounds they're working all day literally that's what it is because they don't have any other form of income for us is literally it's it's less than chicken burger you would buy and you wouldn't even think about buying for but people are working days or full day just to earn that particular amount and you know even healthwise we take it for granted you know in in Yemen there's place called Huda which is under Hy control it's the north Yemen and remember when was there for with charity and there was there was well and at that well there was boy who was taking water from the well and as he was taking water from the well we just said to him you you know what's going on what's the situation and he mentioned that my grandfather and my sister have passed away and you know we said in we said that you know may Allah make it easy what happened and he said that you know they picked up Cola you know Cola from 201617 became massive massive issue over there in Yemen in particular over one million cases of color and so he said my family's members died because of the the water that we were drinking and you know we said Subhan Allah and we said you know well you know which water like where was this water from he said it's from this well and looked at him and said to him that you know what do you mean you know why why are you drinking from this particular well when your you know two of your family members have just passed away he said there's no other water available in this whole in this whole village this is the only place for water and you know it gets you thinking that we literally we go 5 10 steps up to the tap and we'll take water out and we'll drink to our heart's contempt we don't even think about it and so there's so much that and these are peripherals like you know it's not just the fact that you're given water water is blessing and we say you know Allah says we're in that if you were to count the blessings of Allah You' never be able to count them right but there we think of water we think of Health but there are peripherals things like access to water access to education not just the fact of having it but having the ability to access it these are things to be thankful for and that's why you know when Allah says you cannot count them you physically can't count the blessings that are given so anyway that's just small thing for myself but more so in terms of as reminder so then we see just to kind of quickly touch upon these these particular verses so the first thing we see that we see that Allah say that I've not not found you as as orphan and given you Refuge one of the he mentions beautiful statement about the wisdom of why the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam was an orphan and he said that the normal person normal individual that when they when they're young and when they call out for someone they'll say my father or my mother but because he didn't have father and he didn't have mother by after by six years old after his his mother had passed away Sall Ali wasallam they said he had no one to turn to apart from Allah so instead of saying my father he say Allah Allah his Dua would always be pure for the sake of Allah and so though he was looked after by Abu and his uncle at the same time he was someone who would always return back and that was the wisdom of why the prophet sallallah wasallam was an orphan we see then as well as that Allah says that we have found you and we guided you and we found you lost now this word again this is small thing now for people who kind of want to to kind of understand the the Arabic language and especially with the Quran this is an important point the word when we hear the you will say in the Quran what does that mean we say yeah we say that in the Quran we're referring to who in the referring to the the the Christians right and the Jews in that particular Ayah those who Allah Asel is angered by and then those who are lost but in this Ayah mean those who are misguided right however in this particular verse we don't say that Allah is saying that he find you found you misguided you see the ACT ual translation is lost you are lost right why is this important the reason being is that in the Arabic language you can have words which are known as mus or homonyms they called basically those which have multiple meanings for word and it depends on the Sak and the context of the Ayah and this is why when you if you start to learn Arabic it's about it's about the taste it's about knowing the context of particular Point some of the scholars said that the meaning here when referring to the prophet sallallah Al wasallam means someone who's unaware so he was unaware of maybe particular things in the says about him that you didn't know what was in theab at the time before you were received your Revelation you were not aware of what was in the Quran and things like that so instead of saying that this means misguided which is incorrect for the prophet Sall wasallam we say that he was unaware right is not not unaware not that he is misguided the second meaning it could be is that that he found you poor sorry he found you lost and guided is that he found your people around you were misguided right and so and so you you know they guide you were guided amongst those another meaning is that it could mean forgetfulness that that you were forgetful and then Allah guided you why do mention these the reason mentioned this is important that when you reading the Quran and when you see something that you feel you might not understand then be aware that the scholars of the Arabic language are the ones who understood what the root meanings mean of the particular word and they apply the correct meaning to it of course the Hadith provide context as well but what the scholars do they GA gather all of the meanings like the word Lion in Arabic there are over 150 words words to say the word lion right when we talk about the word insan insan which we're talking about ourselves there's three root words that people say one is it comes from which means to forget meaning that we are inclined to forgetfulness one of some of them said it means from un which means that because we are social creatures that we come together and so there's different root words which can have different meanings and so just wanted to mention this because it's important and it comes under under the concept of something as word called or homonym the third type is and then he mentions that and he's found you poor and made you self-sufficient and so here Allah has shown to Allah to theol Ali wasallam that you are you might have been in time in time of kind of difficulty wealthwise but Allah has made you self-sufficient you're not Reliant upon the people and so again for us these are things that we should be thankful for you know one tip would give you that whenever you get chance to read the Quran always have in your mind even if it's one page half page two ayat always try to say to yourself that whatever come across and read in the Quran I'm going to try and Implement particular message which comes through so you might read an Ayah which or verse or page which talks about sodak so if you've read page then do Amal on that go and try and give sodaka to someone right if you read something about the importance of the orphans or you read about your your family members or your parents then go and show Extra Bill to them meaning that if you can get used to reading the Quran and acting upon it reading upon it acting upon it your whole life will change really it will and don't say this just because I'm someone who does it myself all the time it's just something that we see especially our elders and our Scholars they really advise that and then of course it becomes form of goodness for you in the Hereafter okay so the last few ayat inshallah tal so then Allah now the next three verses are now about an interesting again again this 333 Allah first gave us the optimism that don't worry Allah has not left you and Allah subhana tala will look after you and you'll be happy the second is that this is an Evidence why is Allah not left you his evidence is that he is looked after you when you're an orphan and he's guided you and he's given you self-sufficiency the next level down these next three ayat are now about that if Allah subhana tala is being like that with you then you have responsibility to be like this with the creation and this is where Allah subhana then says that as for the orphan do not oppress him and as for the beggar do not repulse him and this is very important link with the other ayat is that the scholars say that if you want to be treated by Allah subhana tala in particular way then treat the people how you want to be treated by Allah subh this is they say that treat the people how you wish to be treated by Allah subhana wa ta'ala and and it's so key and I've seen it you know so many times where people they they're so merciful to others and you see that Allah just gives them Mercy just just naturally and these are the people that you know the the vulnerable in society are those the more that you show goodness and to them the more that Allah will show you goodness you know there's that brother in America don't know if you've heard you might have seen there's documentary that that whenever there are children who are end of life you know they're extremely unwell then they he looks after them he's big bearded man from Libya he's in America at the moment don't know if it's Canada or America and his don't think he's married his whole job and he's probably in his 50s or 60s now his whole job is that people who are end of life children specifically children he looks after them until they die and think there was the US news reports about him that look at this individual ual and you see you know Mah he's got you know the Sunnah he wears has beard etc etc and think to myself you know people can teach and you might have you know people who have got millions of followers and they might give millions of pounds of sodaka they might they're living good life you know there's no issue but this person is really sacrificed and think he's hit the jackpot because when he meets Allah he's going to say that your and your slaves who were the most vulnerable and the people that the people left and they left them on the side that looked after them for your sake and looked after them tried to make the Muslim before they passed away and would look after the the the poor and the needy and my whole life was spent in that can guarantee inshallah tal insh can't guarantee but you can say with good level of kind of hope for that individual that Allah have you can't can't guarantee for anyone but your evidence comes in the the acts that you do in front of people and so Allah is said Allah has what has put here the we call this in the Arabic don't know why it's not working but my thing is stop now but anyway he calls this in the Arabic the theim is is right it is the object right normally You' say Do not oppress the orphan but Allah has put the orphan first you can see it's got which indicates that Allah is putting emphasis on the orphan that the orphan specifically don't oppress him and you know the sahaba used to say you know some of the scholars used to say who was one of the students of the went from the Sala he said that be with the be with the orphan that be like them as merciful father specifically for Orphans why is that the reason being brothers and sisters is that the most the most needy and vulnerable person is the orphan he has no one he has no mother he has no father or she has no mother she has no father and so she is the most vulnerable and hence that's why the Sharia and the prophet sallallah Alam calls to you to actually to actually to to kind of look after the orphan and and kind of give it the the time and that's why the prophet sallallah Al wasallam also said to someone who said that I'm suffering from hard heart in Hadith which is is authentic and so the prophet Sall Ali wasallam said to him he said that just put your hand hand over the over the head of of an orphan and you know this brothers and sisters is so important not just from the fact that you have that personal connection but it also shows another thing which is side point that this Dean no matter what anyone says to you from you know the trumps and the Netanyahu and the the atheists and the ex-muslims and the secularists and you know they have nothing I'm telling you they have nothing we in our Shar we have the Sall alhi wasallam looking after the orphans looking after the widows looking after the poor and he would you know spend his time with them and you look after them the lowest of society was there for them and Allah in the Quran he's saying look after the poor and the needy and the orphans and those people who are and those who are widows and those who are divorced all the people who are needy our religion calls and commands that you should look after them if that's not an evidence for the rahma and the the beauty of the religion and it's the greatest evidence for the fact that we that people say we're vulgar don't know what else there is even Allah talks about the captives he says look after the captives that actually our sh and our teachers used to say that the the first rules of War rules of warfare were by the Muslims in the in the Quran you're not allowed to kill woman you're not allowed to kill child you're not allowed to kill monk you're not allowed to kill an old person mean look at what's happening in Palestine mean don't want to go on run but it's very important that when you read the Quran and when you are as part as Muslim never waver and never let anyone think that you're part of religion which is you know which is lowly and which is something which is disaster for Humanity and it's something which goes against our our morals we are the most moral people I'll tell you that straight As Muslims we have the morality which is coming from The Lord of the worlds lord of the seven Heavens not these guys who make you know sat around the table and then the EU and they're making decisions what's Halal what's Haram based on their own desires this is very important that you know these are reflections to take of course there nothing to do with but it's just something that feel is important because some of our youth and some of our brothers and sisters they feel that conflict when they see the news in such in such negative way but anyway so Allah says and do not repul repulse the beggar quick thing on this before we go to the final and we close up what how should you deal with beggar some of the narrations mentioned that of course if you see beggar in the street or someone who needs your help this is referring by the way is referring to either student of knowledge who is needing your help or beggar someone who is struggling and so the point here actually is is that the scholars said is that when you come across someone who's needy if you definitely know that he's needy then try to give something even something small even in some of the narrations even if it's like burnt who if anything you can give to them give to them because of course it's form of sodak if you can't give them something then then give them good word you know speak to them nicely make Dua for them say I'm sorry but don't ever look at them in way whereby you are disgusted or you don't have time try to at least show if you can't give them something show that you are not detested by them this is very important what do you do about those who you think are working and this is separate one which used to ask because you see this in many places my advice for those people where you feel that they're making job like remember in whso Road in Manchester you know people used to say they used to not everyone of course but some people used to it was quite well known that certain people would come there for work that they would just literally pick up tips of what they could people and they'd go home and you know Allah knows best but the point being is that even in those cases if you don't want to give anything it's fine and some people say don't give it to those that you know are working because you perpetuate the situation and it becomes problem but again my advice is try to still don't fall under the person who who repels repulses the beggar or who oppresses him at least maintain your own decorum with them and inshallah Allah reward you even with the smile that you given to them even if you don't give anything to them and this is again just to make sure that we don't fall foul of the the the commands because this is which is essentially which means that you're not allowed to do this forbidden danar of course means to repulse and finally brothers and sisters so we come to the final ay in where Allah subhana he says that and this is something which just want to clarify here that Allah from the and from the the the beauty that Allah and from the yeah giving something to eat is is very good example actually by the way sister nazma excellent that's good one buy something to them at least they use it but in terms of so this essentially means that when you find something good in your life tell people about it but would qualify this there are some mu IM is from them Who quotes some of the scholars who said that it doesn't mean that this is in every single case right and some of the scholars said about this and am actually leaning towards this slightly that some of the scholars said that actually when this Ayah is really referring to those that when you proclaim the blessings of your Lord that those who are your loved ones or those who are close to you are you family members or those who you know that really want good for you why am mentioning that because you know sometimes people when they go to this don't know what's that that that place that Turkish place it sliit my mind now that Salt Bay guy and they they go on Facebook and they put on they put picture of receipt of like don't know2 200 for like you know don't know steak with cup of tea and you know for them some of them is like alhamdulillah you know like and you think don't think that's really the thing you want to be doing really don't think people are really going to be happy for you if anything they're going to think what are you doing and that way you bring about Hass I'll be honest with you things like that you have to be careful right if you find that something really good has happened to you don't see problem like if you feel that you know what for example something like I've got degree of PhD on telephone no problem don't have an issue with it every now and again it's fine but if you find that every single good thing is happening to you you're telling people about it unless your near and this comes to intention unless your near is in sense to say that want to thank you Allah and so I'm showing the people that your blessing you've put on me as form of shook to you see no problem with that the problem is is that when the Nia gets polluted and you've got something and you're show telling the people and it's not for Allah subh tala it's because you want to show the people that you've got benefit there's difference there's big nuance but whenever you tell your family members whenever you tell those who are close to you that generally doesn't come in there because you're not showing off to family members it doesn't work like that when you're with family members it's not showing off and they are genuinely happy for you so that's something just want to mention and this more of element from this particular verse but this is something inshallah that you know hopefully you will you know as form of homework that do read into the of this Ayah go into this verse in more detail and inshallah try to to pick out what you can from there inshallah tala I'm again I'm conscious of finishing on time hence I've rushed at the end if there's any questions quick ones we can maybe over the next two three minutes and then my batter is also going to go somehow yeah I've got my charger here so yeah if anyone wants to ask any questions feel free to type them in the chat or you can use the Q&A function as well and will in read them out to the was going to say as well you know for the side it would have been good idea to get bit of feedback from in form or something you don't have anything ready do you can send send one out on the email maybe if you can and please be honest because the thing is we are thinking of doing am potentially going to maybe do bit more of an advanced course maybe online while I'm here so we don't do online generally at all so this is the first time after very long time but yeah think it's depending on like you know is the lighting Right video speed tone I'm going to too much detail not enough detail all of these things if you can please give honest feedback so we can at least learn from it inshallah tala okay yeah of course my mom is going to say that this name is my mom so was expecting that anyway she always does that if there's any questions then there are few just just one or two very quickly in where is so if just scroll up bit think in so sister nazma says it's more about kinship then just give me second where at is that the question yes no it's not necessarily no mean look the thing is I'm saying that some Scholars said that it doesn't some of them have not qualified are you talking about the nma question yeah not sure which question but if it was the question then it's the scholars have not some of them have not qualified it at all so it's it's completely General no issue you can tell anyone Etc but some Scholars said that you know for loved ones I'm saying I'm leaning to that in this day and age of Facebook and Tik Tok and things like that sometimes people people post things for the likes not necessarily to show shuk to Allah of course we can't see in the hearts of people right we can't and so we leave it with Allah but the point I'm trying to make is that you can like someone mentioned you can invite Hass as well you can invite Envy you know someone who you've got an issue with and they look at you and they you know they see you with your with your children and you're smiling and you're you're posting lots of you know pictures of food and you know you're you know of course you might be going through stress in life but you're showing this as as kind of outlayer to people people can take it in wrong way and Naz is true you know Hass is true there's no doubt about it so just be cautious that's all I'd say be cautious about how often you do things like that and another question very quickly so basically the Surah is sorry and that's not question one second so brother sad mentions how can we look after orphans the usual the usual 30 per month subscription by charity seems bit like shortcut yeah yeah it's very good question actually so was actually going to write something on this because was doing some research on it from perspective very quickly orphan sponsorship in traditional way for Charities is not the full cfala we sayal which is basically looking after an orphan in the traditional sense that means that you bring them into your house you look after them they be you know you spend from your their money you spend from your money that is the traditional and that's the best form and this is the the one when the wasallam and like this when he put his two fingers together so this is that traditional way however of course in the UK you don't have the ability to to actually do that there's not orans around like if you came to Egypt or Yemen there's many you can support So giving any money is something good and Allah will reward you there's no doubt about it but yeah mean if you know people like one thing would say if you know anyone who's an orphan even even in your amongst your people that you know in your family members or in in the UK just be extra nice to them you know just be extra nice to them for the fact that Allah subhana says he has so many ayat about showing goodness to the orphan so whatever you can do even if it's just paying something nice smiling at them giving them an extra few minutes to talk to them this is General anyone who you feel is separate from society or is looked down on society give them time theol did that with many of the sahab zah and many he looked after them people they were ostracized and he would look after them he would speak to them he joke with them this is from his Mas think we'll keep it there want to make sure we're on time everyone can can do what they need to do everybody and may Allah accept it from us may it be form of Mercy For Us in that we are learning the the book of Allah subhana tala and may we do it sincerely for his sake and may it be form of goodness on our scales inshallah on the day of judgment everyone we'll speak to you soonam alayum
