HOW to SMOOTHLY Felt a Therian Cat Mask With NO WRINKLES MASK GIVEAWAY Step by Step Tutorial

النص الكامل للفيديو

hello everyone if you do not know me already I'm finck and I've had lot of people request step by step tutoral on how to fill out mask so here we are so you need your cat mask obviously some scissors hot glue hot glue gun and of course you'll also need some felt make sure your felt is kind of stretchy like this and not stiff or anything like that cuz I've seen some people use that and it's not going that's how you get lots of wrinkles if your felt is stiff it's going to wrinkle lot and fold and crease and that's not what we want so make sure your felt is like soft and stretchy and all that okay so to start off you're going to find the right side all people don't realize this but felt does have sides there is side that is fuzzier and side that doesn't have as much fuzz and you are going to hot glue it fuzz down because when you paint on the fuzz the paint will rub off easier cuz of the fuzz so it's better to have it fuzz facing down like so it's fine if you don't do that sometimes forget to even check the side and accidentally use the fuzzy side it's not the end of the world or anything so you know yes just little tip so already have my hot glue gun preheated here and okay so obviously make sure your felt is big enough to fit your mask what like to do before felting is just like pressing the felt down to get an so like it gives you kind of confidence that you're going to do it right that's what did my first time felting just basically pressed it down as if there were hot glue there and then realized this isn't so bad think can do this so to help you get good idea of it you can just kind of mess around with the felt making sure it fits well over the mask and all that and as you can see here my eyes are bigger cut these out cuz it's the mask base want this isn't going to affect the tutorial at all the eyes are probably the simplest part it it's the same for any kind of eye shape pretty much so yeah see lot of people start from the ears to the bottom and if that's what you do and it works fine that's great but find it it's easier for me to start from the lip here and then go up that way can avoid getting that crease on the bottom lip so if you want you can just go ahead and practice smoothing it out just like this so I'm going to go ahead and find my fuzzy side okay now it's face down make sure it's placed over properly so there's lots of space so I'm going to go ahead and apply hot glue around the nose and lip here just around here you can do little by little if you're not too confident in it that's what find kind of helps for me this is the right side NOP wrong side oops that was almost bad or not really honestly not that big of deal okay so just go ahead and press it down and smooth it out around the shape this is how you get rid of wrinkles push all the air out just like this and now we're going to do the has my mouse over here just like that have piece of paper under my hot glue gun to catch any leaking hot glue so if you're working on like desk or something and you don't want to deal with hot glue mess everywhere just put piece of paper or cardboard or whatever under it now the other side now once again remember to really press into like the crease and shape of the Mask this is to both push out air to avoid wrinkles and also get rid of any lumps cuz if the hot glue isn't flattened out it'll like Harden like ball shape kind of how it is right here on the paper so it'll be like that under the mask I've had that happen if few times it's not big deal if it does happen if you're like me and stress over small little details that aren't even noticeable on camera it would be better to just try to push out any lumps see kind of got one here can feel it don't you bet you can't even see it it's fine though okay know some people might be annoyed by me doing like such small sections cuz see some people like pretty much hot glue the entire like entire sections at once I'm not that confident in my hot gluing skills so don't do that but actually find it helps to make sure everything stays consistent now we're going to go around the nose here around the cheek as work my way up go in bigger sections as get more confident fear have lot is the hot glue drying too fast cuz used to have really bad hot glue gun that would dry within seconds so you want to make sure your hot glue gun is high quality so you actually have time see there's another lump here it's okay though so you actually have so you actually have time to make sure everything is correct and you don't have to rush yourself now I'm going to go around the side here we going on easy I'm going to say this lot but remember to smooth it out just like this just press down and smooth it out trace your trace the creases with your finger you know also apologize if my voice sounds bad have cough right now if that's why lot of the videos probably going be cut cuz it's me coughing or stuttering and having to resay what was saying smooth smooth also be please be careful not to burn yourself like gluing the edges usually do didn't put it on the paper it's okay once again I'm just gluing it along the edges there's no specific like I'm just kind of gluing randomly as go don't glue the same every time so don't worry if you're like looking at every single like if you're looking at every single like little detail on how glue it doesn't matter just go along with what feels right what feel would be next I'm really really making sure to get the shape of the ear and all those creases did not glue that area down that's one see not even noticeable actually so yeah you don't need to stress about little details too much and you can always pull the felt off if you accidentally mess up and make wrinkle I've fully felted masks before painted them add an eye mesh everything and then didn't like it in the end so just pulled the felt off and reused The Mask base actually have the mask base here as you can see it looks like it's seen some stuff but it's fine in the end it's still like it's okay wait do you want to see still have the felt that pulled off this is what it looks like this is foam here on on and on the ears so it's obviously still stiff there but like but like it's this is what it looks like this was on this so yeah if you make mistakes it's fine so as you can see we got it all nice and smooth and felted I'm happy with this so now I'm going to start folding it in so usually start by snipping this on the top basically kind of the way don't you do it in specific order it's just every little curve or corner do that so you like you know here here here here here you get the idea and remember when cutting the edge when cutting off pieces for this remember not cut to cut all the way to the edge here or else when you fold it in you're going to you're going to be able to see the mask it's going to be too far I'll show you an example but you can kind of see the crease here cuz like cut it too far it's fine but you know once again if you're like me who stresses about all the little details no one even sees on camera yeah so make sure not to cut all the way to the actual mask leave as you can see left some space there didn't cut all the way to the mask can you cutting this okay simply throw some glue on this or on the mask either or press down easy as that you can make this area as messy as you want it really doesn't matter you don't have to worry about this part being pretty or anything it's just this fold in going to cut it here because this is lot of excess very messily cut see don't have I'm not that neat when making masks have my own little tactics that make sense in my head you might not do it the same as me and that's fine if it works for you it works that's what really matters everyone has their own little techniques they learn and this just happens to be mine so if you make masks you're like don't do it like that that's fine that doesn't mean it's necessarily wrong make sure it doesn't it's not visible obviously make sure you pull it in tight so it's not going to be loose don't touch the hot glue directly you think wouldn't need to state that but then people like me exist don't realize until it's too late but you know again don't cut all the way to the mask make sure you leave some space yeah if you apply the on this part if you apply the hot glue to the actual felt instead of the instead of the Mask you're way less likely to burn yourself and it's going to be more precise at least that's what I've noticed myself that's what works for me I'm getting impatient so I'm doing multiple sections at once now and that just resulted in me getting burnt okay don't be like me okay we have everything nice and tucked in now for the eyes so might not have the best tactic for the eyes think my scissor and maybe my scissors are just dle or something cuz what literally do is poke it in like this I'll make sure you can see this and just kind of go like this until it eventually makes hole there we go and then once again don't cut all the way to the actual mask leave space leave space like this see didn't cut all the way to the actual mask left bit of space do the same for the other side cutting to the corners of the eyes not all the way to it but just in that General Direction with the normal eye shape you can just kind of Tuck these in and hot glue them but think since these are bigger I'm just going to cut this into two put hot glue on it like usual nothing special push in this is the part where usually burn my fingers lot so please make sure not to touch the actual hot glue on this part use my nails lot to push it into just touch it anyways it's fine my fingers are used to getting Burn by hot glue but if yours are not avoid getting bur avoid getting burnand in general please yeah don't be as risky as am with pushing this in just use the scissors to smooth this out what I'm trying to say is I'm bad influence basically so there's one done noticed this part kind of loose so I'm just going to hot glue this in real quick just like that ignore all the orange paint here this was from me testing out eyes on it when the paint wasn't even dry on the mesh yet because I'm impatient if you haven't noticed I'm kind of impatient which is why shove my hands into hot glue instead of just being gentle with it yeah please be patient and not like me and not near my finger this is not near my finger just use this to crease it and then go like this you just kind of pinch it bit so you get that shape and then at it kind of sometimes just stab it and boom the mask is mask is now finished and fully felted here's what the eyes will be it's going to be black cat mask that is actually going to be giv away I'm hosting Halloween art contest
