النص الكامل للفيديو

for the grade five today insha'Allah we going to learn lesson five which is about life in the desert in this lesson we're going to identify facts of the Nabataean people from 2000 years ago we're going to understand how their location and desert climate affected their lives so go there so we're going to learn about Nabatean people what are the vocabulary that you're going to learn desert Nomad Wadi shaman shaman it's an Arabic word which means in English north in sense sandstorms server live tax Nabateans frankincense see I'm lesson so brainstorming write your definition of desert what do you think what's the meaning of desert your here is desert what do you think how we can define desert let's try it let me change this three in color so the desert is it is land full trial and it spit it it's try land full of sand so sit dry land full of sand let me change it to black the font in because want to be clear for you it's trial and follow-up set what are the name of some deserts in the world one of them is the Empty Quarter don't know if you learn about this or know in other classes because we're learning about this in grade 1 grade 2 empty quarter it's desert that's located in the Arabian Peninsula now it's OD Arabia near the UAE what can you find them look at the mat below to help which color do you think resembles the desert is the green no it's for Praetorian places full of plants and green areas what about orange and brown nice color brownish places this is the desert so if you want to see desert on map everything that is with colored with orange or brown is desert there is the Arabian Peninsula sea and here is North Africa so deserts what words come to your mind when you think of desert hot dry dangerous which animals do you think of for me camels do you think of scorpions and snakes some of the older civilizations have lived successfully in desert regions around the world people who have lived in the desert of the Arabian world for thousands of years how did they manage this nowadays people can live in the desert normally because everything is developed they can he was like cars they can build our skyscrapers it's funny there are no problems no issues but what about people in the past they said people lived in the desert for thousands of years ago let's see in the Arabian Peninsula in summer summer temperatures can bring each of 55 siliceous too much rainfall skiers with desert average of 10 centimeters per year or less sometimes rain causes floods as the way is fill up very quickly causing danger to anyone in their path windy seasons during the year to bring strong winds called shamans think it's called chyme as we said it's an Arabic word which means north think the wind is called chanelle's because it came from or it's blow from north these can cause Stan sandstorms hear about this paragraph you have question but are some of the dangerous of the desert list 5 so what do you think of sandstorms we didn't have lot of rainfall this is something dangerous what do you think of flood what do you think of the strong wind but also what do you think of the dangerous animals like scorpions snakes sometimes wolves at night especially so flood sandstorms hot weather dangerous animals brain scarcity tribe of nomads called the Nabataean of nomads those are people who are not settled it means that that they don't have like place to live in they are only like living in tent they will move from one place to another according to the environment around them so if there is flood normally easily they're going to remove the tent and go to another place what was their name Nabataean they lived 2,000 years ago in the desert in the modern day country of Jordan they travelled around the area between the Euphrates River and they would see the their troubles gave them detailed knowledge of the land groundwater was an important source of water the Nabataeans knew where to find water in the desert they also knew where to find sources of food like the it's bone all of this can help people survive but how did the Nabataeans become so successful that they left behind the city of bedrock they are the people who built the bedrock what do you think how were they so developed people so and they have lot of things that they only lived in desert the text states that the Nabateans were nomads right your definition of nomads why do you think the Normand lifestyle and successful in desert right your definition of nomads we can say that there are people who are not settled they only moved from one place to another according to the environment around them what do you think why they were successful in the desert why do you remember when we said that life in the desert or climate in the desert is unpredictable you cannot say that tomorrow there is no but tomorrow there is no sandstones suddenly the strong wind is going to blow and we're going to have sandstorms so the weather in the desert is unpredictable so for nomads people it's easy for them it can survive in desert because they they are not settled didn't feel afraid of their homes of their places because they are not settled so they can move easily so don't words are people who are not settled in one place but traveling from one place to another to find fresh patcher pasture for their livestock okay for the lemma stick because the desert why do you think the normal life is so successful in the desert we said because this earth life is unpredictable so nomads survived there as they are used to move from one place to another without feeling afraid about their places or their houses well watch this video about Arabian Peninsula and it contains also some information about the Nabataeans let's watch together when many other think of the Arabian Peninsula we automatically think of Jay wish it's clear after all the Arabian Peninsula is home to the Arabian desert one of the largest and driest deserts in the world similar to the Sahara which is just to the west of the peninsula if in our imaginations we can see anyone at all it is roving nomads riding camel hurting other camels across the desert however that's not entirely true Arabia is peninsula of surprising diversity yes there is gigantic desert and it does take up great deal of land however scattered around the sides of the desert our environments that have been home to humanity for ages and have provided for some truly unique cultures when the ancient Romans talked about Arabia they meant region of the peninsula stretching from modern-day Jordan south including an area along the Red Sea that we call the Hejaz the Hejaz itself is quite unique in comparison to the rest of Arabia and that it is relatively well suited for farming this means that people were able to settle down into cities and then begin trading the most important of these ancient trading cultures was the Nabataeans group that lived at the same time as the Romans while we don't know too much about this culture we do know that the Nabataeans grew incredibly rich from trade as they had merchants who could travel all over the arabian peninsula and bring back new and exciting goods these rich merchants like to show off their wealth but at the same time wanted protection as result they built number of cities carved from solid stone so this is the petrel that's me number and people built it the most famous of these Petra has architecture that rivals that of Greece or Rome and just from looking at it you get sense of the wealth required to build these structures of the places that the Nabataean merchants were likely to go the most famous to the Romans was place they called Arabia Felix or lucky Arabia so today we refer to it as Yemen we saw how the Nabataean people they change from nomads people they were living like they were living like normal life without settling in run place how they change to very developed people through farming forest farming then they started to train frustrating they had lot of money and they had lot of communication with other cultures so they started to be developed inshallah we're going to complete learning and knowing about Nabataeans and how they traded with other cultures see you in shell Linux class wish you all the best
