How to Make Desktop Shortcuts Windows 11 Tutorial Tips Free Super Easy

foreign hello this is Nick with Nick's computer fix and here's video on how to make desktop shortcuts within Windows 11. free and super easy all right before we get started be sure to click on that subscribe button if you would like to support my channel it would be greatly appreciated all right let's go ahead and left click on the Windows 11 start menu and we can go up here just like everybody else try to drag and drop onto my desktop these pinned apps and it didn't work so what you have to do is click on all apps and this will allow you to scroll through all the apps that are installed on your computer until we find one that we want to make shortcut on our desktop with for instance calculator and if left click on that app it just opens up the calculator app for me and and that's not making shortcut on my desktop so let's go back into the start menu here click on all apps again and could pick on calculator again maybe there's something wrong there let me try calendar and can right click on calendar but there's no option to send shortcut or create shortcut on my windows 11 desktop now can right click and select pin to taskbar and that certainly will put that App right on my taskbar but if kept doing that to all the apps that want quick access to my taskbar would get full and very busy very fast so the best way to go about doing this and the only way that is the easiest is to select the app left click hold the mouse button down and drag and drop it to the desktop and of course once you do that it puts shortcut link right on your windows 11 desktop for you and can do that with any app so I'll go back to all apps here and I'll scroll down and pick another one here how about camera left click drag and drop there we go have another shortcut right on my desktop within Windows 11 again it's really that simple but it is not very intuitive as to how to go about doing that because you know there's no instructions or any you know tips or hints that pop up that tells you how to create shortcut now one other thing we can go ahead back into start menu again and click on all apps we can also make desktop shortcut within the sub menu or the folders within the start menu here under all apps let's see if can find an example here's one Windows tools and within Windows tools there are other apps that are able to be left click dragged and dropped onto my Windows desktop in this case just went ahead and chose control panel and made desktop shortcut within windows 11. for it and as you can see there's many things you can do with control panel something like to have easy access to and that makes it very convenient to be shortcut on my windows 11 desktop okay that's about it hope you got something out of this tutorial thanks for watching subscribe if you like and leave like if you like foreign
