How to Quickly Rake locks open

okay raking locks open this is the sexy stuff because it is just quick and everybody wants to just fire lock open as quickly as they can it looks impressive it's fun and hey that is what we are here to do is pick locks open so why not do it quickly instead of slow now there is place for single pin picking because as you get into more advanced and high security locks you do have to learn how to single pin pick but for low security stuff rake them open that is the way to go so technique on raking I'm right-handed so hold the lock in my left and put it pretty deep into the hand index finger over and very light tension lighter than when single pin pick tend to do one strike to get it open and then I'd go back and reset so go to the back of the lock give it rip go to the back of the lock give it rip that is my technique to get them open the other technique that you'll often see is that people will end up doing almost like sawing action just go easy on this don't really try and saw it open but back and forth back and forth and they are just working the pins inside the lock just trying to get that same motion and you're really just skipping that rake along the bottom of the pins trying to get those top pins to jump above that sheer line as you're doing it and time it that you just have the lightest amount of tension on there and again that tension is key to just put the right amount on there and get that lock open and that is Ragan by sparrows
