after many years of being treated badly Prophet Muhammad and his followers went to Medina looking for peace but they didn't find it easily the quray tribe from Mecca feeling threatened by Islam's growing influence were ready to attack the small and weak Muslim Community in the year 624 Prophet Muhammad and his small group of 313 followers had to face more than 1,000 welle equipped Warriors from The KES tribe at the Battle of bad Prelude to the battle the battle of bad was the result of growing tension between the Muslims and the ques of Mecca after Prophet Muhammad and his followers migrated to Medina the quray continued to oppose them they wanted to stop Islam from spreading and plan to strike the Muslim Community in early 624 Prophet Muhammad learned about Kur Caravan returning from Syria this Caravan led by Abu sufyan carried good goods worth large Fortune the Caravan was lightly guarded so Prophet Muhammad decided to intercept it as way to recover the wealth the qures had taken from the Muslims he gathered about 313 followers including young boys and the elderly and began moving toward the caravan's route Abu sufyan realizing the muslim's plan sent messenger to mecca for help this messenger damdam bin Amar arrived at meca dramatically he cut his camels nose turned the saddle upside down and cried out loudly warning the qur about the danger hearing this the qures quickly gathered an army of over 1,000 Warriors led by Abu Jael to protect their wealth and confront the Muslims meanwhile Abu sufyan cleverly re-rooted his Caravan along the Red Sea avoiding the Muslim Army although the Caravan was safe the quray decided to March forward and fight the Muslims at bad both armies moved closer to the battlefield the Muslims though smaller in number and poorly equipped relied on their faith and unity while The KES were confident in their large and strong Army this set the stage for the historic Battle of badder the armies the Muslim Army was small and had limited resources Prophet Muhammad LED this Army of about 33 men they included people from both the muhajirun those who migrated from Mecca to Medina and the ansar the helpers from Medina this Army was not well equipped for big battle they only had two horses and about 70 camels which meant many of them had to walk or take turns riding the camels despite their small size and lack of weapons the Muslims were United by their strong faith in Allah and their belief in the leadership of prophet Muhammad on the other side the quray Army was much larger and better equipped they brought over 1,000 Warriors including many experienced Fighters they had around 100 horses and large number of camels making their Army stronger and more mobile the quray also brought enough food and supplies to last for long time many of their leaders like Abu jahal and umaya IB khalaf joined the battle to protect their wealth and avenge previous losses the two armies were very different in size and strength the Muslims were outnumbered and had fewer weapons but they had strong belief in their cause the qures on the other hand were confident because of their large army and Superior Equipment this difference set the stage for the Battle of bad fight that would change the course of history the battle the battle of bad took place on the 17th of Ramadan in the year 624 the Muslim Army led by Prophet Muhammad was small with just 313 men while the quray Army had over 1,000 Warriors the quray were confident because they had better weapons horses and supplies but the Muslims were United by their faith and determination the battle began with duels between fighters from both sides notable companions like Ali Hamza and uida fought bravely and defeated the qures Warriors in these one-on-one fights after the duel the qur launched full attack on on the Muslims the prophet raised his hands in prayer asking Allah for help Muslims believe that Allah sent angels to support them during the battle as mentioned in the Quran the Muslims held their ground and launched Counterattack their courage and Faith helped them break the quray lines causing the enemy to flee many key quray leaders including Abu jahal were killed during the battle Against All Odds the Muslims achieved great Victory the Battle of bad became turning point in Islamic history showing that faith and unity could overcome even the strongest of enemies aftermath the Battle of bad ended with great victory for the Muslims even though they were outnumbered and had fewer weapons about 70 Warriors from the qures were killed in the battle including their key leaders like Abu jahal and umaya IBN kalaf another 70 were taken as prisoners of war the Muslims on the other hand lost only 14 men this Victory gave the Muslims sense of confidence and hope strengthening their small but growing Community the treatment of the prisoners showed the kind and merciful nature of prophet Muhammad he instructed the Muslims to treat them well some prisoners were freed after their families paid ransom While others were released on the condition that they teach Muslims how to read and write this fair treatment surprised many prisoners and left positive impression with some even even converting to Islam later the victory at bad boosted prophet Muhammad's position in Medina and made the Muslim Community stronger more tribes in Arabia began to take Islam seriously and even formed alliances with the Muslims however The KES were deeply humiliated by their defeat they started planning for Revenge which would lead to Future battles the
