hello there today we're going to talk about symmetrical shapes we'll start with this shape one of my favorites the circle if we fold it in half what do you notice this half and this half are the same that's because circles are symmetrical let's think of some other symmetrical shapes like squares triangles and even this star we fold these shapes across line and we call this line of symmetry for example in this rectangle we have how many lines of symmetry let's take look onefold two folds and nope that doesn't look symmetrical so this rectangle only has two lines of symmetry how about this Square how many lines of symmetry can you find remember you can fold on the diagonal that's right four lines of symmetry as you can see here how about this trapezoid how many lines of symmetry does it have yes just one and how about this rhombus very good let's try one more how about this circle there are an infinite number of lines of symmetry in circle pretty cool think you've got got the hang of it great job
