hi this is Aaliyah and welcome back to cooking with Aliyah the show that brings to you the flavors of moraca today my friend is here and he's my special guest he's going to present himself and tell us what he's going to cook for us today hey my name is mmed I'm here today to cook for you my mom's recipe called CH which is Moroccan appetizer which means literally fava beans with Moroccan spices it will be super easy and delicious so it promise it's easy yes we're going to see that because we all want an easy recipe so let's start we will need 2 lounds of fresh fa beans with the skin one tomato 1/3 of cup of finy chopped cilantro 1/3 of cup of olive oil you will also need three garlic cloves crushed and for the spices we have half teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon of paprika and 1 teaspoon of cumin so mmed what is the first step in this recipe so first you have to peel the fava beans and this will be the most work of the full recipe so that's it after that's easy yeah after that it's going all alone okay so let's start how do you do that so first you remove the tip right and then you split it in two and you remove all the Fab beins and that's it cool if you find big Fab Bean slice it little on the head so that it can absorb the spices while cooking like that mamad we peeled one pound of fava beans and that's all we got yeah exactly after peeling the fava beans you usually get one3 of the initial weight you mean 1/3 - 1 now we're going to cook the fa beans on medium heat pour the olive oil into the pan now add the qu of cup of water keep mixing the water and the oil until you see them bubbling as you can see now the oil is ready now we add the fa beans into the pan you mix it little bit and then you continue adding the other ingredient so first you pour the garlic on then you add the cilantro and finally you pour all the spices mix continuously until it becomes homogeneous then you have to add enough water until the fa beans are completely covered cover your pan and let the fa beans cook on medium Heat after 50 minutes of cooking as you can see the water is reduced cut the tomato in half and Grate it discard the skin now you can add the grated tomato to give it little bit more taste mix everything well let the fa beans cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes and covered you can serve it with the Moroccan or French bread Bon yeah
