Hello everyone. Today we're learning reported speech, also called indirect speech. Reported speech is used to tell someone what another person said without repeating the exact words. When we report sentence, the tense usually moves one step back. Present simple becomes past simple. Example, she said like English. She said that she liked English. Present continuous becomes past continuous. Example, he said am studying. He said that he was studying. Will becomes would. Example, they said we will come. They said that they would come. We also change time words. Today becomes that day. Tomorrow becomes the next day and yesterday becomes the day before. Remember, change the tense, change the time words if needed, and remove the quotation marks. Practice reported speech every day and it will become easy.
