hello boys and girls and how are you yes welcome to social studies with miss bo yes today for our social studies lesson we're looking at something that is very very important but before we get started there are some words that we need to know so are you ready do you have your book your pencils and everything you would need great then we can get going today for social studies can you remember what we looked at before boys and girls of grade one yes we looked at the family and what is family it is group of people yes and they are related by blood marriage or adoption that is correct so today we are looking at family relationships teacher miss bo family relationship what is that know what the little boys and girls are thinking but no no no it's not that family okay miss boba family can be in relationships no little boys and girls it's not that let's go so the family is the group of people and relationship that's really really big word but do you know what it means can't hear you what is the meaning of relationship yes it is connection what is it it's connection yes the same way the magnet will connect that's the same way relationship is it's connection between two or more things how many yes two are more so the boys and girls know that family is group of people and then they also know that relationship is connection it's like two magnets connected so you must have two or more great so family relationship it is connection with family members what is it yes great job it is connection with family members so little sue is living with lady lady is living with her or we can say woman man is living with her and two little girls and little boy and they are living together they are family exactly great job so i'm wondering did not see if it's sue mommy or sue's daddy but i'm yes when we put the woman and the man together who are there to us i'm wondering so let's get right into it so the woman in most cases the woman that lives by you that big woman she can either be your who is she to you yes she can be your grandmother that woman that is living by you she can be your mother that big woman who is living by you she can also be your aunt or big female cousin so you're going to get your books ready because right after this you would have to do an activity great so that's all about the woman who's living with you what about the man that is living with you that man can be your yes it can be your grandfather he can be your yes he can be your father he can also be your uncle that is true that man can be your uncle or he can be big male cousin so we we spoke about the little boy he is my brother yes so we are all related so when we put the daughters and sons together wonder what will we get who are the daughters and son to mom and dad they are the the word starts with the letter yes so when we put the daughters and the sons or the daughter and son together they would be called the children yes that is correct so you see we can be related to all these persons that are living with us and they are our family members so let's go over them and remember the activity is coming right at the end so you're going to put the word woman and you're going to look around in your house and you're going to look at all the women that are living there and you're going to write their names and you're going to put what or who are they to you yes so if the woman if there are three women living there one is your grandmother one is your aunt one is your mom you're going to write their names right next to the word woman and you're going to state what are they to you and then when we're finished with woman we are going to move to the men that are living with you then we are going to move to the boys and the girls so remember family is group of people and when
