hello and welcome to the calculator guide video on solving quadratic equation using the polinomial solver we're going to use the polinomial solver on the Casio classwiz in this video in order to solve three quadratic equations the first equation is x^2 + 11 + 18 = 0 to access the polinomial solver we need to press menu and then navigate down to option equational function press equals and we see that the polinomial solver is option two the class Wiz can solve polinomial up to degree of four so that's to the^ of 4 but in this instance we want quadratic equation that's ^ 2 so I'm going to select two here we have the option to input our coefficients for the terms so because we've just got One I'm just going to input one and then we've got 11 and then 18 on the end press equals and then equals again and here we have our first solution = - 2 and if press equals again then get the second solution which is = - 9 so there's the two solutions so the quadratic equation is solved now the next two results will be the minimum point on the graph of the quadratic equation which could be very useful so the minimum Point has an value of -1 / 2 as decimal that's - 5.5 and there's value of -49 over4 which as decimal is -2.25 this also helps you to set up the completed Square version of the quadratic equation so the value of of - 11 /2 is what makes the bracket equal to zero when you add 11 / 2 so it's + 11 / 2^ 2 and then subtract the value so - 49 over 4 so we can set up the completed Square version equal to zero okay I'm just going to press AC to go back to the original screen where you input your coefficients this time we're going to have look at another quadratic equation 5 x^2 + 13x - 6 so 5 is my X2 coefficient and -6 equals and equals to get the solutions so = 25ths or = - 3 -3 and if press equals then we can find the minimum point on the graph as well coordinate -3 / 10 - 1.3 and coordinate of - 289 / 20 that's - 14.45 let's try one more quadratic equation this time with negative X2 coefficient press AC to go back to the input screen and this time we're going to solve - x^2 - 4x + 4 input -1 as your X2 coefficient -4 as my coefficient and then plus 4 so just normal four as my number part press equals so the solution has an integer and third part so we've got minus 2 + 2 < tk2 and then the other solution is -2 - 2 < tk2 and if we press equals this time we have the maximum point or the coordinates of the maximum point of the quadratic equation remember that ax^2 will give you maximum rather than minimum point so we've got an coordinate of -2 and coordinate of 8 so there we go how to use the polinomial solver on the Casio classwiz in order to solve quadratic equation but also to find the minimum or maximum Point essentially the turning point of the quadratic graph but that's it for this video thank you very much for watching watching I'll see you next time on the calculator guide
