the letter 'laam' can be pronounced thick and heavyor light andthin depending on the case. The only time the letter ‘laam’ is thick and heavy is in the name of Allah swtif the name of Allah is preceded by fatha or dammah For example in this verse of the Holy Quran we see that the letter before the name of Allah swt has dammah. Therefore it will be read heavy and read as Rassoolullah. And also here the letter before the Name of Allah swt has fatha therefore we will read it heavy and its read as Naaqatallah91:13, Caution……. If the letter preceding the name 'Allah' ﷲ is thin one, be careful not to pronounce it thick as this can easily be done due to the letter laam being pronounced thick For example 2:7 The letter meemshould be pronounced thin even though the laam is being pronounced thick. So it should read khatama Allah and not Khatamullah If the letter before the name Allah has kasra then the laam on the name of Allah swt will be pronounced in thin sound. For example, this word has kasra before the name of Allah swt, therefore it will read bismillah and not bismillaah Or another example we see kasra before the name of Allah swt so it will read deenilah and not dinilllah1:1 110:2, 2:5 All other words with laam are pronounced with thin sound also 109:6
