because we know that this is race. So, we have to endure. And think enduring is walking in wisdom. When you dwell in him and you're consistent with the Lord, consistent with reading your Bible, and you're abiding, like the Bible says, the branch and those who abide in me will produce much fruit. If you abide in him, you know what's really interesting? Cuz you did say that the fruit of the spirits are similar, but they're different. So, when you think about kindness, you think about goodness, you almost feel like they're the same thing, right? Like goodness and kindness that you have to be good, but actually they're not the same thing. The Holy Spirit will lead us to all truth. The Bible says, always say this because it's so good. Like, and all truth, meaning all truth. So, it's going to teach us how to live our lives, how to treat people. Everything that the fruits is producing is contrary to what the world says. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Joy is anchored in God's promises. Welcome back, guys, to another amazing episode of Heavenly Bonds, where today we're going to be talking about don't know cuz Karan says she's leading the podcast today. am not leading the party. She said that I'm not going to be able to talk and stuff like that. don't know what that meant. But yeah, I'm going to say the truth cuz the truth shall set you free. All right. am not leading the podcast. The Holy Spirit is number one. yeah. Number two, you just made me look horrible. That's not my fault. thank you guys so much for clicking on this video. As you guys saw in the title, today we're talking about the fruit of the spirit. And really am praying that this is edifying and you get wisdom from it. feel like we all know the fruit of the spirit. And sometimes we also ask questions and we find ourselves in positions and places where we're like am not really showing the fruit of the spirit. You know what mean? feel like always call you. I'm like yeah you're not showing the fruit of the spirit. What? Yeah. Because you have to call out your brother or sister in Christ. You know you got to let them know like hey you know that's not really that's fleshy. That's not very giving. You're not brother, you're an acquaintance. You're not sister, you're an acquaintance. All right. so yeah, guys, thank you so much for watching. Also, 50 for Christ is officially done. So proud of you guys. Like, think the biggest takeaway for me is how much of your spirit have to be manifested when you like because you have to kill your flesh every single day. every single day you have to choose, you know, you have to choose to deny yourself, you have to choose to do the things of God. And even though you like me for example, like I've been walking with the Lord for many years. Like it is crazy cuz it depends on the season of life that you're in, every single season is different. And you will find yourself struggling with something in your walk with Christ. Like you're never going to be perfect. And think that's also the highlight of this video. like you're not going to be showing the fruit of the spirit perfectly to the tea. Like you're not going to be manifesting all nine every single day to perfection. That is not real. That is not true. So with the challenge, feel like that was the case. And it did prove to me how good it feels to walk with the Lord every single day, to choose God every single day. think that's one of my lacks like it was just the consistency with the Lord because there was times where was like not able to open my Bible. was able to. just didn't choose. That's the thing like you have you having to choose God exactly every single day. So like he started to become not priority. obviously like prayed and stuff like that but it was never intentional. You know what mean? And so was just like all right need to chill. You know it's like we all go through that type of season where it's like that happens and then it ripples effects to like God so far away and now I'm doing things that you know used to do and now I'm not like as consistent as needed to be with the Lord. But it's like it's usually us that's up. from God. He's never gone. Yeah. So, it's like, yeah, literally got to take accountability in that. before we get into it, actually, let's get into it cuz this goes with the with the title of the video. Pasta. first of all, why am leading this? Why does it feel like I'm leading this? Why does it feel like I'm Cuz literally just said that. Yeah, cuz you asked me to. don't want don't want to lead it. Okay, so I'll start talking. Well, guys, today we're going to be talking about the fruits of the spirits. Now, if you guys don't know what the fruits of the spirit are, it is the fruits that the Holy Spirit gives us. Now, this is not something that you can work your way into. Let's just start there. You know, you can't build these things out. This is not character trait. These are fruits of the spirit. Meaning, it comes from the Holy Spirit, not yourself. So, like you said, we're not going to be perfect in all these areas, but yet we have access to tap into these areas. We have access to tap into self-control. actually got to know off the top of my head. gentleness, faithfulness, kindness, goodness, love, goodness, self-control, patience. There's another one. Faithfulness. think said, gentleness. think said that. gentleness. Joy. Joy. There's another one. Love. No, said that already. Love. Joy. Peace. Peace. That was the one. Peace. So it's like all of these we have access to. We just have to tap into it in the matter of the situation that we're in. And most of these things we will know we're able to tap into them when we're in situation. the conviction of the Holy Spirit will fall upon you when you are when you have the Holy Spirit. You are no longer the same. Greater is he that's in me than he does in the world. Meaning the spirit of God is dwelling in me. The Bible says you become one. You become coers with Christ. Like when you when you have the Holy Spirit, it's like such an uncction to do different. And so you're able to actually practice these things out through the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Anytime you feel like, for example, my amazing sister here sometimes gets me on my nerve. You know what I'm saying? I'm just being honest. she used be yapping little too much and like want to want to, you know what I'm saying? Go back and forth. But it's like self control, chill. You know, you don't need to do all that. But it's like if old me would have just snapped. Yeah. But the Holy Spirit just compels you to submit to the fruits of the spirit. but again, it's choice at the end of the day. Yeah, it is choice and believe that is also walking in wisdom because find myself many times when I'm in situation that am not showing the fruit of the spirit or something triggers me, something makes me upset and the first thing want to do is not be patient and not have self-control. And in that moment, want to say things and I've shared this multiple times before in the podcast, how if I'm like in in an argument or something is being said that doesn't please me. You know, the first thing instead of me like saying and responding back with the anger or upsetness that feel, talk to the Holy Spirit and as the Holy Spirit like tame my tongue, need to be have self-control right now. And the Holy Spirit ministers to me. Yeah. And believe that's that's walking in wisdom. In Colossians verse 9, it says that we ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. We have spiritual wisdom and understanding. And that action of being like, okay, am I'm able to identify that am not walking in the spirit. Yeah. am not showing the fruit of the spirit. So I'm going to access the one that does. Amen. I'm going to walk in wisdom and understanding and I'm going to ask that the Holy Spirit helps me because in the moment, like said before, like you're not going to feel or not portray the fruits. And there's going to be moments that you do. Exactly. There's going to be moments, supernatural moments where you're in situation that before it would trigger you. Before it would get you upset, but now you have peace, right? And you have kindness and you have lot of joy. Yes. And that is evidence that the Holy Spirit lives in you, right? but if you guys don't know about the fruit of the spirit, that is found in Galatians 5 verse 22. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives. Amen. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things. Wow. find this to be so interesting in many different reasons because number one, that is evidence that the Holy Spirit lives in you. If you show this traits, if you allow the the Lord to work in your life, you're going to be producing fruit and the fruit is evidence that you're walking with the Holy Spirit. If you go to the book of John verse 15, are you gonna talk about that verse? Yeah, was actually about it. Yeah. Okay. So in the book of John verse 15 in verse 5 it says yes am the vine you are the branches those who remain in me and in them will produce much fruit for apart from me you can do nothing and then if you read in verse 8 when you produce much fruit you are my true disciple this brings great glory to my father so pretty much God is saying that when you are abiding in him you are producing apart from God. And how how does that look like being apart from God? It's like you're not reading your word, you're not praying, you're not seeking God, you're not there is no self-control going to church, right? you're not abiding in him, you're not seeking him first, then you are pretty much detached from him. Yeah. And the evidence of the Holy Spirit is not is no longer there. Amen. No, 100%. cuz it's like there's nothing like when you read that verse the one prior it was really good. actually want to go back into it. Yeah, you go back. The Galatians. Yeah, the Galatians. It it literally says where the fruits of the spirits come from. So read it. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives. Exactly. The Holy Spirit produces these kind of fruits in our life, not people. You know, it's like the Holy Spirit is the one that produces these fruits and that's how we, you know, walk. It's like the Holy Spirit will lead us to all truth. The Bible says, always say this because it's so good. Like, and all truth meaning all truth. So, it's going to teach us how to live our lives, how to treat people. Everything that the fruits is producing is contrary to what the world says. If somebody disrespects you, get loud with them, you know, or do this to them back eye for an eye and all this crazy stuff. when you're supposed to have love, gentleness, kindness, and it's like everything's reversed with with God's kingdom, you know. So, it's like that's that's how you know it is something divine and it is something out of this world and is only with God that you can produce these fruits because it is in you. The Bible also says this, "Abide in me and and in you as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in me. am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and in him, he is that bears much fruit. From apart from me, you can't do nothing. So, it's like the only way we're actually going to produce these fruits. And some people be like, want to, you know, have gent kindness and like you have to abide in God. You have to abide in him because it's through him that you're going to bear much fruit and it's through him that you're going to be able to manifest these the fruits of the spirit. Yeah. You know what mean? And there are so many moments when am like in situation that makes me act out in my flesh. Yeah. And I'm like, wait, Lord, like what for the spirit do you want me to refine? What for the spirit do you want me to actually like like seek out for? Because God is going to put situations in your life that's going to call you to act in obedience to the fruit, right? Like if you're in situation that someone is not making you act very loving everything about them doesn't like is not making you love them right for real what is it that you're supposed to do in that moment not give them love eye for an eye pay them back no cuz you're child of God now you operate differently now you see things in an internal eternal viewpoint you don't see things anymore as like in the moment in the flesh you're not reactive you know like feel like The opposite of all these fruits are like love is hate. You know, self-control is like you're being impulsive. Like you are not acting from that position any longer because you're being freed literally through Christ. Exactly. So feel like in moments and situations when you're like dude like this is testing me right now. Like tell me about it am going to be, you know, everything in me right now wants to do the exact opposite, but it's again acting in wisdom and being like this is not going to represent God well. Yeah. Like have to tame my tongue. have to have to have patience instead of me like lashing out because have no patience. You know what mean? Yeah. That's one of the foods got to work on being honest is gentleness. When people don't have common sense for me like it's No, it honestly I'm working on it. you know, I'm getting better and I'm being common sense. Sometimes it's not that common. Exactly. So, it's like feel like there's certain things that you should know, but obviously like you not you don't you shouldn't know, but everybody's different. Everybody has, you know, different mindset. So, like for me, I'm like that's common sense. Like, why is it that like why ain't you just you know what I'm saying? And like don't act in gentleness and I'm like, bro, what you know what mean? Like why is it this? And I'm so quick to be like to say something because it just irritates me. I'm working on it. Yes. on being more loving. And want to want to go into all of the fruit of the spirit and want to be able to kind of break it down and actually like what does it mean to act in love? What does it mean to act like actually walk in joy? And want to start with gentleness because you said it. So the meaning of gentleness is strength under control, humble and mild spirit that submits to God. We see in the in the Bible also in Matthew 5:5, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." Galatians 6:1, "Restore such one in spirit of gentleness." Gentleness is not weakness, but godly restraint. Yeah. So, when you are in situation where you're like, "Dude, what what are you trying to say right now?" Yeah. It's truly godly restraint of you not like lashing out or saying something that doesn't is it's not edifying anyone. You know what I'm saying? So think that's really good. Like when was studying this, was like, "Wow, that's so good." Like it's godly restraint. You know, gentleness is not like as woman, for example, we're supposed to be gentle in spirit, right? And lot of the time what the society is telling us to do is to act like the man, to hustle and be go-getter and do all these things, but not everything is beneficial for us, right? So, there's godly restraint of like, okay, Lord, this is what want, but like what do you want from me? And think walking in that godly restraint is going to save us so much time because sometimes we are doing things that are not meant for us. Yeah. And because we're not operating from that spirit, we're just wasting time and causing harm that shouldn't have been the case in the first place. You know what mean? Amen. No, that's good. agree. Okay. So, want to go up to love. If you guys are taking notes, Yeah, of course am. If you guys are taking notes, want you guys to write this down because feel like going back to the verses and like actually studying the verses and like meditating on it. If you are right now watching this and you're like, man, have to, you know, ask the Holy Spirit to help me with my joy. Like, am not really content right now or need the Holy Spirit to help me with patience. really do encourage you to go in the word and in prayer and ask the Lord to really renew your mind with his word. so you can remember that whenever you're situation that you have to exude that fruit, right? Amen. and you're like everything in me wants to do the opposite, but God's word reminds us of what we should be doing. So, always number one, love, which in Greek in Greek is agape. Agape love. and agape love is unconditional, selfless, sacrificial love. So when you think about this like okay I'm supposed to exude selfless unconditional sacrificial love like Jesus exactly loves us and we read in 1 Corinthians 134-7 love is patient love is kind it always protects it always trusts trust it always hopes it always perseveres John 15:13 greater love has no man than this that man lay his life for his friend. So this love is not based on feelings. Yes. You know this love is choice. It's choice to care for others as God does. So whenever your situation when someone is or or something requires that love from you, remember that it is choice. It is choice. It is hard for you to do things and sacrifice your life for others. But man, we have an amazing example which is the Holy Spirit. Amen. feel like his love is like the Bible says like his love endures forever. You know, the Bible says like love covers multitude of sin. Like the way love is and I'm trying to find it in Romans where it says no height nor depth. No angels. That's that's actually not Romans. That's in No, think it is in Romans. think it's in Romans. I'm pretty sure it's in Romans. But it's like he's just like God just his his love is so unfathomable. Literally his love is so unfathomable. Yes. Romans 8:39. knew it. Amen. 8:39. It's like it's something that you cannot really fathom other than us receive. That's why so many people, we're talking about this in Bible study yesterday in in small group where it's like lot of young adults feel so much shame to grasp the love of Christ because of their upbringing, because of what they were exposed to since they were little, whatever it is that they experienced. You know, they feel like there's no way someone can love me with this much shame that I'm carrying. It's like you don't have to carry that burden, you know, cuz God is there. And like the Bible says, where sin abides, where the multitude of sin, there am. You know what I'm saying? That's where God covers because his love covers that. His love is the one that wants to really just pick you up and be like here. Like that's the greatest form of love. Sacrificing your life, laying down your life, greatest form of love. He's shown he's shown it to us. And all we have to do is receive it, but we but we we struggle to receive it. We struggle to receive it because we cannot fathom that love. And it's not for us to fathom, but instead it's for us to receive it in in gentleness and and just like be like, "Lord, like teach me to receive it." You get what I'm saying? Because I've never had this before. And it's like it's is rare. It's like not common ground. So, Romans 8:37, no, 8:26. 8:26. Likewise, the spirit or 8:29, think it is 8:29. And for 8:39, knew it. You're messing me up, sister. Okay, here it is. Nor height, for nor rulers. Actually, the whole verse is actually really good. Know in all these things we are not we're we're more than conquerors through him who loved us. For am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. That is such beautiful verse. There's nothing there's no running from it. There's no hiding from it. There's nothing you can do to earn it. There's nothing you can do to work for it or buy it. There's no price for it. It is something that is giving to God. the one that that created everything. You know what I'm saying? And the Bible says like our works are like filthy rags. There's nothing we can do for God. but God just wants to give us everything that he has. You know, he made us in his likeness and his image. Like that's that's purest for Bible says that we're rulers. He made us rulers of the earth. We have dominion over the earth. Like the God just his love is so man. He he came down into human form to to live with us. You know what I'm saying? to connect with us to show us the greatest form of love is coming down from his throne limiting his power to say here and what we do we put him on cross but yet in that even in that he still found way to perform his love and show us like even though you persecuted me you killed me like still love you and still have chance Lord forgive them for they don't know what they do as he was nailed in cross like that love to me it's hard for me to fathom so just receive it knowing God like there's nothing can do to run away from this love. No height, no depth, no angels, nothing can separate me from this love that you have for me. So Lord, receive it, you know. And think because that love is so deep and we didn't do anything to earn it, think we also have to give it back. You know what mean? Like even though it is hard and and I'm not undermining people's experiences and hurts and just their heart to some people in certain situations because that's valid as well. just feel like just reminding ourselves like, man, we are in this world for season and for short season. Let me keep looking at eternity. Let me fix my eyes to eternity because that that same love that received, that same love that covered my sins, that same love that hugs me and covers me, that same shadow that that that secures me under the father's wing. Like, why not? Why not just be that light even though someone doesn't deserve it? cuz certainly don't deserve it and still receive that. No, for real. Amen. the second one is joy. the meaning joy is deep abiding inner rejoicing that comes from knowing God, not from circumstances. Come on, bro. The biblical support of this is Nehemiah 8:10. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Romans 15:13. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him. Joy is anchored in God's promises. It is not temporary happiness. And feel like we can really go in this because feel like lot of people are seeking happiness. feel like this society is is like big propaganda of like, you know, happiness. You have to chase happiness. You have to chase your dream so it can make you happy. And people are lost into chasing and chasing to get and they get to point where they're like, "Man, did all of this. studied for this long. worked for this thing. worked this hard for me to find that in the other end am not happy. This thing is not fulfilling me. This thing is not bringing me joy. just had happiness." But guess what? Once you get something, you keep wanting the next. You keep wanting the next because that thing doesn't fulfill you fully fulfill you. And that is joy. The joy of the Lord is truly our strength because it fills us up. We don't need to seek anything else because we're satisfied. Yes. There's so many people that are in the most like disturbing circumstances and they still have joy because they rely in God's promises. They rely that God is faithful God. And even though in this side of eternity, we're not going to see the the judgment of God, right? But we're going to see it in eternity and our hope is in eternity. So think that is the joy of the Lord. believe that many of us right now if you are not happy, if you feel like you're in place in situation where you just keep feeling unsatisfied that no matter what you do, you just don't have that that that lightness in your step. really do encourage you to get in your word to seek God to know him from who he is to read his promises and believe them and believe them because that's where we find the joy. Come on. That's so good. Amen. This is so good. And I'm I'm highlighting this because this is actually really good. I'm about to read it right now. but it just tells you like joy is so something completely different in happiness. don't want to be happy. It's contemporary feeling. want to be joyful, meaning I'm joyful in all the circumstances. When was leaving New York in my little 2001 Honda few years ago and Bambi Bambi if you ain't know had 2001 think 2002 Honda Civic car was if you know New York Holland tunnel it's very busy tunnel. my gosh. My car was overheating in the tunnel. Low cooling. There was smoke coming out the front hood as I'm driving. People are beeping at meep and I'm like if this car gets stuck here people will hate me soever they're going to be so mad because this is already so much traffic to begin with. So it's like for car to be stuck inside the tunnel and they how how you going to get truck exactly how am going to get was broke. didn't have money. I'm like bro how am going to do this? was just going through it and prayed put actually put Maverick City don't know if it was Joe in the morning but it was Maverick City and blasted that thing. was like, "Lord, please, was praying God, please get me out of this tunnel at least so can pull over." but as of course the Lord endured, he helped me. went through with it for little bit and then got to like almost like New Jersey vibes and then right there had to pull over. pulled over cuz my car was like So had literally just enough Yeah, just enough to pull over on the side of the road. And don't know if you ever went on the side of the road, but it's like you could feel the cars go so fast and like my car was moving. It's so small. I'm like, no." put the windows down obviously cuz had no AC. My car was overheating. was waiting for it to cool down. put music on my phone cuz my my car was dead. And was just worshiping my feet out. I'm like, "I'm going to wait until the car cools down. Lord, thank you. I'm alive." Like, was just being so grateful. was like, "Thank you. I'm alive. I'm well. You got me out of that tunnel. That's all that matters." Like, Lord, I'm going to make it to PA. Like, I'm going to make it some way somehow, Lord. And know you're going to be good. And was just joyful. Like was looking at the clouds. I'm like, "God, you're so good. I'm alive. got breath in my lungs. This is temporary." You know, and it like it built endurance. and obviously got to PA and right when got to PA, was able to get tow truck or whatever. But it's like was joyful. But even in the way that you got the tow truck, like God made way. Yeah, bro. Cuz it was through friend that it was my neighbor. Yeah. Your neighbor. Like how how would you calculate that in that season of your life, your neighbor was an owner of tow truck company? like he had dealer, not dealership, sorry, mechanic shop. Everything was like God was like, "Yo, got you. Just relax." No, literally had no money. So, it's like he looked out for me too. Fix my car and stuff. And was like, "Wow." Like the Lord, the Lord, the Lord. But, the Bible says this, "Through him, we have also obtained access by faith into grace in which we stand." And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. And hope does not put us to shame because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Amen. That is beautiful verse. We rejoice in our trespasses. We rejoice when things go wrong because why? that that that endurance builds character and that character builds hope. So, it was like that's that's exactly what went through. Like that that right there just expanded my faith. Another great example, too, is Paul when he wrote the book of Philippians, believe it was Philippians, that he was in jail, writing like the most encouraging book of the Bible. And that just goes to show that man, when you have God, you have God and his joy is and you have like you literally have joy because you have the Holy Spirit and you know that God is watching over you. He's looking out for you. But not only that, your salvation for your soul is secure. Is secure. So yes, may be in jail, but guess where I'm going. You know what I'm saying? Going to heaven. I'm going to heaven. So it's just truly like such joy. Yes. To know what God saved us from, bro. His promises truly reminds us of that. He's so good. Amen. Number three, peace. The fruit of peace, calmness and rest in the soul that comes from trusting God regardless of life storm. We read it in John John 14:27. Peace live with you. My peace give you. Do not let your hearts be troubled. We also read it in Philippians 4:6-7. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts. Yep. Peace comes from trusting in God's sovereignty. Amen. That's where peace come from. Peace comes from from believing that God, you got me. Amen. God, I'm trusting you. Yeah. Yes. Right now, you may be going through divorce. Yes. Right now you may been fired from your job. Yes. Right now you have no food on your table. Yes. Right now you your car may be broke down and your house needs your bills got to be paid. God trust you that you are going to provide. People who don't know God don't understand that peace you know cuz it surpasses all understanding. So it's like for you to really understand that peace you have to you have to be in God. Mhm. You have to be in God because there was times where like when was like first moved out had barely no money struggling and used to tell people like got it. They were like yo how are you paying your rent? How are you doing this? I'm like God God got me you know and it's like I'm good. It's like yeah got to pay this much by this amount of time but it's like got faith like God got me. They were like what does that even mean? Like why are you so calm or whatever but it's because trust in the Lord and it's not supposed to be something that grasp. It's something that understand. It's something that receive. That's why it surpasses all understanding. Yeah. It's like why am supposed to conceptualize that I'm not supposed to just receive it and in that it will make sense. Yeah. And feel like can also relate because there has been many moments in my job that I'm like it's little slower like you know things are coming up and it's like found myself with so much peace because know that God already provided for me before. What makes me think is I'm going to do it again. So instead of me wearing and wasting my time wearing, I'm just going to seek God and I'm going to ask God to provide for me. I'm going to ask God and and for the things that need. And literally found myself doing that and keep doing that because truly guys, when you worry, your peace is being taken from you, you're not going to gain anything from worrying. If right now you are in situation where you feel like, man, I'm worried about this and that. That's not going to solve anything. You know what's going to solve things? If you go to God in prayer, Amen. If you seek God, that's going to move mountains. If you just stay there and you're just dwelling in whatever you're going through, that's not going to move anything. That's that's not going to shift anything in the spirit. Exactly. So, when found myself in in places and moments and situations when I'm like, like can worry in this and can even get lost in worrying sometimes if we're being 100% honest. But then I'm like, I'm not doing anything by worrying, nothing. and asked the Lord and he provides in ways didn't even think about. Like he's such good God. So really do encourage you in this if you find yourself like my piece is being stolen by this situation, by this relationship, by this thing that didn't go my way. Like don't waste second worrying. Don't do it. Go to God. Ask him for your for his peace. Ask the Lord. Ask the Holy Spirit that lives inside of you. Holy Spirit, need you to manifest the peace that you hold. That's your characteristic. need you to show me how that looks like because my peace is being stolen right now. No, literally, the Bible says, feed the birds. feed the flocks." How much more precious are you? Like, what kind of father is bad gift to his children? my gosh, that's so good. actually want to read that. Yeah. And it's like, you know, God God is is good God, perfect God at that. And he knows how to give gifts. He knows how to, you know, intervene for us because we are so much precious in his sight, you know, and we, that's another verse that we have to meditate on when we're in doubt, we're in fear. Well, where are you, God? Where are you, God? Now, he's there. He's in the midst of it all. all you have to do is acknowledge him. Yes. actually want to read that verse because really want us to like really meditate on it. It is Matthew 6 verse 26. It reads, "Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store foods in barns, for your heavenly father feeds them. And aren't you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add single moment to your life? Come on. And why worry about your clothing? Look at the liies of the field and how they grow. They don't worry or make their clothing. They don't work or make their clothing. Yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. Yeah. And if God cares so wonderfully for the wild flowersowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? Come on. Why? It is it is waste of time. It is waste of time that we we worry. We serve God who's in the details. We serve God who cares about you. Yeah. And that is such peacegiver. It's like such sweet reminder. And like he said in the word, why do you have such little faith? That's what it comes down to. You just have little faith. You know, the Bible says if you have faith as small as mustard seed, like some of us don't even have that type of faith as mustard seed. So it's like God can't even work in that if there's no faith involved, you know. He needs something. There's substance that has to come with your belief, you know. And it's like once you have that faith, God can use that and operate. But it's like you don't even have faith enough to let God intervene into your into your life. It's it's it's you problem, you know, and like I'm not saying this like to come at you or whatever. I'm saying this is the factor on why you're not seeing God move. It's like you're not letting him move. That's what I'm saying. Cuz used to do that, too. want to control. don't want to have to give up certain things because didn't know the outcome of them. You know what I'm saying? It's like that battle in terms of like, God, if give this up or if tithe this much, Lord, like how am going to make this and I'm But it's like little faith, bro. Little faith. If you feel led to tithe this, why are you hesitant? Like, tithe it. You know what I'm saying? For much is given, more is required. You know what I'm saying? So, it's like if God has blessed me so much, like why can be faithful with it? And so, you know, all these things is like challenging my faith. Like, my goodness. have to reflect. I'm the problem. You know what I'm saying? I'm the problem while I'm not seeing fruits. I'm the problem while I'm not seeing God help me overcome these things. And it's like it's not only with finances, it's like in your life in general. if you're stuck in certain area or you're stuck with certain pattern, it's like you're not giving God room to help you overcome that because of my faith, you know? Yes. So, that's another challenging factor with with this walk. So, so good. the next one is patience. You don't have patience. We What? Nah, brother. What? Don't add me in that one. What? Don't add me in that one. My little one My little one taught me My little one taught me how to be patient. It's impossible. Not impossible because if you're not walking or operating in the spirit, you can easily get upset with your kids. But when you look at your like when look at my baby, I'm like, you're baby like you don't know anything. She eating, right? She has no No, she doesn't know what pione is. No, she doesn't know what patient is. She don't be eating. Obviously, she has no teeth, so she can't like chew. So sometimes like sometimes like she'd be like swallowing too fast and then she be coughing. Could be taking away your food for little bit? That never do that. But you're making it seem like you're not feeding her. No, never do that. Remember with the bread? You like, "Okay, you're done." I'm going to give you what was it? You gave her like that yogurt stuff. No, cuz the thing is No, but didn't learn how to chew. No, no, no, no. So, what did was broke it down cuz the thing is think like, okay, cuz she's really good at eating. So, I'm okay. Like, gave her big piece, but my girl was like I'm like, "No, girl. You're going to give me heart attack. Okay, you're going to get the small piece." Okay. Patience. Patience. the ability to endure hardship, suffering, or provocation without becoming angry or upset. Colossians 3:12, "Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience." James 1:4, "Let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire." Patience reflects God's promises. Patience reflects God's patience with us. That's in second Peter 3:9. Yeah. think the biggest takeaway for me here is the ability to endure hardships without becoming angry or upset. Cuz if when you're impatient, you become upset. If you're in traffic, you're like and people are not moving the first thing you want to do like okay like hurry up like move. Like you become angry. become like hasty, you know, and that is the biggest conviction. It's like, okay, you wait your turn, you know, like yes, something is not happening in your timeline, but man, is it going to happen in God's timeline? And we have to exercise being patient without being like, God, why is taking you so long to come through? God, why is this happening? And same thing like in daytoday life like if you are in line for long time if you're in traffic like why can you have patience to like wait like you want to honk your horn you want to curve somebody out like that is not godly. No for real that that's just so like there's not much peace dwelling in your life you know cuz like you got to wait an hour in traffic like what can you do? You're in traffic. What are you going to get helicopter and leave? Like you have to sit there so you might as well just fly away for real. you have no other option but to do. So it's like lot of us get upset about certain situations that low key we don't have control over. Mhm. So it's like what are we going to do, bro? Are we God? Like you know just endure just endure cuz it's going to build character without becoming angry. Exactly. Without becoming without becoming upset and and and trust me like patience is easier said than done. And we we have father who patience. My boy likes to do everything fast. He's Dominican dad. That brother that brother wants to get it done fast. He don't read manuals. No, no, no. He don't. What is that? No. My boy is going to be He's gonna figure it out. No, no. In the move cuz my brother just moved recently near us and my brother was like, "Yo, like that was helping us." And like didn't say anything because he was helping us, but he was like throwing those boxes in cuz he wanted to do it fast and he's like, "My boy got no patience." Like got no patience. His timeline is like now but it's like bro like that type of would tell my dad like yo you got to relax. You know what I'm saying? like he's like, got to relax." He's like, you don't like little Chihuahua." He is little Chihuahua. But it's like you got to take life one step at time. It's so much better. Like if like just enjoy the wind, enjoy the flowers. think what we can do as group, what we can do as group is exercise this whenever situation, right, that we're late or somebody's late and you're like waiting for someone. If you are stuck in traffic, if you're waiting on promise, if you're waiting for something to come through in your life, really do challenge you to practice the fruit of the of the spirit of patience. say this because do believe that God's timing is perfect. think we all believe that. and believe that God's timing is perfect because he's preventing us from things that are going to be harmful. yeah. One thing that always think about is like if there's like lone traffic and yes may be late to this event and may find myself like dang like this got to be moved but God may be sparing our lives from an accident right somebody probably like did something and God is like keeping us exactly so keep that in mind if you're waiting for someone okay like it is upsetting but what can you do for real you know what mean like what can you do move the cars one by one like come on bro think it's waste of time you know what mean no for real it's like you might as well not let it get to you. Yeah, think just keeping that in mind like exercising that fruit, just chill. The next fruit is kindness. The meaning of kindness is compassion in action. Amen. Okay. Not just feeling compassionate like you're sitting down in action. tender concern for others expressed through actions. Okay, that's you like you're kind person. but you better work on that. What? Dang, you were going very well. Ephesians 4:32, be kind and compassionate to one another. Guess what was the action is? Forgiving one another. Another one. Another one. Another one. Titus. Keep that. Keep that thought. Titus 3:45. Yeah. When the kindness and love of our God our savior appeared, he saved us. Again, compassion. But then there's an action. You know what mean? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Is an action. It's is it's is what it says here. It is compassion expressed in an action. So kindness God's love and mercy. If you Yeah. If you notice like all the fruits kind of like they have to coexist together and they all somewhat relate. You know, patience, gentleness, compassion. But it's like it's similar but it's not the same. You get what I'm saying? It's very similar, but it's not the same because it's certain areas that you have to tap into to be able to walk in that. But yes, with with forgiveness, feel like, you know, forgive. Don't get me wrong, 100% forgive. And feel like I've never had to like really endure that really endure like something that like cannot forgive them. No, but in the heat of the moment, I'm like, no. You're done. You're done. You're my black book, brother. For real." And feel like that's also you got to you got to surrender to the Lord. It's something also got to work on. Yeah. Which is like, you know, people always show you the true colors. And for me, like when you show me your true colors, it kind of paints in that image of you. Yeah. And you believe them and you don't want anything. And it's like that's like you showed me that that's it. That's all need to know. And deceive you like that forever. And I'm like cannot do that. That's not godly. That's not godly. And that's not godly. Cuz it's like when was before Christ to now, Jesus is going to Bible says that he buries our sin at the deepest part of the ocean. and he remembers no more. He forgot who was. That's crazy. And can't forget my brother how he was or my sister how they were. And to me that's something that I'm working on though. And I'm seeing that in the scriptures and I'm like, "Okay, have to be more loving." cannot perceive other people based on their past action towards me. got to perceive them based on the forgiveness that I've given them. So if forgave you for this one thing, cannot perceive you for that same thing that forgave you from because really didn't forgive you. If I'm you off of that, should just love you and obviously be cautious. Don't be dumb. Like if you lending somebody money and not giving it back to you, like don't lend them more money. That's not acting in wisdom. That's not acting wisdom. But you still should be loving to them. You know what I'm saying? so for me like is it's is that that I'm working on like for me or how think it's like one and done. You did that. Like why would you even do that? No, you're done. But it's like dang, can't think like that. That's not that's not godly. And you know going back to kindness, think I've been think it's gift of mine. Like really love showing people that love them by actions. It's like it can be simp. You cannot do that face, brother. Cuz if anyone has shown you love is me. All right, I'm trolling. I'm trolling. And I'm I'm going to say it. Don't say it. Now, you know what's crazy? was thinking about this earlier. How so people like what the Bible says that if you if you get like the glory or expectation like applause right? No, no, no, no. Like that's all that's all the reward you're going to get. so it's like whenever you do don't do that. my bad. Whenever you do something for someone like if you just want the applause, that's all you're going to get. So you're missing like everything else that God has for you because you're seeking that plus and that like look what she does. Like no when you do things do it onto God. You know if someone is appreciative Amen. Nothing there's nothing love more than someone who's appreciative. No. Yo for real bro because feel like that's how am too. Like if you give me something, I'm gonna be like, I'm make sure you know how thankful am. It can be simple word of encouragement or it can be gift. Like I'm gonna make sure that you know like, yo, thank you so much for hosting me. Thank you so much for thinking of me. Thank you so much for praying for me. Like love people like that. But if you don't give me appreciation for what I've done to you, that's fine cuz the Lord somehow someway is going to give that back to you. So if you're struggling in this area where you're like, don't want to let people in. don't it's hard for me to like show love. It's hard for me to be affectionate. Not affectionate in like physical way, but you know, in opening your home, in inviting people over, and you making meal to someone, like ask God to to help you with that for the spirit because that's kindness. Yeah. Don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. think it's so like do it out of the gentleness and the love that comes through you, not because of the applaud or the look at me, I'm doing this for you. Cuz that's all the glory you're going to get. Like that's self-righteousness. That's you being like I'm this that's still you know it's like you don't want to do that. You want to do it. The Bible says when you work don't work like you're working on to man but do it like you're working on to God. So it's like you're doing Lord love you so much and this is something that you would be you know pleased with and want to please you. I'm an audience of one. How can do that? you know what's really interesting because you did say that the fruit of the spirits are similar but they're different. So when you think about kindness, you think about goodness, you almost feel like they're the same thing, right? like goodness and kindness you have to be good but actually they're not the same thing here says that goodness is moral excellence so that fruit of the spirit is one that really makes you be like oo have to check myself lowkey overlooked integrity generosity that reflects the nature of God in Romans 12:21 do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good Psalms 23:6 surely goodness goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. Goodness involves righteousness. Yes. Yes. Yes. That's what goodness is. Like goodness is you being morally right. Right. Like is is is moral excellence. And that word excellence is like Yeah. You know, it's hard for you to be morally excellent. It's hard for you to your thoughts be pleasing to God. Thoughts that is hard for you to control every single one as they come in. Exactly. You know, it's hard for you to morally do good. Exactly. Instead of fall into sin. Yeah. And that fruit of the spirit is one that we have to constantly seek God to help us. And key word you, you know, you striving to like you can't do it by yourself. You know what I'm saying? It's like when you try to do it out of your own strength, you can't do it. But when you do with the Holy Spirit, it's doable. The Holy SP is doable. If it's in the Bible, that means you can do it. You get what I'm saying? So it's like don't think like, cannot be morally excellent. It's not perfection. And it's is excellence meaning you're doing it with with you know all your might and all your power. Exactly. It's like the Holy Spirit will empower you to do it with excellence. because it is not of your own strength but it is through the Holy Spirit. Yeah. That is key because as we read in the book of John it says that am the vine and you're the branches. Those who remain in me and in them will produce much fruit. You cannot be morally excellent if you're not if you're not abiding in Christ. There's no way you can do that. So if we're abiding in the Lord, that's what we're going to be able to produce the fruit. Exactly. If you're going to do it by yourself, I'm promise you, you're wasting your time because it's going to be impossible. The flesh controls so much. Yes. if you don't walk in the spirit. If you don't walk in the spirit. We have two more. Two more and then we're done. The next one is faithfulness. Faithfulness is loyalty and trustworthiness to God and others. Lamentations 3:22-23, great is your faithfulness. Cuz God is loyal. Like, if there's one thing can say about God and his character is how loyal he is. The definition of loyal literally the definition of someone that you can trust forever and he's trustworthy. He will never use that against you. No. Jeez, Lord, let me be more like you. 1 Corinthians 4:2. Now it is required that those who have been given trust must prove faithful. Yeah. So faithfulness is living constantly with what we believe. Come on. Right. Like that is faithfulness. Faithfulness is loyalty. It is being trustworthy. trustworthy friend. loyal friend. Someone that people can rely on. Someone that people can can feel safe in because you're not gossiping. You're not going here and talking about this person and you're like creating that environment and that characteristic where people can truly feel safe with you. It is trait from the Holy Spirit 100%. Any thoughts? No. You are faithful. Yeah. The next one is self-control. Yes. And it is the last fruit of the spirit that we're going to break down today. So self-control, it is the mastery. yeah. key word, mastery over one's desires and impulses, especially in the face of temptations. That's really good. feel like self-control is key. It's such key to lot of things. And most of these things can only be not can only, but most of the times they're produced with the fruit of self-control. Mhm. So it's like knowing when to do and how to do is all under the brack of self-control. The Bible says that man who can rule over his own spirit is like man is is is like stronger what is it? It's like stronger than than than than to conquer city. forgot. Yes, it is in Proverbs 25:28. Like city whose walls are broken through is person who lacks selfcontrol. Exactly. That's another like translation that says like when you rule over your own spirit like you're able to to see like you have more more endurance than city with no walls. but it's like that alone tells you so much because if you cannot rule over your own spirit, if you cannot have the self-control and to do and put your flesh under subjection to your spirit, you know, it's so easy to think carnally. It's so easy to act in the flesh. It's so easy to be impulsive. It's so easy to not think before you do. Rather do and then you think about it afterwards and that's what you don't want to do. But it's like the Holy Spirit will help you. And that's the thing with lot of Christians that I'm going be honest like there is no self-control in lot of Christians. And so they tend to do things and everyone's in different walk. I'm not judging. I'm saying the truth. There's lot of things that Christians do that it is normalized or it's okay, you know, but in reality it isn't and you can just tell like the patterns of their old life, you know, start trickling down to their walk with God and it's like they justify these things, but it's like there's no self-control. There is no laying down their old self and their old things of doing. Instead, it's almost like impulsively saying things and doing things. And it's like foolish zeal. It's foolish zeal. It's like you're zealous without having the control to know when and where on how to do what God is calling you to do. And think that's what we have to really strive for. It's like God, let me not be foolishly zealous for you and want to do things out of my emotions and how feel, but instead let me be subjected to your spirit to know when and where and how. Cuz God can call you and say, "I'm going to send you out to the nations." He can give you that word. I'm going to call you to preach the nations. I'm going to call you to be missionary and all these things. But Lord, when the timing is crucial because if you do it prematurely, then it can be worse off than how God intended it. But if you do it afterwards, then you would have missed out on so many souls and so many things God wanted because you had no self-control because you had no self-control. So it's like if you take too long or if you're too short, it it can be problem. And it's like my thing is this, if you're in that season where it's like, okay, so how do know when how do know how? if you submit yourself and your desires to God, the Bible says that he will give you the desires of your heart if you dwell in him. It is not just your desires of God, if you dwell in him, when you dwell in him and you're consistent with the Lord, you're consistent with laying your life down every single day with God, you're consistent with reading your Bible, you're consistent with prayer, abiding and you're abiding like the Bible says, the branch and those who abide in me will produce much fruit. If you abide in him, it is so much easier and it's so much it is so much better for you to hear from God because now for the Lord to tell you something. You're going to know when and where how to do it. And the fruit of the spirit of self-control will tell you. You literally know. It's it's feeling that you cannot explain. It's like you know that you know that you know that you're supposed to be doing this. And it's like it's is God speaking to spirit because God is spirit. The Bible says those who worship me in spirit and in truth. So he's spirit, you know. So it's like he's going to speak to your spirit. It's like small still voice that you feel inside of you like this is what need to do. Like just know this is what need to do. Like when had to move to EZ, just knew like this is what need to do. and was like, God, but it's like don't know how to like explain it, but it's like need to go. And it's like listen to it. And then so much came out of that. So that small still voice can only come if you abide in God. And think self-control is reflection of life governed by the spirit, not the flesh. So, if you are governed by the spirit, you're going to be walking in self-control. You're going to be walking in that in that heavenly realm guard. It's guard rail. Come on. It's is protecting you from not making impulsive decisions. You're not walking in your own timeline. You're walking in his timeline and seeking him out. And think it's very evident when someone is in the spirit because they show that fruit so beautifully of self-control. They're not getting ahead of themselves. They're walking in obedience and they're walking under the literally under the spirit and they're hearing from God. Exactly. but just really pray that all of this was fruitful to you guys. You know, really know know for fact that it was fruitful for me. think deep diving in each fruit and really thinking and seeing okay God where in my life do have to seek you more of and can you bring situations again dangerous prayer even already you know but think it's very meaningful to ask God like God give me situations where can produce the fruit that you want me to produce because do believe that whenever we are in situations that's when we like actually have to walk and put action behind our hurts, right? So asking the Lord and being honest with him like, "Hey God, like need more help in this. Like God, this is triggering me like can you help me like what what in your word can meditate." Yeah. So can really be in your presence and can really be renewed. That's it. It's all about asking. Ask receive. Knock and the door shall be open to you. How much how badly do you really want to grow in God? And how badly do you when you want to perform these things? And again, it's about vulnerability and just being real with the Lord. And it is it is lifestyle. It is lifestyle. It is also our calling on this earth because we know that this is race that we're running yes until the end right so we have to endure and think enduring is walking in wisdom enduring is being light it's not just living it's living fully for God so do believe and and really know that whenever we seek God for these things are really important for our characters in our Christian walk you know we cannot just settle for the bare minimum we have to Ask God for more. Yes. Because know and believe that even though there's so many things that are hard on this side of eternity, it is still like beautiful reflection of God because his Holy Spirit is here. Exactly. And he wants an abundant life for us. No. Legit. And abundant life also doesn't look like car, house, marriage. No. Abundant life is having peace. Yes. Is having joy. It's having self-control. It's having love. Is is having gentleness. That's an abundant life where you don't need anything from the world, but you need the Holy Spirit in your life. Amen. That's really good. And that's that's where we got to get to. So, praise the Lord, y'all. think this is really good. You know, as we keep walking with the Lord and as we keep, you know, being pruned by him, the Bible says that we're set apart with all the earth. We're supposed to be different, you know, and it's like we have to project that to the world so they can actually come to Christ. Bible says to avoid the appearance of evil. So, it's like how can you walk as Christian and yet have characteristics that don't glorify God? being be challenge you to to be like Lord want to be more like you. want to be better reflection like you and let me produce these fruits so people can come to you. Amen. that's challenging that's challenging prayer like you said and that's what we that's what we hope for you. So thank you guys so much for watching. We love you and we'll see you on the next one. God bless. Bye.
