lot of people say they are born again. They pray to prayer, they go to church, they believe in Jesus, but their life never actually changes. And that creates dangerous assumption that you can belong to Christ while continuing in the same lifestyle he called you out of. But Jesus never taught that. Being born again is not just believing something in your mind. It's new life and new direction. And later in this video, I'm going to show you one category of deception that makes people feel spiritually safe while they are actually not right with God. But first, here are some scriptures shows are incompatible with truly born again life. Number one, life of unrepented sin. One of the clearest warnings in scripture is about people who continue sin without repentance. Not struggling with sin, but living in it with no conviction, no resistance, and no desire to change. First John 3:9 says, "No one born of God makes practice of sinning." This doesn't mean Christian never fails. It means sin cannot become lifestyle without change. Because when someone is truly born again, sin stops being something they comfortably live in. And when repentance is completely absent, it reveals that something deeper has not changed. Number two, sexual sin that is fully embraced without resistance. Sexual sin is one of the clearest areas where scripture shows break between the old life and the new life. This includes pornography, fornication, lust, and sexual immorality that is lived in without conviction. First Corinthians 6:9-10 says, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived, neither the sexually immoral nor adulterers nor adulteresses nor effeminate nor homosexuals nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor revilers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." This doesn't mean temptation ever comes. It means born again life cannot fully embrace what God clearly calls sin without resistance. Because when the Holy Spirit is inside someone, he begins to confront what used to feel normal. And when there is zero conviction at all, something is spiritually wrong. Number three, life of deception, dishonesty, and habitual lying. life that is truly born again cannot remain comfortable in deception. This includes lying without guilt, manipulating others, living one way outwardly but differently privately. Revelation 21:8 says, "But as for all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death." Because truth becomes part of your new nature when God changes your heart. And when deception is still normal, it reveals the transformation has not taken root. Number four, bitterness, unforgiveness, and hardened heart. Another clear sign of life not fully surrendered is ongoing bitterness. Holding grudges, refusing to forgive. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger be put away from you, forgiving one another as God in Christ forgave you." Forgiveness is not optional in transformed life, it is evidence of it. Because when you understand how much God has given you, it begins to soften how you treat others. When that softness never appears, something is spiritually missing. Number five, loving the world more than God. Scripture is very direct about divided loyalty. First John 2:15 says, "If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him." But when the world still holds the strongest pull on your heart, it shows what is truly leading your life. Number six, life with no desire for obedience. One of the clearest marks of being born again is not perfection, but direction. changed heart begins to desire obedience even when it struggles. John 14:15 says, "If you love me, keep my commandments." This shows that love of God is connected to obedience, not just belief. Because someone who is truly born again may still struggle, but they will not reject obedience completely. And when obedience is completely absent, it reveals deeper issue of the heart. Number seven, claiming Christ while living without surrender or real change. This is one of the most dangerous deceptions in Christianity, because many people claim they are born again, but their life shows no real transformation. They still live how they want, they still resist correction, they still ignore conviction, they still treat Jesus as an addition, not as Lord. But scripture makes it clear that this kind of life is not just weak faith, it's warning sign. Second Corinthians 5:17 says, "If anyone is in Christ, he is new creation. The old has passed away, behold, the new has come." Not improved, new. And if nothing changes, something is missing. Because real salvation produces real change. Even if it's not instant perfection, there is always new direction. And this connects to something even more important. Because one of the biggest reasons people stay in deception is not just sin, it's misrepresenting what they think is God's voice. Some people assume God is okay with what he actually never approved of. Others ignore conviction thinking it's just their emotions. And some follow thoughts that feel spiritual, but were never from him at all. That's why discernment matters so much, because if you can't tell what is God's voice and what isn't, you can easily believe you're right with him while being led in the wrong direction.
