I'm Wafaa Alshami I'll talk about the principles of drawing. The principles are not only that we can draw an eye, head, body, or even the hair but they're also how to analyze or anatomy the body, and how to skip the problems that happens during the drawing. Also, and how to draw any idea in your mind. There're many principles you must learn which will help you to be able to practice the skills you want. The music for example, you have to learn the musical notes, and how to press on the keyboard by your hands. You must learn all these important things that will help you. The drawing is the same, you have to establish yourself before start drawing. Some people start drawing and get back to learn the principles of drawing, so those people will not be able to develop themselves, because they didn't learn the principles of drawing or trying to train and develop their skills. All information provided on these series; you'll not find them on any Arabic content. searched lot on YouTube and web on the Arabic contents before making this video, but unfortunately, didn't find anything similar to the English contents. On the Arabic, the principles that we have is only on shading, how to hold to pencil, draw an eye and etc… These things are skills that you'll learn then. The principles are how and where to start from? *Drawing Basics* Let me teach you about the principles of drawing. *The lines* The lines are considered as the first step of the drawing, let me tell you why? The lines are your drawing, painting, your beginning of writing, and everything. There's big difference between the beginner and professional as you see. The first comment from professional is about the lines, are they beautiful or not? You are here skipped the most important step and learned how to hold the pencil and, know drawing well. Point two: Shape and composition By using the three geometric shapes: triangle, circle and square, so we can simplify each image we want to draw by this method. The painters always try to make the shapes and shadows of the sketches easy and simple. The first step you must learn is the main geometric shapes and how to use it, convert it to 3D, use it in the perspective, and convert it to other bodies and shapes you want to draw. Point four: Shading Shading comes after the previous points because we simply need the add the shadow to the geometric shapes to convert it to 3D. And understand that we can convert the shape we see to 3D, and we'll also understand the light and shadow and the way it works. if the color is dark, the light will be low and the dark is high, whereas if the color is light, low and transparent, the light will be high. So that, we all must learn these principles to draw in the best way. Point Four: Perspective. It's an important thing, especially after we learn the lines, shapes, composition and shading. We must know how to add the body inside the available space and the existence of the harmony between the shape and the space. And there's something like "dialogue" between them, mean there's relation between the light, shadow and the colors. It's very important that we learn to draw one or two perspectives until proficiency and draw the perspective we want without depending on the image. Point five: Anatomy and proportion: It's about body anatomy, so we go deeply and know the parts of the body from inside to outside, also draw the bones in simple and complex way. There's also type of drawing that called jester, fast drawing for bodies and shapes takes 10 to 15 seconds, makes our minds understand the movement we have without go into more details. Also, there's type of all the body drawing with the shapes, so we able to know the composition of the body from the beginning to the end. As explained, you'll be able to draw any anatomy or position. The most important thing is you must learn the principles from inside to outside. Doctors do body anatomy, so do you. Point six: Theory of Colors It's very important theory for who likes coloring by wooden colors, watercolors, oil colors or even by digital colors. It's most important to know how to use the colors and its harmony together. How colors could make dialogue and express an event, feeling and ambience The colors are an outside look for our feelings, so we not only know to coloring or color harmony but also, we'll learn how to express our feelings by the suitable colors. The last point: It's about the skills of the control and analyzing. They're enable you to know the colors and its harmony in definite shape, colors, shapes, nature, light, and shadow, all previous things must be known to you to be controlled and analyzed. How could be this color harmonize with the other? and being prominent? We have hot and cold colors, how cold colors could be harmonized together. This step is very important. For sure and frankly, this step is the most one that like. like monitoring the things, bodies and the nature, and analyzing these shapes, movements, and colors, to be able to use them in my drawings. This skill is very important and mentioned less by the painters to beginners to focus on it, so don't forget these skills because it's very important as much as lines, theory of colors, anatomy and proportion. So, you need the skills of following.
