Hi! Are you new to Twinkl? Are you new to parenting? Is your child asking you things from school that you don't immediately know the answer to? Then have no fear! Here at Twinkl, we have whole section of the website dedicated to helping parents in any way that we can. It's all made by teachers and can be trusted by parents. So thought I'd give you tour of the Parents Hub to show you what we've got. To find the Parents part of the website you can either head to the Remote Learning tab at the top and then click on Twinkl Parents or from the homepage scroll all the way down to the Resources list, simply click on Parents and it will take you to the Parents Hub landing page. It's all really clearly set out and well-labelled. To start off with, if you've got children you need Parenting Wiki in your life! This can be found at the top of the Parent Hub. Basically, it gives you definition for all the common terms and key words that are used in parenting and learning. Simply type what you need in the search bar and it will bring up definitions and resources. Next to the Parenting Wiki link, there is link to Online Learning. This takes you to Twinkle Go! which is organised by age range and subject and are awesome interactive games that children can play independently. What's not to love? Educational online games which are safe - perfect for bit of guilt-free screen time! At the top of the Parents Hub, you can also find the link to Homework Help. This is an area that you and your children can use together to research topics in safe space. It's great place to check out the key facts of the most common school topics so you can impress your child with how good your Ancient Greek knowledge is when they're learning about it at school! But seriously, it's great safe place for children to research projects independently too. And finally along the top you've got link to Twinkl Kids' TV - literally hundreds of videos aimed at children on lots of different topics. Definitely worth subscribe. The next part of the Parents Hub page is absolutely brilliant. You've got Early Years, Ages 5 -11, Activities & Games and Health & Wellbeing. In each of these sections, you'll find menu down the side, organised into different categories that you might need. Each of these sections can be clicked on to provide links to guides that will help you help your child, like some parent guides as well as practical activities that you can actually do with your child. In the Early Years section, we've got whole section on pregnancy and newborn stage, we've got help for when your child is starting school and we've also got some different activities grouped by age which can help you think of things to do to help your children with particular area. In the Ages 5-11 section, it's split up into subjects which is really really useful. Each area of that subject is broken down and with English and Maths, the link takes you to guide of how these are covered in school using the English curriculum as well as resources that will help support children learning about that concept. There are also great resources to support children going back to school or transitioning to new school. This section also has whole area especially for parents of children with SEND, broken down into different areas of need. Resources can be found here to help your child's development. The Activities & Games area is great place to head to if you're looking for something to fill rainy afternoon with games, puzzles, colouring all to be found here. Or if your child is showing particular interest in topic then use the Topic & Themes menu to discover all the different resources we have available. The Health and Wellbeing area is full of lovely, helpful advice for both children and you as parents, covering all kinds of things that will hopefully make your life easier from routine help to recipe ideas to bullet journals and things that you can do outdoors for fun. This area is well worth an explore to see what treasures you can find. When you are in any of these sections simply head to the top and click on the Parents link to get back to the Parents landing page. Another really useful tool on the Parents page is the link to the blog. Click on the "Raising Kids Who Thrive" link to take you there. Lots of teachers and experts across Twinkl contribute to this and it's really wealth of information and support. There are tabs to help you narrow down articles of interest but the search bar is really useful. It can give you help with supporting your child's education with useful information and links that can support learning but it's also really really useful for practical help at home. And we all love free stuff, right, so why not have look here at the taster packs available to download to give you flavour of the kind of things you'd be getting with membership. If this video has helped you see the many, many benefits of this Parents Hub, why not consider getting Twinkl membership. You can get started for as little as £4.49 month.
