The Hidden Paradise of UAE Khor Fakkan

Today is hot it's getting hotter in the UAE Here, In Dubai the temperature is almost above 40 Degrees We don't want to stay out for long to give you the introduction So I'll let Ola Tell you right away where are we going today Today we are going to city called (Khorfakkan) (Khorfakkan) city ‎is city exclave of the Emirate of (Sharjah) But is away from it It's located on the Gulf of Oman It's well known city for it's very good weather And it even has mountain so stay tuned so we can take with us in this visit just second, before you go check out where Ola is standing She found solution for the difference in length "Laugh!" Of course, in such weather It's essential... as soon as we get in the car is to turn on the AC Let's talk little bit about (Khorfakkan) I'll tell you something... used to think that (Khorfakkan) is an imaginary place That it doesn't exist on the earth Because of Syrian show called (Jameel and Hanaa) when (Em Mahmoud) was asked about her son She says he's in (Khorfakkan) "To my son in (Khorfakkan)" "That which is next to Fujairah" "(Kalba) is before her and after her is (Dabaa)" "(Dabaa), not the glue" When came to the UAE Wass shocked that it was an actual city here on the UAE and is city exclave for the Emirate of (Sharjah) "This is (Khorfakkan)!" It's my fate stay tunes because we are going to mountainous area we'll show you some of it Even the weather is starting to change from Dubai The temperature is starting to go down As we are proceeding the temperature is changing When we first got out of Dubai it was 45 Degrees Now it went down to 43 We even felt there's noise in out ears as we are driving through the mountains It looks like this is an agriculture area they have seasonal crops like melons and oranges and stuff like that They sell it on the road don't know much specifics, tell us if you know We are now going through tunnel the (Rough) tunnel long tunnel inside of the mountain We are actually inside the mountain and as you can see, it's very long tunnel As soon as we arrived to (Khorfakkan) the first thing you see Is (shis) park, and the valley of (Shis) This is our entrance in the front door Now the concept of Shis's park is different from other public parks Because as you can see (Khorfakkan) is famous for it's mountains So the concept of this park is based on climbing the mountains or Hiking on the mountains and at the same time park for children and families Thanks to (Khorfakkan)'s mountainous nature the area is full of water falls and fountains The park has Barbecue and children sectors It's not recommended if you're not athletic the concept of this park is beautiful and strange and it didn't even cost much They turned this small valley into park once we finished our first tour in (Shis)'s park we moved to an area called (Shi)'s valley (Shi)'s valley is one of the most important valley's in (Khorfakkan) And it has two important things the first is the (Rafeesa) dam But before we show you the Dam we'll show you the historical (Najd Al Miqsar) village (Najd Al Miqsar) village is defenitly historical village why? because this village is so old and it's made of rocks and muds and the roofs are made of palm branches Every thing here is historical adore these stuff currently have the (maqsar) tower behind me It's one of the defending towers in (Khorfakkan) This tower is on the highest peak of the mountain It's told that this tower was built 300 years ago It's one of the many towers spread over (Khorfakkan) this is another tower that is located far from here We want to tell you very important information That the donkey is the first transportaion for humans Even before Camels Here we have Mr. Donkey We are currently in farm because as we've mentioned earlier (khorfakkan) is famous for it's agriculture And we are going to do quick tour in one of the local farms In (khorfakkan), behind the traditional market We told you in the beginning of the video that we'll take you to see (Al Rafisa) dam So we can show it and introduce you to it It's very exquisite and has many entertaining activities But unfortunately it's Eid the police blocked the road The place was very crowded you know the precautionary arrangements We are falling... Ola is walking checking the green beauty This is sour grape Dates, look at the small dates The weather here is completely different the small of grass, the smell of green plants The smell of crops and dates And in front of me -I'll show you- pepper almost fell And those who intend to visit (Khorfakkan) shouldn't forget to visit It's old market cultural and beautiful old market let's go This market's location is close to (Khorfakkan)'s bay The smell of frankincense is everywhere The weather is beautiful, it has more humidity than the places of higher altitudes It was little cold the place is really beautiful It's has cultural soul you shouldn't visit the old market without passing on (Al Hosen) restaurant (Al Hosen) restaurant is one of the most important restaurants in (Khorfakkan) It's even located against (Al hosen) museum So it follows the culture of (Khorfakkan) It's not only restaurant, but store that sells old things that are related to Emariat's cuisine The restaurant has an amazing vibe It's Eid Time you may notice the noise around us Ola ordered greasy grouper It's coast region so the fish is fresh ordered (Majbous) with meat We tried this dish before and we did whole episode on it in Dubai love it so much, and want to try it again ere in (Khorfakkan) one of the things really liked about this restaurant The prices are awesome Imagine the dishes like chicken and (Majbool) are all around 25 to 30 Dirham The price of fish varies but It's all in the range of 50 60 dirhams The prices are super super amazing "The place is yours" The beans and Homos are two important dishes here (Nakhi) and (Baghila) The Homos here is called Nakhi And beans are called (Baghila) just like our brothers in (Iraq) (Baghila) are beans but the bigger ones will try the (nakhi) because Ola took the (Baghila) seriously Very close to (Balila), very tasty Tastes like (Fool nabit) We can't forget Emirates pickles the (Tarshi) It's called (namleh)? (Ant) (Namlet) (Namlet) Let's tell you how to open (Namlet) bottle (Namlet) is 40 years old berry juice from Emirtaes It's like coke And now we're trying it for the first time fresh feel like I'm creating an add Fresh! The most Important sea food appetizer The Calamari Here comes the greasy grouper what's good about this restaurant is that everything is fresh because the bay is nearby It's grilled over coal here in the restaurant Which means the smell is amazing and the look is awesome And I'm going to eradicate it because I'm super hungry And we haven't eaten anything sense the morning My God This looks completely amazing Perfect! My Meat Majbous arrived finally with meat as usual and lamp meat Lamp Meat For me, this is the number one Emirtian Dish tried it multiple times and repeat it every time And it tastes Amazing here Thank goodness we eradicated the target successfully This Food will not be completed without some tea Date molasses Don't try ordering this if it wasn't fresh If it didn't arrive hot. return it Now, after we filled our tummies We'll take little walk in the old market Inside the market we'll find many cultural exhibitions that show us the culture of (Khorfakkan) And the Emirates in general an old radio for people who like weapons The guns in PUBG are here feel very happy in cultural and historical places It reminds me of old times and of how our parents lived And how life was very simple If you wanted to buy gifts and Souvenirs you can find it here in the old market What like the ,most about here is that they care lot about showing everyone... the culture of (Khorfakkan) In every corner of this market there's place that tells story They are so creative with what they did they made this oven and as if they were cooking (Harees) on it where is the sound coming from? excuse me?
