How to Clear Formatting in Microsoft Word Clear Formatting Keyboard Shortcut

so you want to clear formatting from your Microsoft Word document formatting can be applied locally for example if clicked into this word can make it bold and could change its color or it can be applied via style so for example this title here has the heading 1 style applied to it could choose heading 2 heading 1 or various other styles that are available to this document so if you only want to clear the formatting that's been applied locally and not the style formatting this is what you would do you'd first of all select your whole document you can do that by clicking anywhere inside it and then using the shortcut key control on your keyboard then use the shortcut key control space on your keyboard so that's got rid of any locally applied formatting but you can see that the formatting applied by Styles is still in place now if you want to get rid of all formatting the style formatting and the locally applied formatting then don't use control space instead use this button here clear or formatting and you'll find that on the Home tab of your Ribbon okay that's all wanted to cover in this particular video hopefully that's useful if it is please give me thumbs up and subscribe and I'll see you next video
