Boiling Water vs Germs Under Microscope Does boiling pond water kill bacteria

today we're going to be finding out if boiling stagnant Palm water we'll get rid of all the germs to make it drinkable when inspecting it through the light you can see tons of debris and organisms floating around there was also this damselfly larva at the bottom that removed let's take look at this Palm water under the microscope as you can see there's some worms present and many different kinds of cells to look at there were also few Rota for swimming around and lot of bacteria most of the bacteria is coming from this other water that I've had sitting out for couple weeks now and it has biofilm on the surface in survival situation you'd probably want to filter it with shirt or some kind of cloth before boiling but we're testing out the worst case scenario the CDC says it only needs to come to boil for around one minute to kill 99 of bacteria and viruses but according to the who water temperature of around 158 degrees will kill 99 of bacteria in less than one minute which means the bacteria should actually be dead by the time the water even starts to boil also read that boiling for five minutes eliminates all kinds of pathogens so that's what did here and now that that I've let it cool off we can see if boiling the Palm water worked got big sample of the debris settled at the bottom when looking through few different samples didn't really see anything alarming all came across was dirt microscopic Pebbles and even found this empty diatom shell there were some small amounts of different algaes present but I'm not sure if these would cause any kind of harm and we definitely lost some of the water in the process but would 100 percent rather drink this water than the water we started with as always let me know what you'd like to see next down below and thanks for watching
