conversation message so I've got Radio 4 on in the background and step into the shower when wake up I'll go to the toilet so suppose I'll brush the toilet and then wash my hands Splash my face shave brushing teeth every time when you turn on your tap and something comes out of it there'll be an inner thought in my mind should really be having the water running if if really don't need it and then just ignore it and and just have shower downstairs to put the kettle on first coffee of the day use quite lot of water washing fruit and vegetables and then actually usually put on the washing machine as well I've got to be honest literally do not take into consideration how much water use day I'm really aware of all the different issues that are going on with regards to resources natural resources with the water and it's bit like you know obviously you see famines and things like that on TV but you'll still eat or waste food think make almost conscious decision to switch off know that it's not affecting me then you realize how precious this resource is because we take it for granted just like air we take it for granted till we are suffocated then we realize air is important we certainly are living beyond our means in terms of utilization of Natural Resources particularly water being one of the critical ones there are lots of problems in terms of access to CL water don't think they're confined necessarily to the countries of the developing World in other words contamination and pollution you have to make sure that that water is safe or else you are really Distributing water and by through that you're Distributing sickness and death there are millions of men and women living in the world for whom this is the daytoday reality although human beings often think we are in control of the world in fact we're not and that we can very easily any tsunami or earthquake or any natural disaster can make us very aware of our vulnerability there are moments in my life as priest where I'm using water see it has meaning Beyond just the liquid in front of me the water is that powerful symbol because water can symbolize both death you can drown in water but it also symbolizes life we can't live without water parts of the world which are already flood prone are likely to be more flood prone parts of the world which are already drop prone are likely to be more drop prone almost all the impacts of climate change have link to Walker and the impacts of climate change are going to exacerbate poverty there is view over the last 20 years that water is no longer free good so think there's going to be lot of pressure on some very very poor people mean do we want private companies which are responsible only to their shareholders and not to anyone else to be completely in control of the only resource without which human life cannot survive privatization will lead to rationing of commodity that was everybody's and now you charge people to come and get what was originally theirs if we continue the way we are then these resource constraints they are already causing strife within countries they are likely to cause Strife across borders and and the international Arena and one hears about potential water wars that might arise out of these scarcity issues which would get exacerbated with climate change in the Quran it always talks about water the significance about it the importance about it and which is always connected to heaven in in the Quran it would always say the river flowing streams the garden the river that's always heaven and and and and also in any faith regardless of of what we believe in we're all the same people we all depend on the same things in order to survive so we should always have it and always share it to to as many people as as that need that really it is possible to find Solutions solutions that are within people's reach we need to give or we need to make available affordable Technologies to store water to get water but side by side we also need to make sure that the social mechanism is there which takes care of it which Treasures it which looks after it so that the benefit is not for one day not for one month not for one year but it is for year after year
