foreign and welcome you all to your science class my dear students as you know that we are on chapter number three that is human health and today will deliver its second lecture and in today's lecture the students will be able to learn about the spread of diseases and mode of disease transmission so my dear students let's quickly recap what we did in the previous lecture quickly answer this that what is happening to this boy he is having cough she is having fever and the boy is having influenza or flu so in the previous lecture we discussed about different diseases so you will able to understand about different diseases what is illness when your body is not fit or having some symptoms of diseases then it is called an illness what are the symptoms of common illnesses for cuff you have coughing and you have sore throat in fever we have cough and we have high fever more than 98 Fahrenheit or 37 degree centigrade so my dear students am speaking activity so what is this what will happen if you will touch the handful of germs they will spread and if you will eat said food what will happen the Flies and mosquitoes they carry lot of germs and if they sit on your food they will the germs can enter your body and make you ill and if you eat from Street vendors some idea students so given pictures to students and ask them to present before class that how these can be spread by these ways one by one pause the video and students will come and discuss and present about each picture very good hope you have enjoyed the activity let's move forward by the end of today's lecture students will be able to differentiate between contagious diseases and non-contagious diseases and relate the transmission of common communicable diseases like touching sneezing and coughing to human contact so my dear students are contagious or non-contagious diseases some common diseases some idea students here you can see the spread of diseases as today's lesson let's quickly look at the Islamic perspective do not curse fever for it takes away the sins of the sons of the Adam as the furnace remove away from Iron so my dear students so my dear students some pre-reading questions do all diseases spread from one person and to another or not no not all the diseases spread from one person to another question is so spread of diseases quickly open page number 41 in your science four books hope you have opened the book now we will start reading spread of diseases it is common to observe that when one person has flu many others around him or her have become affected after few days what do you think why it is because the germs from the affected person spread in surroundings such as in the air and may stick on the other surfaces when healthy person touches contaminated surfaces germs enter his body and the person becomes affected it is how some of the diseases spread especially that spread from person to person are called contagious or communicable diseases such as measles tuberculosis hepatitis polio covid-19 Etc so my dear students how is it possible this is possible because when unhealthy person touches surface like table or pen or pencil when the healthy person touches the same surface the germs transfer from the from that surface to the healthy person is when we breathe or hepatitis polio and foreign not all diseases spread in the same way person to person the diseases that do not spread from one person to another person are called non-contigal diseases such as cancer diabetes Etc such diseases are not mostly caused by germs germs cause contagious diseases the transmission of germ means transmission of diseases either directly or indirectly here are some common germ transmission modes so my dear students from one person to another transfer acid diseases diseases diabetes and cancer diseases and if am healthy person will touch it again so may get ill so this is how germs transfer and this is called mode of transmission of germs so now we will discuss about different modes of transmission of germs here number eight touching and sneezing on the picture you can see that oral transmission of flu covid-19 when we breathe in the air foreign germs spread in the air just like this healthy person inhale contaminated air and becomes affected diseases like flu covid-19 hepatitis tuberculosis measles Etc spread through sneezing and coughing so my dear students okay had measles few years back and one of my students had measles day or two after few days and then he was at his homos after few days started having caffeine high fever and then had small red spots all over my body and then knew that had measles so this is how the germs spread from person to person next is touching some germs can live on different objects when healthy person touches infected surfaces and then touches his eyes nose or eats with contaminated hands germs enter into his body and become affected and they can make you ill many illnesses and diseases are transmitted through contact by touching the infected places diseases like common cold pink eye hepatitis measles Etc spread this way so when you touch different surfaces which are Touched By An affected person and you can see unhealthy affected person and then you touch the same surface is contagious diseases touching different touches surfaces indirect transmission sometimes individuals become affected even in absence of affected person such is the case of diarrhea the reason is use contaminated food or water so most probably you can get ill so diseases there are two types of diseases contagious and non-contagious diseases the examples of contagious diseases are measles polio covid-19 TB and hepatitis whereas the examples of non-contagious diseases are cancer and diabetes so contagious diseases are like coughing and if the healthy person comes near him he can have the cuff measles they also are contagious TB it is also contagious polio it is also contagious and covid-19 it is also contagious disease they transfer from unhealthy person to the healthy person so non-contagious diseases are like they do not affect the healthy person any if he is ill though it will not affect the healthy person he will remain healthy so acid diseases cancer and diabetes these are the non-contagious diseases examples of heart problems these are also non-contagious BP problems blood pressure problems these are all non-contagious diseases sneezing and coughing in mods of transmission and they can make you ill or indirect method when you eat contaminated food or water so that's how you can get ill or when you are bitten by different mosquitoes or flies so now is the time for an activity visit your kitchen school canteen and identify hazardous that may cause diseases prepare list and discuss it with your teacher so that the school can kitchen can be made risk-free so my dear students and then complaint to your parents or your teachers distribution of food with dirty hands is so now is the time for practice for practice you can download this worksheet from the description box below this video or you can get it in print form by teacher classify the actions below as ways that cause spread of the diseases or as ways that help stop the spread of diseases spreading and precaution prevention sharing food coughing sneezing staying home wearing masks sharing food or yeah preventing Jessica stay at home so this is how you will identify the habits into two columns next is types of reservoirs so here are different reservoirs given you have to name each so human Reservoir animal Reservoir insect Reservoir water reservoir food Reservoir soil Reservoir right under the given topic okay so you will submit it to your teacher and then we will move forward towards evaluation which type of diseases can be transmitted go with 19 polio hepatitis TB they are they can be transmitted easily and they are called contagious what type of food can cause infection infections contaminated food and water can cause infections so quickly don't know down your homework you will do question number two from section and question number four one from section from section you will do question number one and from section you will do question number two in your notebooks so this is your homework it is given on page number 50. and now we will move forward towards next there is also another homework which is McQ 3 and 4. this is given on page number 49. 3 and 4 McQ you will do this in your homework and then we will move forward towards the wrap up what we have learned today today we learned that the reasons are of types by mode of transmission different modes of transmission disease contagious diseases transmit from one person to another non-contagious diseases do not transmit and mode of transmission of diseases are coughing sneezing touching contaminated surfaces contaminated food or water so my dear students hope you have enjoyed today's lecture keep everybody around you safe memories and if you are ill go to go see doctor and stay at home keep everybody around you safe have good day thank you so much
