Hello everybody and welcome to Linda's Stamping Escape and to our Summerween party. That's right, we are celebrating Halloween this June. It is the 25th and am so happy that you could join us. So, when you pop in, say hello. Like to see who I'm stamping with. It's going here and tonight we are going to create some magic with these Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder. don't know about you, but love embossing folders. So, show me the hands out there for anybody who loves embossing folders. think they are the most e-cost effective product you can have in your stamping lineup. And say that because they create so much dimension and fun and there's so many different things you can do with embossing folders when you're card making. So, yes, love them. Hello Eileen, how are you this evening? So, we are going to start rolling here and again, the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder and here it is and another reason you guys are going to want to put this on your wish list because not only is it stars and swirls and everything cute, but look at it actually holds two quarter sheets of paper in there. So, that's awesome. And just love this pattern. I'll set that off to the side. Bring these up little closer for you. did one in foil and then one in regular cardstock. And look at how nice those turned out. So, Hello Sandy, welcome. So, we are going to play around with this little bit and see if there's fun technique that you haven't tried with these yet. So, I'm going to start out just with the basics. Eileen says she loves this world of magic holder. yes. This will be available July 1st when the new online exclusives go live. So, won't be long and you'll be able to order this, but definitely want to grab that cuz have feeling this one's going to go fast. And it's because you could use this for so many different holidays. So, Christmas. That is one of the reasons why did the foil one. So, you guys could get to see what that would look like and how pretty that could be for Christmas in silvers and golds and in this bronze copper one. So, Okay, I'm just starting out with A2 sized card and then my mat is 4 by 5 and quarter. hope these aren't all on empty. Okay, so just super quick card tonight. With this one, this is our first one. That's our base. And then, here is the embossed piece. hope you guys don't mind that I'm actually not embossing right on during the live, but it's just so much to bring the machines in and out and don't have fancy camera that actually does that, so this way can keep it pretty well. Okay, here we go again. This was not This was my issue yesterday. All right, I'm going to go Let me go this way. can pull that little bit so can get good look at all sides to make sure I'm getting that as straight as can. There we go. Now, if would have been smart, would have used the adhesive sheets to cut this out. So, my little boo comes from the Alphabet Alamode Dies. These are currently on the last chance list. So, if you like alphabets, this is nice one. You can see by the width of the card what size this is. It's nice for cards, great for scrapbooking. So, it's it's good size and it has numbers in there, too. So, hi Deb. If didn't get to say hello, am sorry. Catch up with you there. So let's put little glue on these. Again, this one's just going to be sweet and simple with that background. Okay, come on little guy. Now There we go. Just going to stick that right here. And number two sides and bottoms mostly. Cute little way to make card. And again with those embossing folders, it just makes everything so easy cuz you have pattern and you have texture already on there, right? And again, this one is going to be so versatile. You're going to love it. And that's what like about alphabets. like to invest my money into things that can use not just for little bitty season, but for as long as can. So there we go. And have to since got boo here, I'm going to stick one right here. One of here. So they're just teasing. And these little guys are just so stinking cute. cannot help it. There we go. So, there they are. And such super sweet little quick and easy card. And Candy says, "Boo to all." So, yes, they are adorable. So, yesterday we did the the little bats and you might be seeing them today, too. So, all right, let's put this one aside and let me bring in don't want to drop my tool here. We're going to come back with another black one. And have basic black That's your A2 card. So, we got that. And then did mat which is 4 by 5 and 1/4. And this is the cute little paper that we used yesterday. So, want to change this up hair. So, thank you, Sandy. just to give you an idea of something else that you can do with your dies. Now, am using the craft white ink here. And am Let me grab piece of paper here. So, don't get this all over my stuff and then smear up my next project. That would be horrible. So, I'm just going to start off the edge and just drag it down. And we are going to start and go from the side, too. Add some fun dimension here. And with Halloween that looks kind of spooky, right? We want to mostly just drag it lightly, so we're hitting the high spots on our paper. So, it's going to soak in little bit. And when you're done, it kind of looks like that. Which is really kind of cool, cuz here, let me bring this little closer. It gives you that chalkboard effect. just love that. So cute. So, we're going to move this so we don't get that all over our project. And then this is actually our back. So, we got that cut to size. And then what want to do is add this piece on here. So, my gosh, you guys, you should come down in my basement because have lot of quarter sheets pre-cut. And crazy me, was running all sorts of colors through the folder yesterday and was just having blast with it. Okay, I'm going to do this one at 1 and 3/4 inch. And I'm going to cut that. And let me see if that's going to give me enough or if want to use the wider piece. Depends on how much yellow or think I'm going to use the wider one and we'll save that other piece for later. Okay, now got some more fun. So, remember that first one Elaine said, love that orange paper." Yes, that comes with the whole suite that shared the other day. Now, I'm going to come in with this Granny Apple green and I'm going to cut this at 3/4. And got what call raw edges. just don't know. There's something about raw edges. It just kind of weird me out. So, don't like that big space there. don't know what you want to call it, but So, I'm actually going to put this in the middle. And what that's going to do is create that little barrier. And then the green is going to not just add pop of color to our card, but it's going to hide that raw edge that drives me crazy. Now, don't ask me why my brain does not consider these two raw edges. don't know. It hasn't figured that out yet. So, but just love that. So, we're going to bring this down don't know about here. want some of that pretty orange to really show. And the little swirls and stars that you see on your designer paper just kind of match up with all of this, too. Okay. So, got just little bit of hang over here. And not the kind of hangovers that we're thinking, but we're just going to trim that little piece off there. The rest of it is going to be hidden under this beautiful shiny ribbon. So pretty. So, we're going to come like this. That's going to tie all our colors together. And I'm going to put my adhesive on the back. And then what I'm going to do is line it up from the front. Pull that edge back, which is now sticking in all our adhesive. Make sure I'm still as bring this around. And pull this back. There we go. Give that little snip. And then I'm going to take my bone folder and I'm going to push that down into my adhesive. Now, with the Stampin' Seal, it works really nice, but old habits die hard and still to this day, even though this works so much nicer, go over my ribbon. Because when you have something that sticks up little bit from your card front, it's going to want to push that off. So, we're going to be the boss and we are going to show that Oops, I'm going this way. Show that who's the boss, we are. And that is super sticky now, as you can see. So, try to pull my fingers out. There we go. And we're just going to run that down. Look at that color. Is that not pretty? love it. Okay, for our greeting, introduced you to this yesterday. These are the words for the Season Dies. They are available in the store right now. And you have New Year's, you have Christmas, Halloween, there's merry, autumn. So, greetings, all sorts of good stuff in there. Again, like to purchase those things that can use all year long and it just gives you better bang for your buck. And I'm just going to take this and give it nice trim. love these scissors. wish Stampin' Up would bring these back. They were pricey, but they're so worth it. Okay, so I'm going to slide that under this piece here and then we're going to wait cuz want to get my words down here. So, picked out the Halloween. I'll set this down here and get my take your pick tool. And I'm just going to lift this up cuz did use the adhesive sheets for this. Works so slick. wish would have did it with my little boo that you saw me do on the first card. We're going to pull this off. And then just let me grab edge here. Instead of on my finger. And want to just put this down here. All right. I'm going to pull in my where it belongs. Push that down. Oops. There we go. Am straight? Tip it towards me. Make sure got that straight. Beautiful. Push that down. And then we're going to get the So, the first letter even though it's all on one die cut, it does cut the separately which is kind of cool cuz then you can place it little higher up if you'd like or line it right up. So, let's pull that off of there. Flip this around. And get See, like if you want, you could put that down there. am not. am going to line this all up. I'm going to push the end onto my so have nice connected greeting there. You can keep it separate. And then we're just going to do Halloween. No need for the happy. We're going to put our little bow right here. So now you just tie knot. What's nice about these bows is they do not fall off because of the way they're cut. don't know if you can see this gorgeous shiny ribbon, but it is so pretty. Okay. Now we got our bow here and I'm bringing back them cute little bats. my gosh, you guys, I'm in love with these. Now yesterday, think showed you their little eyeballs and their their little smiles and stuff. So we're going to put one down here by our ribbon. And then we're going to go way to the other side over here for our Halloween. We're going to put him right there. And then we're going to put our third one up here by the where happy could go, but we're making happy bats. think want him floating this way. He's going to fly in the other direction. There we go. So they're like all over. So how cute is that? Those little embellishments just really kick off that card, don't they? And that pop of granny apple green, woo, that just pops up our orange even more. So there we go. And this is technique. Let me know if you've ever done this technique with dragging color over that. and you could do like white and do any other color you want on there. So, you just explore, have some fun. All right, got one more. am actually going to put the bats away for this one. my gosh, you guys, I'm thinking have little bit too much Halloween going on. Last night had dream that spider was coming at me. Holy cow, I'll tell you you've never seen me jump and throw that blanket so far in my whole life. It was crazy. All right. So, this pretty paper you've seen me use. think we did this last week, didn't we? And this is want to call it Paradise Garden. I'm thinking it's part of that whole sweet. but yeah, it's gorgeous paper. Let me show you the other side so you guys know which one I'm talking about. And I'm going to use the blue one. And we are running that through the designer paper. mean through the folder until we get this. So, now we have this nice embossed look over this watercolor look. And wish Stampin' Up still sold these too, but it's sanding block. So, if you find those, look at what it does. And when you use our two-tone card stocks, they have that white core in the center, so you can do the sanding technique with it. So, on our solid black cardstock, we dragged the white crafting across it, and now because this has the white core inside, we're just going to sand that off little and expose some of that white or swirlies shining through even more. Now, if was sitting in front of the TV, what might do is take my Wink of Stella and actually go over all my little swirls, but don't have time for that tonight, so or we'll see. maybe later after I'm done. All right. So, now we got our exposed stuff there, and we are going to have little fun with this. hope got my stamp all right. There we go. We are in Berry Blueberry Bushel. So, there's our card base, again, 8 and 1/2 by 11, scored and folded at 4 and 1/4. And then have 4 by 5 and 1/4 inch mat that our designer paper will sit over. Now, cut this just little bit smaller, so that is your 5 and 1/8 by 3 and 7/8. So, it's just did 8 cents that quarters on this one because didn't want whole lot of white showing through. So, Dwayne said she never saw that technique before. Well, I'm glad we got to show you something fun and new. That's what we like to do here. So, that makes me excited that somebody got to see something new and fun. All right. We're going to set this down here. Catch my edges. that is tight on there. Okay. But, we got it. Okay. Then, we are going to take This is from Stylish Shapes. And while did that, cut out two little red ones as well. And then, because don't have designated 4th of July kind of stamp set, this came in my Paper Pumpkin. So, love that and the fact that Paper Pumpkin gives you an exclusive stamp set each time you get your Paper Pumpkin, it's pretty cool, right? So, then you get extra stamp set with all the other fun stuff. So, this one says time to celebrate. And am going to turn our card into 4th of July card. So, I'm going to flip this upside down, and what I'm going to do is put my adhesive on here. And then, I'm going to take this one and I'm going to put little red behind there. And then, I'm going to take this one and stick it out further, so we get little more, right? Want that different levels. Then, I'm going to put my adhesive back on the red. And I'm going to bring it over here, and I'm going to line this up near the bottom. And I'm going to bring it almost to the edge. got to watch where my stamp is. don't want it too close or too far away. That looks pretty even. I'm going to actually look that way. Okay, I'm going to flip this upside down and secure that. One more time, make sure I'm straight. Good. And then I'm going to cut this excess off back here. Excellent. Now, if you want, you could pop this up. Now, why does that look crooked to me? You guys, did not just try to make that straight three times? Okay. How does that look? don't know if it's me or just All right, trim that off. That looks better. Okay, now we can put this onto here. If you wanted to, you could pop this up. am not, but you could. My ladies at club and all my classes know that leave out my dimensionals. Okay, we are on our last Where did go wrong? That is good. And And then we're going to put this on here. So, we got our red, white, and blue. You can use this for the 4th of July. You can use it for Memorial Day. You could use it for Labor Day if you want to. And Where's my little pokey? These cute little stars are in the cattle in the catalog online. You can find them. And we're just going to pop them all over. Actually, I'm looking for little stars. So, that I'm going to put them right over the top, and then there's bigger one here. So, I'm going to place the big one right there. So, we could even do more stars if you think you'd like those. work with odd numbers, so three would put like two more on there, but don't know, think it kind of looks good the way it is. And these are foam stars, so and they come in black and white. Not sure what sweet they came with, but oops, and my inside the fireworks actually came in that same Paper Pumpkin Kit. I'm going to ink that up, and I'm going to stamp that right there over the top, so we got our little red, white, and blue there as well. Oops, these are the empty ones. have to move them. Make sure they go back downstairs and get refilled. And if you can see, this is the Stampin' Seal Plus, so am not putting as much on as do on the other one. And we have our inside decorated. And you can have lot of fun. There you go. So, this definitely does not have to scream Halloween, although don't know, it screams pretty good Halloween, don't you think? So, there are three cards made with our gorgeous paper, mean folder. It is again the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder. And you can do different techniques with it. You can use it just plain. have more techniques to show you and fun things to do with this. So, you will definitely be seeing more of this in upcoming lives and everything else.
