the pronouns in Arabic are called which is the plural of meaning the pronoun and its indefinite form is meaning pronoun there are two types of pronouns in Arabic number one meaning the detached pronouns and number two meaning the attached pronouns in today's lesson we are going to learn about the detached pronouns in Arabic before we learn the detached pronouns let's know the characteristics of these pronouns number one these are meaning definite nouns number two these are always meaning they are always in the nominative case and number three these are meaning they are indeclinable they have fixed case ending are divided into three parts number one the pronouns for third person which is called which literally means absent then we have the pronounce for or second person which is called meaning addressy which is the one being spoken to and number three the pronouns for first person which is called mut meaning the speaker in today's lesson we'll explore the detached pronouns for third person we have learned that according to the number of nouns in Arabic we have three types of nouns which are meaning singular meaning dual and meaning plural let's start with the pronoun used for singular masculine third person which is meaning he let's take an example muham meaning where is Muhammad to answer such questions we can say mam meaning Muhammad is in the classroom where the noun Muhammad is Al meaning the subject and is meaning the predicate however to answer such questions we usually use the pronounce so instead of saying mam we say meaning he is in the classroom where is Al and is it fine let's move on for the pronoun used is meaning they but referring to two entities for example meaning where is Muhammad and hammed since we have two entities here which are Muhammad and Hamid so the pronoun we use to answer this question is so will say meaning they are in the school taking another example meaning where are the two students is the Dual form of meaning the student they are in the principal's office in the sentence is it's relative phrase meaning the principal's office and the noun is ma because of preceding it now the pronoun for third person masculine plural is meaning they for example meaning where are the students is the plural of meaning the student they are in the classroom now let's explore the pronouns used for third person feminine nouns starting from singular which is meaning she for example where is fa she is in the school for dual feminine nouns the pronoun used is which is the same used used for masculine dual nouns so here we can say the pronoun used for both dual masculine and dual feminine nouns is taking an example meaning where is fa and they are in the room here they refers to two entities which is Fatima and Zab taking another example meaning where are the two doctors means two female doctors they are in the hospital Al Musta means the hospital and here they refers to two entities okay now the pronoun used for feminine third person plural is meaning they for example meaning where are the doctors but referring to female doctors because is feminine noun so to answer that question we will use the pronoun so we say they are in the hospital now let's compare the pronouns used in English with the pronouns used in Arabic he in Arabic is ha she in Arabic is he they in Arabic we have hum which is used for both dual masculine and dual feminine nouns and we have whom which is used for plural masculine nouns and which is used for plural feminine nouns in English we also have the pronoun it for this pronoun we can use both ha and here depending whether noun is masculine or feminine if you remember when explain the plural of nouns said the nouns could either be or means saying which refers to those who are able to think clearly and in this category fall humans genin and Angels such as Muhammad doctor engineer student devil Etc means not SE and in this category fall everything other than these three entities such as dog Stone Sky water book cat Etc let's understand the usage of pronouns for with examples meaning where is the book it is on the table translated ha as it because the noun Al is we can't say he is on the table because the pronoun he is used for okay also the noun Al is so the pronounce for it is the following example will make it more clear where is the watch the noun is and how do we know that because the noun ends on so we will use feminine pronoun for it so we say meaning it is on the bed we don't say she is on the bed because the noun is clear alhamdulillah let's move on where are the two books they are in the bag here they refers to two entities where are the two watchs they are on on the bed from these examples we understand that the pronoun for dual form of nouns that is for is and it doesn't matter which type of noun it is whether masculine or feminine or or is used for all kinds of dual form of nouns now let's see what is the case with plural nouns where are the books is the plural of they are in the library you see the pronoun used here is the pronoun for third person singular feminine why because the noun is plural of not say noun that is plural of and for the plurals of nouns the pronoun used is taking another example meaning where are the cars is the plural of meaning the car meaning they are on the street once again the pronoun used here is because is plural of noun also so don't get confused by the translation means in but in the translation we have on that is how it is said in English and that is why it is necessary to learn the language of the Quran to understand it properly so the pronoun used for that is the plural of is third person singular feminine which is here alhamdulillah that's it for today's lesson in the next lesson I'll explain the rest of the pronouns inshallah until then
