welcome to math with Mr Jay in this video I'm going to cover how many faces edges and vertices triangular pyramid has let's start by identifying and counting all of the faces so the flat surfaces that make up this triangular pyramid let's start with the two faces in the front so we have one to the left in the front and then another one to the right in the front so that's two faces then we have one in the back that's three faces and then this face here so four total faces next let's identify and count all of the edges the edges are the line segments formed by two faces meeting for example this is an edge right here so let's start there one two and then the one up front so that's three now let's go around the base so four five six six total edges and then lastly let's identify and count all of the vertices vertices are the points or Corners formed by three or more edges meeting for example this is one of the vertices right here so let's start here so we have one two three and four so four total vertices so there you have it triangular pyramids have four faces six edges and four vertices hope that helped thanks so much for watching until next time peace
